Celebrex and tramadol

Common Questions and Answers about Celebrex and tramadol

celebrex

Avatar m tn Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
Avatar n tn i have fibromialgia and arthritis and bone spurs in my neck and shingles should i be taking all this and will the tierdness ever go away?
Avatar f tn t take Vicadin either I got total insomnia from it. The Tramadol, I was ok for a while then got shortness of breath and anxiety and then insomnia. I took it for a month and was on the lowest dose once a day and I had withdrawal for 5 days. One day I had severe back pain ( much higher than my normal back pain), slight tremors, overall feeling of sickness, shortness of breath etc. I see no way of getting out of withdrawal. But you are strong you can get off of it.
Avatar f tn I am recovering from major abdominal surgery. I am taking Tramadol, which handles the pain ok. However I am having flair ups of occipital neuralgia headaches (nasty) I got when taking antidepressants. It made sense when I learned that Tramadol uses the same mechanism. Can't take nsaids because of an ulcer. Don't want Celebrex for same reason and leaky heart valves. Sigh. Is there a good alternative I could suggest. We are just talking about a couple of weeks probably.
968560 tn?1307451498 Ive tried steroid injections(some relief for a little while) 800mg motrin, celebrex.660mg celebrex, norco, tramadol. Ive taken torodol,it works but i cant take it more than a couple of days.(you get the pic.) I have been going to my family DR. for 6 years. She konws me well and knows that I dont have any problems with drugs.
Avatar m tn I currently take daily doses of sulfasalizene and naproxen when I begin to feel uncomfortable. Then, as the swelling procedes, I take tramadol for the pain with some success. My questions are: Can the interfurion be used once a month or so to decrease viral loads instead of exclusively as an aggressive treatment? How much will having this disease abbreviate the length of my life (had liver biopsy - it's a "1.5" out of 4?)?
1391401 tn?1280158300 In addition to more Tramodol he gave me Gabapentin and Celebrex. Sorry for the long post. I started taking the Gabapentin at night and it helped right away with the leg pain, enough where I thought I could stop the Tramodol. I only was taking 25mg of Tramodol in the morning and 25mg at night but sometimes a 1/4 of a pill more. I am very sensitive to meds. Long story shorter, I am second full day without Tramodol.
Avatar n tn Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously. IMHO.
Avatar m tn Background regarding what happened: My wife rolled our truck on icy roads this winter and hasn't been the same since. The truck flipped three times and she hung upside down for about one hour while firefighters cut the truck open to get her out. Physically, my wife didn't have a scratch on her, but four days later the pain started, which is to be expected. Most of the pain is gone except for some odd lumps. It has been about 4 months since her accident.
Avatar f tn I do hope it is doable for me as I am currently on Lexapro and Remeron, and the dpa converts to alot of aminos that effect the dopamine/norph in the body. Will ask my Dr abt. this when next visit.
Avatar n tn He has had blood tests, x rays, cortisone shots, and a bone scan. He can not tolerate celebrex, maybe because he is on warfin for a DVT he developed after his second surgery. The doc said today maybe we should get a second opinion but he feels the only fix is another hip replacment, For now my husband is on Tramadol for the pain, hopefully he can still work. Any one who has a similiar experience?
Avatar f tn re active and it causes the pain to get worse so you have to rest and it gets better. I would recommend taking the tylenol and celebrex for a few days and resting up. See if that makes it feel better longer. You should still see the doctor, though. That's just a sugestion on what to do in the mean time before you can get into the doctor. I really hope that you're able to get into the doctor soon and find out what's going on so that you can get the relief you need.
Avatar n tn My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!
Avatar f tn I was having severe joint pain and back pain, so my primary physician put me on Celebrex and Tramadol (as needed) and had me go see a Rheumatologist. She took xrays and diagnosed me with more osteoarthritis and not rheumatoid arthritis, and also the fibromyalgia. Since being on the Celebrex, that has helped my back pain a LOT, and when the pain breaks through occasionally, I take the Tramadol. Just telling you what works for me. Have you seen a Rheumatologist?
Avatar n tn She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
548642 tn?1266179652 my gi didnt even know the dose to celebrex so i doubt he knows if its good to my liver! im telling yall hes stupid and i need to find a new dr asap!
Avatar f tn Hey Hopey. I was just prescribed Celebrex too!! I'm very anxious to see how well it helps b/c i have constant back pain and have tried several meds that haven't given ANY relief. I started the Celebrex today, 600 mgs. And will take 400 mgs/day after today. The dr DID say it can take a few days to start feeling relief from it.
Avatar n tn alternate between tyl and an NSAID take 2 tyl's two hours later take an NSAID it will help with the pain and the swelling what bone did you break... I have worked in hand therapy for 6 years as a therapist..
Avatar f tn t really that affective for me but my insurance made me try practically every NSAID on the market before they would approve Celebrex. They denied Celebrex and even recommended a PPI (ulcer med) to take with the NSAID's because they didn't want to pay for Celebrex. After they denied me 4 or 5 times, they finally approved it. So now I take 400mg of Celebrex a day and it's a lot more effective than any other NSAID i've been on.
Avatar f tn I am allergic to all drugs in the morphiene family and need to be able to take something stronger than aspirin or tylenol. Tramadol and Ultram have very little if any effect and I have been told my the family doctor that Ibuprofen, Aleve and Celebrex are now unhealthy for my eye condition. Any suggestions as to what can be taken for pain that won't interfere with the current eye treatments?
Avatar n tn ) I am still lethargic and achy after one week free and clear of hydrocodone and tramadol. One issue in particular is my hands ache and throb so badly (i take celebrex for arthritis) that just the mere act of typing on my computer is very painful. Please know how grateful I am for not only responses to my questions, but to all of you who are brave enough to spill your painful addiction stories to us so that we don't feel so alone with this.
730763 tn?1234119387 5 mg hydrocodone, 30 mg Flexaril (mostly at night), and Celebrex. Been doing this for about a year and a half. Started feelig worse lately, rather than better. Then I did a bright thing(not), and decided to just quit it all at once over Christmas. Now it is Jan 8, and I feel like my joints are made of sandpaper, Flu like, the diarea hasn't stopped yet, etc etc. NOBODY told me about all of this, I thought I was just a wimp. Glad after Googling today that I know it isn't just me.
1255658 tn?1269359477 But I am not a lost cause he said. He is a pain managment doctor and I am so glad I have him. He gives me celebrex for my athrities, zanafelx for the muscle spasms (I have been on them for years). Coming off all them lortabs and the venlafaxine and gabapentin was extreamly dangerous (also on them for years). I must only take 40 mgs of lortabs (at 5mgs a time) for 1 week. I then go to 30mgs, 20 mgs, 10mgs... Then we work on a new medicine that has no narcotic for the pain.
