I went to the doctor and he said to look out for the shingles rash again and put me on Celebrex. The Celebrex worked for a couple of days and then it got worse. Much much worse. My joints were feeling like they had Charlie Horses inside the bones. My left ankle, knee, hip, and wrist were really cramping. He told me to stop the Celebrex. The pain subsided a little but my arm pain was back. Wednesday I was in the sun all day and then Thursday all hell broke loose. My arm started to REALLY hurt.

I have acid reflux disease and esophagus problems as well. Is it safe to take all this Ibuprofen with the stomach problems I have, or should I talk to my Dr. about possibly prescribing another medication? Would it be safer to go back to Meloxicam or try something like Celebrex? Thanks very much!

I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?

The pain is now worse than before I had the replacement surgery. My knee is always swollen, stiff and hot to touch since surgery. I have taken Celebrex that helped the pain but had to stop because my kidney function BU/CU ratio is now elevated. I cannot take other NSAID's because they elevate my blood pressure. I have a history of chronic Lyme disease. I was treated two years ago with six weeks of Rocephin IV Therapy. Could the Lyme disease have settled in my my new knee post operatively?

The last time I got Remicade, the pains went aways immediately, however they came back after 3 weeks. Hi so I have real bad body pain and health issues that cause it. I have found myself buying pain pills Percocet 5/325 and Vic 10s and take 1 sometimes 2 a day. And have been for a little over a month now. However my Dr is now giving me celebrex and it isn't working and I am scared that I am building up a tolerance to pills. Should I go a week and be miserable and then try the celebrex? My body hurts so bad I can't even move some days and I have 5 kids with the youngest being 2 yrs old.

She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? My mother said that like 20 years ago she had a kidney infection and she was wondering if that could be it, but can a kidney infection induce swelling of one leg only? Please tell me anything you think it might be and what should i do?

I have tried Certo and grape juice, tylenol arthritis, Celebrex, and the off brand of something similar. So far I have found that Celebrex works the best, especially when paired with physical exercise. Lifting light weights, doing push-ups on a wall, even just arm circles and stretching. That pain gone nit left wiyh severe constant pain in middle of urethra, constant burning and strange discomfort just before head of penis. Pain in thhe middle of the urethra has hone after 2 months. Burning pain and discomfort not leaving me alone. I have seen GP , he says he has already given a series of antibiotics and he has nothing to offer. I gave seen urologist, my ultrasound, ct and cystoscopy done along with urine test, bloid test. All negative.

Once your inflammation dissipates and you stop taking Celebrex everything should return to normal, that is, if you didn't have high morning glucose levels previously. IMHO.

I don't think it should be an issue, I took Celebrex and Morphine for an extended time with no issue. Ask your doctor about any concerns though.

I am 22 and have just found out I have kidney disease. I do not want to tell my family, because I know they wouldn't deal with it very well. Is it likely to be easy keeping this from them (I live with them)? I am considering not receiving any treament for now to make extra certain family don't find out.

Jim my brother uses Celebrex and he has a lot of success with it. I myself took Vioxx for 4 year for fibromyalgia and had tremendous success until it was taken off the market. I can't take Celebrex because I think it has sulfa in it and I am allergic. It has been known to have serious side affects however again some people do very well on it. I wish I could try it. What is RZ Rhizotomy? I've had 7 back and cervical surgeries so I am well aware of what that pain is like.

My two daughters take Celebrex as a person would take Advil here or there and do fine with it .. they both cannot take ibuprofen. My son cannot take it since birth as he gets bad reflux from in .. They make custom made ibuprofen suppositories if you really need a NSAID but cannot do it by mouth and they are wonderful .. you need a compounding pharmacy but my co pay was only $8.00!
