Celexa missed dose

Common Questions and Answers about Celexa missed dose

celexa

Avatar n tn How many days ago did you quit, and what was your dosage? Perhaps you don't have enough information to know that the Celexa rewires your brain, and coming off involves you rewiring it back to normal. So the rewiring phase can be brutal if not phased in. My doc tapered me off my normal 30mg by 10 mg at a time every 2 weeks. The pharmacist thought he was overkilling, but doc even had me taking 5s for the last 2 weeks.
209384 tn?1231168306 ve been drugged. Realized the Celexa was causing this when I missed taking it a couple of nights in a row for different reasons. Wasn't on purpose, but boy did I feel better in the morning. So took it again last night and am just dead today. Also noticed a dramatic difference in my ability to laugh on the days when I hadn't taken it. Haven't been on anything for the mania ever.
Avatar m tn I am on Tecfidera 240 mg dose. It just occurred to me I missed the morning dose. I have a call into the specialty pharmacy for direction. I didn't find much on the web except "take it as soon as you remember and if close to your next dose take it then but don't double up". This is the first time I missed since starting therapy last month. I feel terrible. Is this incredibly bad?
427555 tn?1267553158 If someone missed synthroid for 4 days, is it ok to take all the missed doses together? A friend went away and forgot their synthroid medication at home.
Avatar f tn Do I still take the ribavirin pills since I missed the dose? After 4 weeks I was tested and no virus was showing so I am worried that this is going to be a set back. I am anemic as well. Just need to know what to do??? Hep clinic closed for weekend as is doc office and pharmacist had no clue. Anyone been through this?
Avatar f tn I could not tolerate the side effects any longer, so I made the decision to stop taking it. The day after my first missed dose, I felt a numbnes come over the entire left side of my body. I felt clumsy, dizzy..overall pretty miserable. I called my MD who prescribed ativan as needed for anxiety & he wants me to follow up with him next week. I felt much better yesterday, and I have been sleeping MUCH better...
Avatar m tn you were on the max dose of Celexa for five years, went off a month ago and then began to feel crappy again. I hate to be the bad witch here, (please see photo) BUT...............you should never have taken it upon yourself to restart this med without your docs approval and in my humble opinion, you most certainly should not have titrated immediately to your 60mg dose.
Avatar f tn m not sure why you were kept on such a low dose for 2 months, but you were also on a very low sub-therapeutic dose of Celexa so that might hold the answer.
Avatar f tn so i missed my dose of rivoferion last night fell asleep noticed this morning that i didnt take it. so nov.11th is is my last dose,by missing this dose did i just screw up my tx.i sure hope not!!!! and this is the first x.
Avatar f tn I should mention that I tried celexa at 10mg last year and it set me into major panic mode!
497348 tn?1283436066 Perhaps your dose should be adjusted. Ten mgs is a relatively low dose. I take Celexa and found while feeling a little better I was still struggling. Doc upped the dose and within a couple of weeks I was feeling great.
1460652 tn?1340248730 What you could consider is asking your doc for a benzo to go with it for one week,it willmake you calmer so that you cn up the celexa without too much anxiety about it.I also recommend taking your celexa at a set time each day,it works better that way.
Avatar n tn First - if your dr. recommends staying on the celexa - perhaps you should. Ask your Dr. why you need to stay on it - he/she might have good reasons. I know my dr. wanted me to wait until the spring to start decreasing the celexa since the longer days help with your seretonin levels. Second - when/if you do start decreasing celexa - you have to do it much more gradually.
Avatar f tn Hi, all - I am starting a very low dose (5 mg.) of Celexa tomorrow. I'm also taking 2 mg of valium. The deal is I am supposed to go up to 10 mg. and possibly more down the road. I understand that eventually, I'm supposed to stop the valium. Any ideas as to how to minimize side effects? I was told by my pharamcist to take it in the a.m. - does it matter if I take w/o food?
Avatar f tn It seems like the anxiety has been for a few weeks. I have been upping my Celexa very slowly to the normal dose I have taken in the past. Every time I up it, there's always a small adjustment period if a about a week which causes me anxiety. But that window has closed. I was thinking ut's the birth control. Unless I am getting addicted to Lunesta or Xanax. Again I take them maybe twice a week. Meds Celexa 15mg Lunesta 3mg Xanax .
1134609 tn?1269272200 My mother was on Celexa for depression and Topama for seizures, but was taken off of the Celexa because it was causing her problems. She's been free and clear of the Celexa for 3 months and is only on the Topamax and she hasn't had any issues since. In fact, she's the most stable she's been in a long time. My major issue with my BP disorder was the Celexa that I used to take; it was causing me to rapid cycle.
Avatar m tn Can I ask why your Dr is wanting you to reduce your dose? Are you not doing well on it any more or does he feel like you don't need it any more? If I remember correctly Celexa comes in 10 mg doses? Possibly 5 mgs? Sorry, but it's been a long time since I've been on it. Cutting your dose in half may cause some withdrawal. It's really hard to say. You may want to talk to your Dr about doing this more slowly.
Avatar n tn I've been using it for 13 years. My family dr prescribed it because I was experiencing post-partum depression. I started at the lowest dose and over the years they slowly increased it. I've now been on the same dose for about 8 years. I stayed on it because it helped me with my anxiety and depression that I've had since childhood. It made me not be at the whims of my moods and hormones. I can think clearly and do not fall into the cycle of anxiety and worry, like I used to do.
Avatar m tn I been on 15 mg celexa for 5 weeks now and it has helped me a little some of my anxiety symthoms have got better but I still feel like I can't breath and scared to be home alone because I have to be around people so if something bad happens someone can help me. Is this normal? or is my dose to low?
492898 tn?1222243598 It is also not a good idea at all to do what my oncologist told me to do and just switch from one to the other, and this is true for Celexa or Remeron, from one day to the next but he told me to go down to half the dose of Prozac for three days and then no Prozac for three days and then to half the dose of Remeron for a few days and then to the full dose. Just wanted to share this for whatever it's worth.
1240909 tn?1313712225 I believe that it depends on the medicine, but I think all medicines are most effective when you don't forget to take them. I also have a hard time. I missed a dose on Saturday. I only miss about once a month now, though. But, if you are taking Lamictel it actually can be dangerous. I think that if you stop taking Lamictel for 3 days in a row you have to start all over, because Lamictel can cause that dangerous rash. I would ask your doctor for specifics on your medications.
655242 tn?1229472744 So I tapered off my celexa about 3 days ago and of course I am having all the normal symptoms of withdrawl but one is really bothering me...I am having shortness of breath. I am not sure if it is true shortness of breath since it does not make it any worse to walk across the room but I just feel like I am forcing myself to take deep breaths constantly. Anyone else had this? I keep thinking maybe it is just anxiety but it wont go away.
1305767 tn?1361192676 He didn't really say much. Just upped my dosage of Celexa, gave me more ativan and ordered some blood work. I'm supposed to call my regular physician on Monday.
Avatar f tn OOOh ick, that is a drug you shouldn't do that with, there isn't any flexibility with that drug at all, it's not like lithium where you can up it a bit. Was this purposeful? are you sure it was just a double dose, if it's more go to your local ER, it could make you seriously ill. I would suggest if it's just a double dose, it will pass, I did that on celexa once and I was green around the gills. I'm forgetful.
Avatar m tn has anyone with tinnitus ever take celexa and feel like it made it worse ? and i have no idea what is causing mine. but its getting worse. i feel i have sinus problems. maybe that.
Avatar m tn I found Celexa to numb feeling, more than it lifted them. I had to stop taking it because I turned into an icequeen and couldn't feel any emotions.
