I took a 10 panel std test prior to the test I was taking Cefdinir although I stopped taking it 5 days before testing would the cefdinir affect the results which were negative.
Now have a possible sinus infection and doctor gave me Cefdinir. Two days into the medication, my neuropathy symptoms have increased. The burning, needle like sensations and numbness. I do not want to go through that nightmare again. So I stopped taking the antibiotic and am waiting to hear from my doctor for an alternative drug. Is this considered an allergic reaction or a severe symptom. Anyway to know which antibiotics I can use and not have this reaction.
m doing. the supplements enhance the effectiveness of the antibiotics and the 2nd antibiotic (cefdinir) is to go after the lyme. we know there is nothing here to treat the cyst form of lyme but the Dr. didn't want to put me on any more medicines at this time.
Hi Lucy - I'm not able to comment on the dosage question, but I hope can offer you some comfort from my own story. When pregnant with my first child, at about six weeks my TSH was 12.6. My doctor adjusted my medication several times during pregnancy to where it was controlled around .4, but we didn't achieve this level until well into the second trimester. My son is now two and is an active, healthy, smart toddler.
s my sinus..I went to the dr the other day and I told him bout what was going on and he gave me cefdinir 300mg capsule and I been on them for 3 days and tonight I'm hurting really badly I have never been in so much pain and when I cough it hurts..does anyone know what this could be??
for the last couple of days i have had really bad vertigo wether I am standing or sitting, feels kinda like I am drunk all day long, and really spiking my anxiety. I was put on cefdinir but have not even been on it a full 24 hours yet. I was wondering two things. is the vertigo/dizziness normal with these infections and how long until I can expect some relief from this medication?
I took an antibiotic called cefdinir for about a week and I think augmentin for like a day?

I was not tested again for strep but was given cefdinir. I realize I am only day 3 but my throat hurts worse than it did to begin with. I'm having trouble swallowing and have a consistent stabbing pain in my throat. I'm curious if anyone else has had similar symptoms or knows if this could be a continuation of strep or something else.
I just had first root canal #14 through dental crown. Endodonist said there was pus -- infection. I have had allergic reaction to Levaquin and AzitheraI and have had side effects diarrhea and lightheaded from Cefdinir and Cephalexin so he prescribed Cipro 500mg. Said he doesn't usually prescribe but given that it have taken Cipro 250mg in the past (or urinary tract infection with no side effects. Is Cipro as effective as other antibiotics for dental infection?
I called my doc and she said she will increase my dosage but I just went through a zillion viral and bacterial infections and I was scared to make a shift now (lest I fall sick again - given that I have an active toddler I cannot afford bed rest) . I let my gyn know that I would like to continue the pills and finish my third month before a dosage change. I am scheduling a visit with my gyn this week and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this with la seasonique.
I'm a female and 5 days after giving oral sex to a male I came down with a sore throat and puss pockets went to dr and was put on z pack. That didn't clear it so I was put on cefdinir pus pockets are gone and my throat is no longer sore, however I have whitish grey flat patches in my throat on both sides just behind my back teeth. 2nd dr I went to tested me and I tested positive for yeast she gave me Nystatin for 10 days and patches are still there.
whoops typo Cefdinir or Omaicef also on Minocycline and nystatin. Thanks I hadn't heard about the lemon or baking soda in epsom salt bath.
Is it OK to give a toddler benedryl at night to help with the constant post nasal drip if he has reactive airway disease? Does this restrict the cough and make it worse? He had a very bad reaction to singular...I feel terrible for him, he is unable to sleep with he gets this drip...
I had three rounds of Rochephin in each hip for three days . a Z pack and then started Cefdinir on sunday .SO my question if I am puking and coughing up lots of mucus and ribs on left side still sore does this mean my pneumonia is trying to clear up?
I suffered of anal itching for a week after taking an the antibiotic Cefdinir. I was scared of it being warts or hemorrhoids. It went away after taking Activia yogurt and probiotics for a few days.
- Was getting chronic ear infections so tubes were put in December 2020. Still had a cough, Cefdinir antibiotic was prescribed and cough went away.
- 4 weeks later cough is back. Mainly has coughing fits while lying down and ranges from 10 minutes – 1 hr. Affects sleep.
It seems like this cough has a cycle, will only go away for a short period time with an antibiotic (which I don’t want to keep giving her if I don’t have to), but will come back just weeks later.
I'm 28 weeks and had this problem in my last pregnancy around the same trimester. I was told I'm anaemic so my doc doubled the iron dosage last time. This time I didn't do anything about it so far. I'm restless through out the night. I'm thinking on taking a warm bath before going to bed. Hope my toddler allows me to do that.
With first pregnancy, had to increase dosage to keep TSH levels within range, as is expected in pregnancy. Same with this pregnancy, started at 137 mcg, up to 150 mcg, and then increased again to 175 mcg when recent TSH came back at 7.76. I'm with different OBGYN this time around who wants me to go for non stress tests TWICE a week for baby. When I asked the reasoning behind it, no real answer was given.
s hospital where they treated him for pneumonia for 2 days then sent home to take Cefdinir for 12 days. Once the 12 days were over he once again started with the high fever and his cough never left. His doctor did x-rays once again and put him back on Cefdinir for 10 days. He ended up going back to Children's E.R. where they said he had decreased air movement in his lower left lobe and put him on Amox-Clav ES for 14 days. He is still running fever with a wet cough.
