I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
It's been 11 days and I seem to be going through the norm. I am in a lot of back and joint pain. I am going to see my pain management doctor today. I take meloxicam for arthritis and I think I'm going to ask for a change. I have been told that Celebrex and Indomethacin is a good non narcotic combination. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
I'm 16 I started my cycle at 13 I've been on the pill to help with my severe cramps and around January 2012 I had a break through period that should have not been there I went to the ob gyn and they said I was still developing and it should be fine, but it never fixed itself from then to now I've been on depo which didn't work, estradiol, and the implanon, which all have not worked. I have been bleeding every day or every other day out of the year.
I just saw your post. I take 50 mcg's of synthroid every other day and I feel like a million bucks after doing so. I did it on my own because I felt and looked like **** when taking it everyday. I skip the medicine entirely every other day. It's a mistake to take two different doses every other day. Just stick with one dose every other day and give your body a total rest from the medicine every other day. I don't know why it works but it works.
Meloxicam is just a glorified Ibuprofen/Aleve med, so you could always try those OTC. You can take up to 800 mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours or 500mg of Aleve twice a day in it's place. Celebrex is a name brand drug and insurance companies hate those namebrands. lol Your doc can sometimes do a prior authorization, though, to get them to pay for it, which is basically paperwork explaining that you' ve tried other things and this is the only drug that works for you.
I was on Mobic for a year or so and never had any issues besides stomach pain (which any NSAID's can cause) I get stomach pain with any NSAID's. Mobic wasn't really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex.
five days before I started to use Celebrex I have gone to a ophtalmologist to rotine examination. In that day my vision was perfect: the visual test for glasses presented no problems. I was having such anxiety and sleep issues rhemy said to take it every day. Now 3 weeks later she wants to try the new coctail of celebrex and muscle relaxer. Tried the muscle relaxer the first night seemed to take a little of the night time pain away not much. The next day i seemed very emotional and shaky and thought maybe I was having withdraw from the xanax since I took it for 3 weeks straigt. Doctor said no not for that short lenght of time.
Hi about a year ago a had an injury at work that caused 2 herniated disks. I did the physical therapy for a while than realized I can do most of the pt stuff at home or at the gym. I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin.

Anyone know whether it is okay to take levothyroxine every other day? I am prescribed 75 mg for hypothyroidism, but due to insurance I decided to take levothyroxine every other day and 6 months later my blood test showed that my thyroid levels were...normal.
How can this be?? In fact, I really have not felt any side effects from this decreased dosage.
From there we got to talking about alternative medicines that I can do for pain and she put me on an old med called Trilisate, which is like an older brother of Celebrex, etc... She was very cool about the switch, although she told me she wished I had called to tell her that I was going to do it. Oh, well... Can't please them all and I'm only here to please myself and my family right now.

Celebrex is just as likely to contribute to an "event" as other non steroidals, but with one caveat.It acts on primarily one certain type of enzyme, thus leading my rheumo declaring it "less" dangerous. Never the less my cardio didnt want me taking it over 45 days without a serious intermission. Worring can cause funny feelings as your brain dwells on that feeling.Take a deep breath, call your Dr or his nurse and ask.....
Sooo, I go through my day relatively painless. Then I lay down to sleep and I wake up with pain in my mid and upper back, usually across my shoulder blades and below. The pain subsides after twenty minutes or so but it happens every day. I just bought a new bed and it doesn't help. I would appreciate any ideas.
