I have been suffering with a very swollen right leg and excruciating pain in the same leg . My doctor sent me for an xray on my hip which showed up that i had a surgical clip inside. I had surgery 14 years for appendix so could that be why the clip is there .

my Smitty(JRT) has broken a front toe nail and the only thingholding it on is the flesh nside the nail. the break is very close to the base of the nail. it is not bleeding and the nail is flopping around. he licks it a lot and keeps it clean. this day two since the break. should I wait for it to fall off? and how long will that take? or should I clip the soft tissue to remove it myself then medicate the stub?

I was in a half cast, basically on the back of my leg and below the foot for a touch over a week, so I was unable to move my ankle and leg and was on crutches. Then 2 days ago I went to the outpatients department and the doc took the cast off me and told me to start walking on it with the aid of crutches as it isn't the weight bearing bone. He said that the bone will heal by itself without the cast and even with me putting a bit of pressure on it.

Has anyone broken their pelvis during pregnancy? I broke mine in a car accident years ago and never had any problems with my first baby. This baby dropped at 28wks and my dr says he is almost certain this baby has broken it again. I'm scheduled for csection next week, which is a huge relief with the pain, but he said it could take 6-12wks to heal. Was wondering what other peoples experience was? Did it get better after delivery?

I have had breast cancer now for the 2nd time. In the other brest. They did a biopsy & placed a clip. Had surgury & removed the cancer but the mammogram showed the clip still there. Please tell me who manufactures these clips & why it was not removed during surgery.
