Avatar f tn Can you eat seeds? That would allow you to eat wild rice and buckwheat, for two. They are seeds, in the fruit family, not grains, and are quite low in sugars. And what about fish? The essential fatty acids in wild caught fish would probably help. As for nutritional help in California, that's the center of nutritional help. Probably a million of them. Every actor and actress there has a nutritionist, and it's the center of holistic medicine in the US. Sounds tough.
Avatar m tn However, I just noticed in this months issue of runners world some great low fat recipes that are unusually high in carbs. For example, on page 48, they list the breakfast of champions, 1 cup oatmeal topped with 1 Tbsp honey, 2 Tbsp dried cherries, 2 Tbsp walnut haves, 8 oz of plain kefir, and 1 medium banana. This supplies 600 calories and 90G of carbohydrate. No bad for breakfast. (But watch your calories if you aren't burning that many).

When we allow him in the backyard, he eats everything in sight, grass, dirt, bugs, bark, mulch, feces, acorns, etc..Sometimes when he is inside he starts to lick the carpet and tile floors, not franticaly but like he is eating something or cleaning the floor; sometimes he will just lay down and lick the carpet while laying there. My issue is when I eat a load of carbs, it hits up to 3 days later and I can't hardly get out of bed and am weak most of the day. Everything I read about Carb Intolerance says that fatigue usually hits within the first few hours. Has anyone else experienced this? Carb crash, a day or days after the carbs are eaten?

Now what I mean is that I am unable to remember any study material in college such as large paragraphs, even after revision. I can only remember one or tweo lines. This was not always the case because in chilhood my memory was preety good since I remembereed most of the reading that I did, but not the same in college. I am currently doing HR and it demands that you have a good memory.
Avatar f tn I generally consume odwalla/naked drinks every morning 5/7 days of the week, along with an odwalla or cliff bar. I will sometimes consume another granola bar later in the night. I feel like I'm consuming to much sugar, in short. Does anyone have thoughts on this ? I'm a busy student, so i just grab things and go. I'm trying to grab healthier things, but the amount of sugar in this stuff is crazy.
Avatar f tn Can eat very few foods, some protien with no seasoning, apples and little else and in very small amounts. Actually am afraid to try other foods because when I do it causes my sfn to flare up all over my body and it takes a few days to get back to my "normal" level of pain. Am seeing a neurologist and gastroenterologist, but no answer yet. Was told in Feb. by neurologist that it should go away in six months; this week he said it was too early to tell. So that's discouraging.
Avatar n tn I think you're making a common mistake in thinking about food, which is that protein is good and carbs are bad. This isn't at all true -- the majority of your diet should be carbs. Vegetables, for example, the core of a healthy diet, are carbs, whereas beef is very high in fat on purpose and hard to digest despite being high in protein and so is never weight-loss food.
Avatar f tn I'll be 22 weeks tomorrow. Smells were horrible in the beginning but they've gotten better (: and I thankfully didn't really have bad morning sickness. Only got sick 3-4 times.

Avatar m tn Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
