Avatar n tn This is the third question you have asked about the same problem. 1. besides thyroid eye disease (TED) and space occupying tumors the next most common problem would be orbital inflammatory 'pseudo-tumor' 2. No the eye muscles don't get inflammed without a cause. 3. No the eye only gets larger in infants and children. In adults the sclera is rigid and won't enlarge like the soft, rubber like sclera of youth.
Avatar m tn If all brain related causes (transient ischemic attack, disorders of hypothalamus, dementia and multiple sclerosis, head injury etc) are ruled out then Vit B12 deficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorders (by sleep studies), depression, use of certain drugs, and certain types of seizures (where memory loss is the predominant symptom) should be investigated for as the cause of memory loss.

The ones with blind spots are usually only there 1 to 3 minutes. I have been to 2 neurologist and they can't seem to come to a decision. First one did a EEG and said I had a focal over left and right temporal lobe with the left being the worst, MRI was normal.

1230197 tn?1365007794 In view of your symptoms, and prior thyroid levels I think I would push for an earlier appointment, since T3 meds reach full effect on blood levels in less than a week and the T4 portion of meds will be over 90 % of final blood levels in 4 weeks. If you decide to push for earlier appt., emphasize the symptoms and that the med will be essentially fully reflected in your blood levels by now. What has been done to address the low Vitamin D, and B12?
Avatar m tn I will be told something and forget most of the details of it with in seconds. I also when talking or typing will forget words. I honestly had to read over this post a couple of times to add in a few words. I would forget words such as....Every *** has to go. I would forget to type "one". I do not know if the two symptoms are connected in any way.

Avatar m tn Therefore, while it is good to identify the sources of anger, and resolve it by forgiving yourself and/or others, you can also find ways to release that part of you. Boxing works, go in a gym and put on the gloves and work over one of those bags in there. And when you lift weights, sometimes concentrate on releasing pent-up emotion when you push. I do agree with the above poster, however, the past is the past. ALL of us have a past. It's relative to the person.
1260255 tn?1288654564 I've read people mentioning memory problems, but have not seen one type of memory problem discussed. Do any of you have problems where your memory does not store information? There are numerous occasions when I have absolutely no recall of conversations. This happened several weeks ago when my son called me at work. He told me that the grill was corroded at the bottom. I have no recall of this whatsoever, but his girlfriend was sitting next to him and vouches for him.
Avatar f tn As a child, I was diagnosed with ADD and depression, but I thought they went away. Lately, I have been having problems remembering things, lately being a few years. I was in a bad car accident and that was when it came to my attention. I'm not sure if I have always had this problem, but I know I have had some hard blows to the head in my life. My mind is all mixed up all the time. My thoughts are jumping from thing to the next and I end up forgetting what I was thinking just a second ago.
Avatar n tn A patient with mild hearing impairment may have problems understanding speech, especially if there is a lot of noise around, while those with moderate deafness may need a hearing aid. Some people are severely deaf and depend on lip-reading when communicating with others. People who are profoundly deaf can hear nothing at all. In order to communicate spontaneously and rapidly with people, they are totally reliant on lip-reading and/or sign language.
Avatar m tn Have you been diagnosed with anxiety? If so, this is not an uncommon symptom. Many of us go through the memory problems because of anxiety. Are you taking any meds? Sorry for all the questions. The more we know the better we can help.
Avatar n tn One is if you have hypothyroid or Hashimoto's disease, which both mean your thyroid gland is not producing enough hormone, and thus you can get that collection of problems. So, visiting an endocrinologist and getting your thyroid tested is how to find out if it's your thyroid doing all this to you. Two is if you are taking some sort of medication that is giving you these as side effects, so you would review any drug you're on and see if you need to have it changed.
Avatar f tn I have FM for over 12 years now, I've read numerous books, I belong to the National Fibromyalgia Network, The Fibromyalgia Association, and follow the latest research on many aspects of FM. These include, medical and pharmaceutical research. There is NO evidence that people with FM have brains that age faster. There is a neurological aspect to FM that can affect our brains. Our neurotransmitters may not be firing right to put it simply.

Avatar f tn I have the exact problem. I have ADHD. I dont remember a lot before the age of 13, from then I had to mostly relearn everything I had learned in my younger years. Now I find it hard to remember anything I read, listen to, or try and study. I feel lost and confused since I am only 19 with this type of problem.
Avatar m tn I've seen a lot of discussion on topic of phimosis/tight foreskin in those who have had all their lives. But in my case it is something I have developed recently. So here is the story... I am in my mid 20's, about 2 weeks ago I noticed little patches of white dry skin on the inside of my foreskin, I didn't pay much attention at that time. Few days later I noticed difficulty in retracting the foreskin while penis was erected.
