The joints were stiff espiecially in the morning, but through taking celebrex once a day i was able to regain a full range of motion. Initially the doctor took fluid from the knee joint because his feeling was that it may be gout. After receiving the results of this test to be negative for gout alongside with negative tests for lupus, rheumatoid and bacteria/infection through blood work i am left undiagnosed.

It is good that xray and MRI of the knee and other tests showed good results. Was there blood test done? This will help rule out infection or presence of gout. Knee pain usually results from arthritis (rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, and gout), baker's cyst, bursitis, connective tissue disorders such as lupus, dislocation of the kneecap, iIliotibial band syndrome, infection or any trauma or abnormalities in the structures in the knee.
Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.

I was hospitalized last year, and no one figured out after a million tests what my problem was, and the symptoms are back.
I have really bad pains in both of my hands and sometimes other joints. When I am not paying attention my hands fold up weird. I have nausea, fatigue, and diarrhea as well. Ten years ago, when I was 19, I saw an orthapediic surgeon for back problems, and he told me that I had the "bone structure of a 60 year old women".
Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. I am scared to death about it coz I have had so many problems lately.
No, it would be unheard of for Celebrex to damage your heart valve. Celebrex and similar drugs do cause high blood pressure in many individuals, though.
You might have gone forever and not known about the heart valve if you had not gotten high blood pressure from the Celebrex. Follow whatever advice the cardiologist gave you, and don't worry.
I never had high blood sugar but recently after a 10 day course of celebrex for an inflamed shoulder muscle my fasting blood sugar shot up to 137. I read that celebrex has this side effect. Is it reversible?

I have been on Allopurinol and had two rounds of steroids and within three days of being off the steroids my gout returns. According to the gout website, only 5% of all gout sufferers are women. The test to determine which type you have is to aspirate the fluid from the affected joint during an outbreak. You may not feel this is necessary since the medication is the same for both but the diets are different.

I have reoccurance of Gout every time I eat liver, liverwurst, cabage or spinach. I personally do not know about other drugs.
Woke up with bad case of gout. I have not been taking my Allopurinol. If I start it back up today do you think it will help with the gout pain and inflammation? I am taking Ibuprophen and soaking in epsom salts/hot water.
I was recently diagnosed with gout and although I do have pain in my big toe (mainly left, but also some in right), I'm having more trouble with my fingers - they are where the pain is worst and where I've got some tophi. How common/uncommon is it to have gout more in the fingers than the toe? I know it can affect other joints other than teh big toe, but just not sure how common it is and if it makes it any more difficutl to treat?
Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?
hi i have arthritis and i have had 4 joints totally replaced and i am only 35 with no kids. i am having so severe side effects from my med mainy celebrex i have had an heart test and was seen as early polarization , diagnosed with chronic gastrointestinal reflux and have skin rash and legions . i am thinking of a claim against them . but in the main time i dont want my doctors to feel bad as they have been with me since my early twenties.
