celexa sweating

Celexa does, but when I started to take it I had that problem for about 4 to 5 weeks. Has not happened again. I started taking them early summer so I went though very hot weather.

So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad? I don't see the dr till Thursday, so I can't ask her... If anyone has any suggestions?

i have been taking zoloft for about 9 days 50 mg and prior to this i was on celexa i now at night sweat my heart pounds and legs shake and twitch how long does this last and is it normal?

Has anyone else taking Fluoxetine (similar to Prozac) experienced side effects? I have noticed some odd changes in the way my body responds to exercise; specifically, excessive sweating. I'm not sure if the medication is directly linked, but in the past year (I have been taking the drug for about 2.5 years) I break into an all over the body sweat very easily, and it has happened even when I'm not exercising.

I currently take 40mg of celexa at night and am taking 37.5 mg of phentemerine. I have not noticed any side effects but what are they I am curious if ever i noticed something different about myself. I cant find anything on the internet to find an answer to this question.

I WOULD USUALLY GET IT WHEN STRESSED,NERVOUS,EXERCISING BUT IT WOULD GO AWAY AS SOON AS I WOULD START SWEATING. NOW IT SEEMS IAM ITCHY ALL THE TIME AND I CAN NO LONGER SWEAT. But I will tell you that Lexapro and Celexa are far more known for the sweating problem than Zoloft is -- it is one of the more common side effects of both Celexa and even more with Lexapro, and I got it from both of them.

I am a 4'10" 27 year old female weighing 102 lbs. I am prescribed celexa 40 mg and adderall 30 mg BID (2x a day) by the same doctor. Lately I can't sleep at night my blood pressure is high 130/90. My heart rate seems really fast. Hi there. Well, Zoloft does seem to have some sweating associated with it. Doesn't happen to everyone but who cares if it is happening ot you, right? How long have you been taking it? Are you at a stable dose yet? How are you feeling in terms of anxiety/depression? These are important questions as it is often a trade off to treat these major concerns and then sometimes put up with side effects that are a pain but not serious.

Hi, I recently was sent to the ER by my physican due to a reaction I was having from my celexa. I was having extreme anxiety, high blood pressure, sweating, tremors, shaking, etc. They had me stop the celexa. My doctor had me start Zoloft. I have been on it for six days and some of the same symptoms are starting again plus muscle tightness in the chest and throat. She told me to stop the zoloft. I asked if I should titrate it, but I was told to just stop it.

I am on Celexa which is being weined and Prozac was started yesterday. I cold turkey quit Lortab 60mg as f 6pm on Sunday after 8 months of use. Today when I get up too quickly, I become very dizzy and almost pass out. Am I in seratonin syndrome?

Many people would rather fight the sides without an a/d, but since I was taking this before tx, I continued. I was on celexa then Lexapro and went back to celexa. Ever since I started taking celexa and neurotin i feel weird, my anxiety feels worse than it did im dizzy sweating nervous feeling, very tired, stomach pain, sever headaches im going nuts and its making me and my husband fight cause he thinks I can control this on my own.

I was taking celexa 20 mg for 4 months and it was the first med that ever helped my depression significantly. However, I was experiencing severe side effects, myalgia (mostly in my left leg) nausea, headaches, tired all the time, so I decided to cut my dose to 10 mg and then stop. About 2 days after I cut down I start experiencing severe withdrawal that I have never experienced coming off any other depression med, and I have been on many. My Dr. said to stop taking it all together.

i have the same problem as u. i think i have hyperhidrosis, and so it puts me in a cycle of sweating - fear of sweating- sweating more...etc... i sometimes try to say to myself that the hell with it i dun care, but its harder done than said. i need a solution too..

I've been taking Celexa now for about 4 months, and I started experiencing "fibromyalgia-like" symptoms 2-3 months ago. All joints on both sides of my body hurt (especially my knees), and I too feel like someone is pricking me with a block of needles all the way across my shoulders. I have been researching fibromyalgia as well as googling "Celexa and joint pain" on the web, and I'm convinced that Celexa is the culprit. I just saw my psy.

I've never taken Celexa myself, but if the TV commercials are to be believed, 99.9% of the world IS! I'm sure someone else here has had experience with it and will be getting in touch soon. If not, post again until you wake someone up!

Check the interactions with celexa. They have determined that taking celexa with tramadol or other analgesics can cause serotonin syndrome. I am not against anti-depressants at all they have their place but the bottom line is all of these brain chemicals have to "remember" and re-establish pathways and boost their own production. I have had the same positive results from working out and sweating out all the **** that I have taking Celexa.

I know Celexa, lexapro and Sertraline both gave me night sweats. They are all selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Effexor is an SNRI, serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. I think since they both inhibit serotonin, that most likely is the reason you're sweating. The effect for me didn't lessen with time, it was every night for as long as I took them.

Not a doc, but the combo of Lexapro and Effexor is pretty odd to me. They both affect serotonin, but Effexor also affects norepinephrine. I can switching from one to the other, but don't understand taking both. You do need to discuss this thoroughly with a psychiatrist, but I'd personally get another opinion if you can for these reasons: This one is just adding meds to meds that don't work. That isn't how augmentation is usually done.

When I mean I was tired I mean like beyond exhausted all the time. So anyway my doctor started me on Celexa and ordered some bloodwork. My bloodwork came back that I had Lyme disease. I took the doxycycline for a month and man that stuff is brutal. I honestly didn’t feel much better. Still exhausted as always. And then I started to develop night sweats 2 months later. But I was also sick with a sinus infection and some kind of throat infection.

I'm completely freaking out. I have General Anxiety Disorder and I don't think my medication is working. I've been on Citalopram (20mg) since March but my panic attacks are becoming more frequent, I'm sweating, trembling, my heart is beating super fast, I have really bad nausea, and I'm either sleeping too much or not at all. Many of the symptoms you experienced are potential side effects of Celexa (aka Citalopram), namely agitation, anxiety, fatigue, drowsiness, sweating, and panic. There is no question that you did the right thing in immediately notifying your doctor of these side effects and I'm glad you did. While it is unfortunate that your experience with Celexa was a negative one, it is important not to generalize your experience to all antidepressants.
