celebrex kidney problems

I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?

I think my back pain is due to my kidney problems but my leg pain is due to a heart cath the doctor said he had hit a nerve and that it would get better but its been a year and its gotten worse not better.

I have acid reflux disease and esophagus problems as well. Is it safe to take all this Ibuprofen with the stomach problems I have, or should I talk to my Dr. about possibly prescribing another medication? Would it be safer to go back to Meloxicam or try something like Celebrex? Thanks very much!

She konws me well and knows that I dont have any problems with drugs. As a matter of fact 3 yrs ago I passed a kidney stone in hospital and would go so long without a pain inj that finally the nurse told me not to wait so long b4 asking for a shot. Back to my question. The last norco Rx was for 60 taps it lasted me about 2 months,but it just doesnt really help with the pain,makes my head fuzzy but pain relief isnt much better than ibuporfen 800mg.

I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.

t think you would have much of a case if you did file against the manufacturer of Celebrex. GI problems, rashes, and even heart problems are documented possible side effects of Celebrex and many other non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. The GI problems are the most common and the heart problems and rashes are listed as being in the category of SEVERE side effects of the med and if you experience any of them, to contact your doctor right away.

Dear Doctor. Some days after start using Celebrex I noted a loss of vision in the central area of the vision in one eye. I cant read a letter that I was looking at, but I can see the letters in both sides of the letter I was looking. If I look with that eye to a white wall I can see a yellow circle sorrounding another smaller white circle.

Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. Hi so I have real bad body pain and health issues that cause it. I have found myself buying pain pills Percocet 5/325 and Vic 10s and take 1 sometimes 2 a day. And have been for a little over a month now. However my Dr is now giving me celebrex and it isn't working and I am scared that I am building up a tolerance to pills. Should I go a week and be miserable and then try the celebrex? My body hurts so bad I can't even move some days and I have 5 kids with the youngest being 2 yrs old.

I gave seen urologist, my ultrasound, ct and cystoscopy done along with urine test, bloid test. All negative. Urologist just gave me celebrex 100, which i see not effective. I m worried , how this burning and dicmfort will go. I m under a lot if stress as i has been 5 months. Urologist say it might b nerve pain or a bacteria attached to the wall of urethra. But did not give any treatmt. I have also on off discomft in left kidney after urination.

Then a few months later I caught a bad cold and the congestion I then had was something like I had never experienced. I really felt like it was from the celebrex. Anyway, I stopped it and I never that those problems again. I just recently tried the new "Elations" drink. I comes in 2 flavors and basically is liquid glucosomine and chondroitin. It tastes good, I usually mix it with a little water or carbonated water. It comes in a 6-pack for $6.

My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!

My joints were feeling like they had Charlie Horses inside the bones. My left ankle, knee, hip, and wrist were really cramping. He told me to stop the Celebrex. The pain subsided a little but my arm pain was back. Wednesday I was in the sun all day and then Thursday all hell broke loose. My arm started to REALLY hurt.

my gi didnt even know the dose to celebrex so i doubt he knows if its good to my liver! im telling yall hes stupid and i need to find a new dr asap!

She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.

Hi, again Well the tylenol helps but you can't take it all the time or you get liver problems. I off of Celebrex because I 'm not sure if it is the Celebrex or the Neurontin causing my eye problems. the other problem is that I can hardly do anything without tweeking myself. Like I tried to get into bed and I kind of semi-jumped up or reached too quickly up(very lightly trust me) and it pulled my back (a little). Also, just any too fast of a reach or turn.

I take Cellebrex everyday 200mg.. what is the difference or how can I find out the difference .. from Celebrex and Indomethacin? the Neuro said to stop the Celebrex for the time I take the other med..10 days.. she said to call her office next week and let them know how I'm doing. so I don't know.. my face if fine right now.. t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
