bystolic

Avatar n tn Anyone have any insight as to why he might have done that? Particularly since the 10mg Bystolic tablets seemed to be the “sweet spot” in terms of tolerability. And the Bystolic worked very well for my BP. I am a 41 year old male.
3086858 tn?1340852861 I was put on Bystolic 10mg for the tachycardia, which I take daily. I was also put on an aspirin regimen, for the blood clotting. My doctor gave me two breathing treatments due to my severe wheezing at my appt. in which he discovered my asthma. He also had me on an Advair diskus for one week and an inhaler. I am still on a Levalbuterol oral inhaler. I was also getting facial hives, but they did not itch, I did not mention that to my doctor and from my reading I wonder if I should have.
Avatar n tn I started taking bystolic about six weeks ago at 10mg, It`s doing a good job of keeping my BP down. I have not noticed any differences in my heart rythyms , Except my heart rate has gone up. I do not feel as bad on Bystolic as metoprolo, I seem to have more dizzyness on Bystolic. I do get some chest discomfort while on Bystolic that the metoprolo kept at bay.
Avatar n tn I started taking bystolic 10mg (samples) for constant irregular heartbeat. Yes it definitely cured that but gave me the same muscle fatigue in my legs that you mention, they felt like they weighed a ton! Was also on some lisinopril for HBP. Because the stuff worked on my heart it was worth it to me to try to get used to it or work with the dosing with my doctor. After several different trials, I am now taking 5 mg bystolic and no lisinopril and my body seems to have adjusted.
Avatar n tn What could be causing this? Could it be the bystolic? My former doc put me on bystolic because it is not suppose to caused ED issues. Could it be psychological reasons i'm having ED? A combination of both psychological reasons and the Bystolic? It is hard for me to imagine that my ED would be due to low testosterone or some physiological cause. I am in excellent shape and after all I am young (27). I get health insurance through my new employer February 1st. of this year.
343006 tn?1314446471 a cardio doctor recent, put me on 10mg of bystolic and 120mg verapamil daily - for 3 days I was fine-after that became sick throwing up and couldnt sleep at night. doc then said to cutt down to 5mg bystolic and 60mg verap on this doseage after 3 weeks of going threw hell. I got sort of use to it - now though doc changed me to this dose 2.5 mg bystolic & 60mg verap a.m time daily - and 2.5 mg bystolic at night time - ugg !! gets the b.p down ok .
Avatar n tn Wow, you could be describing my life. I try to get everything done by 2-3, because after that I'm exhausted and have brain fog. The 20mg of Bystolic has my BP under control at last, but at quite a cost. And if I weren't so effing tired, I'd exercise more. It's hard to accept the weight gain (one was 5 lbs in a month when they increased the B. from 10 mg to 20mg) when you've never looked like this and were always a bundle of energy.
Avatar m tn I would like to know if an increase in my Bystolic and lisinopril will cause and increase in weight loss. My Cardiologist increased my byistolic too 10mg., and my lisinopril to 40mg. on the 1st of Febuary 2010, and I have lost a total of 11 pounds since being on them, my weight stayed steady prevous to that time.
Avatar m tn Hello! I took Bystolic 15 months ago for 1 week. It made me nauseas in 5 hours after first pill. At 14 hours after first pill the diarrhea started. Doctor insisted I stay on it. At 3 days I was so tired I didnot want to move, but had to, I had Diarrhea & Nauseasness. Constantly going to the bathroom for one reason or the other. Stopped after 1 week against my doctors orders. Nausea and tiredness is gone. I still have Diarrhea and it's been 15 months.
Avatar f tn I've been on bystolic for about a month and a half. I've had some dizziness and a little fatigue. No problems sleeping or anything like that, though. I was previously on metoprolol and had awful nightmares, way worse dizziness and light headedness, heavy leg sensations, etc. Bystolic has been way better for me. Best of luck to you!
214864 tn?1229715239 I have been taking 20 mg of Coreg CR (continuous release) and have gained a lot of weight in a short period of time. I am considering talking to my cardio and trying a switch to Bystolic. Both are the latest generation of beta blockers, and do more than the older beta blockers. Another thing that would help me is to know if Bystolic drains the energy from you like most beta blockers because of what they do.
Avatar f tn My doc LOVES Bystolic. Both are Selective Betablockers and they say Bystolic has little or no side effect. I would give it a try. I have not used either but have heard very good things about it.
Avatar m tn My Cadiologist Recently prescribed Bystolic 5 Mg tablets I per day . I have since begun having dizzy spells Can they be a side effect from the Bystolic?
Avatar m tn •Have a slow heartbeat or your heart skips beats (irregular heartbeat) I'm guessing that my doctor thinks my heart palpitations are not considered an irregular heartbeat? I'll ask him but I found this a little scary.
Avatar m tn t seem to do it as consistently, but if my heart rate gets really slow or if I increase the dose of bystolic (try to take 10mg vs 5), they start back up again. The only thing I can figure is when your heart rate slows it makes it more likely to get ectopic beats. It's been happening to me for 8 years now and I'm still here. So try not to focus too much on the skips, the more you do, the worse they get.
Avatar f tn Was switched to Bystolic, started at 5mg, then 10mg. At 10mg I could no longer feel the PACs or PVCs, but again was unable to breath. Turns out I am alergic to Beta-Blockers, but the Bystolic may help you with your symptoms. It is very irritating to me to be told that I just have to learn to live with them. I'd like to give them to the person telling me that and see how well they learn to live with them.
Avatar f tn My doctor recently switched me to Bystolic - and I was given "samples" for a month but no instruction sheet or counter-indications as far as drug interaction. Would there be any problem with the above that I am taking and this drug? Also, I just lost (and want to continue to lose weight) 16 pounds on a diet program and don't want to regain that weight! Does Bystolic cause weight gain?
Avatar m tn s office were done by a human. During my visit with my Doctor, he changed my BP medicine from 50MG of Atenolol to 5MG of Bystolic. Since a few days after the change, I often feel very flushed in the face, forgetful, confusion, seem to lose my train of thought more frequently, change in bowel movement.......With all that said, I guess my major question is are these some of the side effects when taking Bystolic? Should I go back to my Doctor and request he put me back on Atenolol?
Avatar m tn m on cause these pains?
Avatar m tn Hey guys, whenever I read about acebutolol in treating pvcs and bystolic, I hear mainly positive things. Is anyone on here on these blockers !!, if so whats your experience. I aked my cardio Dr. about Acebutolol, he said its something he wouldnt usualy prescribe for pvcs because it doesn't slow down the heart and the common belief is a slower heart induced by a beta blocker is supposed to reduce pvcs,, but people claim that this stuff works.
Avatar n tn I am a 63 female taking 10 mg Bystolic once in the evening. I have been taking it for a year now and lately have been feeling light headed and slightly dizzy in the mornings when I wake up and then throughout the day. Is this a side effect of this drug? It was prescribed mainly for the rapid heart beats.
Avatar n tn Bystolic is a blood pressure drug. I have been on Bystolic for 2 yrs and have never had a problem with sweating. It can be a heart related problem.
Avatar m tn I started taking Bystolic and the headaches are reduced to 2-3 times a month. I am fairly certain, however, that the Bystolic has caused joint and muscle pain especially in my knees. Is anyone else taking Bystolic experiencing this same side effect?
343006 tn?1314446471 I am on verapamil daily 160mg and night 40mg along with furosemide 10mg per day - and bystolic 2.5 mg daily- my cardio doctor told me to take between 40mg verp and 80mg per night depending on b.p readings before bedtime -and clondine at 1/2 tab per night. very small dose taken 1.5 or so the mix of verp and clon worked for about 4 nights but then failed - I now wake up suddenly most nights with internal shakes and b.p high !
Avatar m tn Is there a low cost generic medication that has a low cost and can be paid for out-of-pocket without causing much financial stress. I take several medications from the generic class and while they are covered (in part) by my insurance the cost is small enough it wouldn't be a big problem if I didn't have insurance help.
4703993 tn?1379768388 For my heart we have tried Atenolol 12.5 (really small dose, but even with 10mg of Midodrene 3x a day my blood pressure would drop too low and the side effects were unbearable) .. so he concluded that I have a sensitivity to beta blockers.
