Yep, I have to do the blood sugar test 4 times a day and write it down which I don't understand why is it that my blood sugar is so high if when I do it the results are normal, I'm eating less, I lost weight, so I don't understand why, so I'm gonna talk to my dr on monday tp see what he says about it
how does this change your pregnancy if you have it as far as how they monitor the baby and such
I think my fear of potential diabetic complications is strong enough that it overrides any discomfort or inconvenience caused by testing my blood sugar. I actually test around 10 times a day and I don't mind it at all. The finger pricking really doesn't hurt barely at all since I'm so used to it, so that's a non issue, and it takes so quick to do that it isn't that much trouble. Definitely worth it to avoid complications. Basically, I use fear as a motivator.
I have a cousin whose blood sugar levels often rise over 300s. This has been over a couple of years now. Carbs always turn into sugar, which is what causes you to have high blood sugar. Everything has carbs in it, so you basically have to cut back on EVERYTHING. my blood sugar levels would not go down, no matter what I did or how little I would eat, so my diabetes doctor has me using insulin to control my blood sugar levels. Your baby will be fine. The doctors should start monitoring you closer, to make sure your levels stay as low as possible.

A small Franklin company says it is developing a novel device that could potentially let diabetics continuously monitor their blood-sugar levels — without having to draw blood.
Echo Therapeutics Inc. is expected to say today the device passed one of its first key tests, a pilot study with two dozen patients in the intensive-care unit at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

There was this health stand for some festival and there you could check the amount of sugar there is in your blood anyway i did with some friends some went first but im not quite sure who used it last ...
