Avatar f tn Recently I was having pain, swelling and itchiness in vagina. My doctor told me I had a bladder infection. Antibiotics (Cipro) worked for a while, but the pain came back and actually got worse. With sharp pain in pelvis, hip and lower back. This time I was put on different antibiotics - Apo-Sulfatrim but I still am having strange pain in pelvis and my urine seems to have little bits of transparent debris in it (Which I had when I had my bladder infections).

Avatar n tn I just got over a bladder infection last week. I've had them before no big deal but for some reason during this pregnancy it made me miserable. So the wonderful ladies of this site gave me many suggestions. I did take the Macrobid my doc.prescribed and someone on this site said to take AZO its an over the counter pill that is supposed to help w/ the pain and urination discomfort. I check it out w/ my doc and she said it was safe to take (makes your pee bright orange!) and I feel great now.
285848 tn?1219095913 I am no expert, but i did use to suffer from re-occurent bladder infection in the past, and whenever I used to get it, doctors asked me to abstain from sex. The reason being that if I infected my partner and then got a course of medication, I would be gettting it again once I had sex with that person. Sometimes they even perscribed couple treatment, to make sure we wouldn't pass it back to eachother. Cranberry juice used to help me ease the pain and recover faster.
Avatar f tn He said most likely its a bladder infection or a kidney stone (which I haven't had any back pain or cramps) He called in some medicine for me. I'm 10 Weeks and 3 days. Avatar n tn I have no symptoms of any kind of infection. (pain, discomfort, etc) Is is possible for this to still be a bladder infection? I have started drinking more liquids, in case the cloudiness was caused by dehydration, and so in the past few days I have had more frequent urination. I know frequent urination is also a sign of a UTI, but there is no pain associated with it. If this is an infection, what harms can this do to the baby and what are the treatments for it? I have a regular dr.
Avatar n tn I was on antibiotics for a week for a bladder infection and i finished my last pill yesterday. While i was taking the pill my symptoms went away and everything was fine. Then i started itching after i urinated which i thought was due to a very mild yeast infection. So i took Diflucan yesterday as well. Then yesterday i noticed a slight ache/pain after i urinated similar to the one i had previously but not as bad. Does that mean that it is coming back?
Avatar n tn Does anyone have or had a bladder infection (UTI) during pregnancy? What did u do to get rid of it without meds? Doctor refused to give meds and I'm glad she didn't.
Avatar f tn This is the second time I've had a bladder infection in two months. The first time was when I was in the hospital. No catheter was used. They sent me home with a script for Septra and it cleared up with in 5 days. This time I'm on day 7 and I'm still having some pain and urgency. No burning during urination, just the pain and the need to urinate a lot. I'm really getting concerned. My Dr said to stay on the meds for 7 days and if I still had symptoms to see my Gynecologist.
6470732 tn?1439559892 He asked if I had any placenta issues or contractions and I said no. He reassured me it was most likely coming from my bladder or urethra and not my vaginal opening and sure enough, later that night I has spots of blood specifically from, well, my pee hole. He said to come in Monday unless something indicating labor or heavy bleeding happened. I have an appointment today at 2:30. It's gotten so much worse. I can barely stand up and walking is torture.

Avatar n tn i am 64 yr old woman having some darkish leakage and a little greenish pus -no pain
Avatar f tn However this could also be due to chronic bladder infection that gets aggravated in the premenstrual phase. Diagnosis of an ovarian cyst too cannot be ruled out. However it is difficult to diagnose without examining. You may also need to take some blood tests X-rays, ultrasounds, etc to reach a diagnosis. So please consult your doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Bladder pain is often caused by urinary tract infection, cystitis, kidney stones, urethral stricture, and bladder infection etc.A complete evaluation is necessary for determining the correct cause of your symptoms. Drink plenty of water every day. You need to get investigated to rule out urinary tract infection and above mentioned possibilities. A complete history, clinical examination and work up are important for diagnosing your problem.

4801019 tn?1359349012 Hello, my name is Chris & I'm a healthy 29yr. old male dealing with what I believe is a Bladder Infection. So this all started off like four months ago. I was peeing a lot, burning when I peed, no discharge, lower back pain, lower abdomen pain & also a itch inside the penis. My family doctor did a urine sample on me & he said the sample came back with a bit of an infection, so he gave me a antibiotic but I can't remember the name, & said to take it for five days.

Avatar n tn After a dozen trips to emergency rooms, urologists, small local clinics, over a period of 10 months, they all determined that I had no bladder infection when in fact I did!! At the advice of a retired doctor, I begged my urologist to perform a "culture" on my urine sample, and behold, a double bladder infection! Such terrible pain for 10 months was finally relieved.
