Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.
as i said it is an antibiotic so would kill bacteria to some degree but if you tested negative at 6 weeks you dont have it
was just diagnosed last wednesday with the flu, and then yesterday 5 days later was diagnosed with a sinus and ear infection. for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things.
For syphilis, you would expect a sore to occur at a site of infection within 3 weeks of exposure and then for a blood test to be positive by about 4 weeks after the exposure. If there is no sore that develops, the chance that the blood test would be positive is about zero. Further, the antibiotic you took would prevent syphilis. I would not worry about syphilis.
3. what are my odds of catching Syphillis give it is more prevelant in SE Asia and Thailand.
The nodes under my arms, in my armpit get extermly painfull almost bringing me to tears. I have been having tosile issues for the past couple of months, can this cause all of my lymph nodes to be painfull? I went to the ENT who said that my glands were swollen but he does not think it could be from my tonsiles. I went to my primary-who i dont think is the brightest, she could not feel the nodes and said not to worry about it, that it is probably muscular.
Hello, On July 14, 2011 my 80 year old Dad had two polys removed and one hour later ended up in ICU for 3 days and the hospital for one week. 5 days later he had prostrate problems and ended up leaving the hospital with a catheter. He ended up with an infection and after taking proscar and flowmax for 5 months (and using the single use catheter) he went in for an opening of the urethra. He since has had recurrent bladder infections, terrible gas and bloating.
Had a call from my midwife today to let me know the results of my urine test and they show I have a urinary tract infection (UTI). I've had no symptoms but she said I need some antibiotics. Has this happened to anyone else, should I be worried?

If yu think it's a urinary infection try drinking cranberry juice until you can see your doctor. That's what they told my sister to do to treat hers and it worked.
I've had a sore throat for about 3 weeks now. I originally went to the doctor with overall feeling of malaise, headache, fever, slight sore throat and abdominal pain. I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared.
I've been fighting a battle of diarrhea for the past four days with no end in sight.
Yesterday I went to the hospital because I began to experience sever dehydration.
I was also worried because three weeks prior to experiencing this diarrhea I had laparoscopic surgery to repair a very large hiadial hernia.

i have been constantly suffering with urinary infection, pain on the lower side of my left abdomen, feel my tummy getting puffed up and pain unbearable. Want to often pass urine. what could be the reason? i have done an ult and they say that the urine is not flowing completely out of my bladder, some is still standing in the bladder. She has already increased her cranberry juice and water intake to help slow the spread of the infection, but I was wondering what antibiotic (of either amoxicillin 250mg or ciproxin 500mg) might a doctor hypothetically prescribe if she were to go see one? In what dose and for what duration might it be prescribed for if the infection was caught early and is considered mild and isolated in the lower urinary tract for the time being? You may not even have to bring your dog in for an exam if the urine is positive for a simple urinary tract infection (an infection without crystals). The vet can simply give appropriate antibiotics.
If your dog has crystals in his urine, the crystals would need to be identified and treatment instituted. Crystals can be dangerous in male dogs because if they become large enough they can become lodged in the urethra and cause blockage (even in dogs, though more common in male cats).
I’m 20 years old. I have a urinary tract infection(coliform). A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.
Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin?
Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days?
Should I keep getting Tamsulosin for 10 days or stop?
