Lumigan is a glaucoma medication that is put directly on the eye. Latisse is the same medication, different packaging for eyelash growth and it is painted on the eyelashes with a brush.
I suppose the study that was completed 12/31/09 for growing eyelashes was only done on upper lid eyelashes.
Then that's all that the FDA will allow them to say.

Patients using these products concomitantly should be closely monitored for changes to their intraocular pressure.
It doesn’t grow but 1/4 inch a month. I use a variety of hair growth oils every other day, and no matter what I do, I can’t seem to get that tingly sensation in my scalp that hundreds of reviewers of these oils are making claims of getting; along with claims of extreme hair growth. Does this mean I am not getting enough blood circulation to my scalp or something? Also, my hair at the ends is real thin. So tell me, why do I never have a tingly scalp, no matter what I put on it?

These symptoms can be due to telogen effluvium. See the growth cycle of hair is in two phases, anagen or growth phase and telogen or resting phase. During telogen, the resting hair remains in the follicle until it is pushed out by growth of a new anagen hair. In telogen effluvium, a large number of hair enter telogen at one time. When they start growing they do it together and so they will take some time to grow back.
this is a hispanic child...she has hair growth all over her body....excessive body hair growth has always been in our family...& she had a head full of curly thick smooth beautiful dark hair...this is why it took us so long to realize she was losing hair. Because her hair is soo thick it's still not noticable but at the rate it's dropping my fear is she will be bald within the next couple of months if it doesn't stop falling out.

firstly I have Traction alopecia and Im only 19,Im a sikh and I have cut and shaved bald my hair 2 weeks back,my back scalp hair is growing,but my front scalp the hair is growing at a very slow rate, I look at the mirror and realized that hair is growing but It is not too much,just want to know how can If my hair will grow back like how my back hair is.
s usually a build-up of fibers (not that noticeable if you look at it, but I can definitely feel a bump of toppik when I touch that spot)- will this inhibit hair growth? I read that hair growth is controlled from inside, not above, but how can the hair grow up if there are these clumped up fibers on top?
All my life I've been told that I have thick hair. I'm 21, Asian, male; for the past few years I've been noticing that I have thinner hair on the right side of my scalp. When I run my hand gently through my hair I notice that hair falls out WAY easier than the left side of my head. I'm not shedding clumps of hair, it's just my right side of the scalp sheds more in comparison to the left. Is this something normal?

i am 22 years old i starting loseing my hair almost 2 years ago they diagnosed me as Alepicha i saw a dermatologist was getting injections for hair growth as well as Bio-laser it seemed to make things worse now my eyelashes and eyebrows are gone as well none of my hair will grow back im really scared because the doctors can't figure out whats going on i got a specialts opinon and 3 other doctors they dont think its alepicha my question is does anyone have a opinon for possibilites ?
also, a hairdresser I had previously gone to about 24 years ago, questioned the fact that my hair was past shoulder length at the time but it went up on the bottom making about a 2 to 3 inch deficit along the bottom like a concave curve, and she thought I had snagged my hair on something. So, after monitoring the growth after a few months, what we have found is the normal or rest of my hair is now 3+inches longer than this patch.

Most people normally shed 50 to 100 hairs a day and this amount of hair loss should not cause noticeable thinning of the scalp hair. Hair thinning and loss could be due to increased rate of shedding compared to the rate of regrowth. This could be due to: hormonal changes, poor nutrition, diseases, certain medications, infections and stress.
I'm losing hair too. Not in clumps but I clog the drain once a week from my hair loss. And all my friends said their hair was so full and healthy during pregnancy and after lost some. I get a ball of hair during evey wash and its not normal for me also my scalp itches like crazy and I don't have bugs lol o had my husband check lol!
Doctor, do you have any update on TE cases and hair texture to change? My hair changed its texture dramatically over all the scalp including sides and back. And now I'm shedding a lot for 5 months but now it's slowing. I've had no recession in my hairline and no bald spots until this moment, but I'm scared how fast my hair is shedding in a diffuse way.

Coconut oil and vitamin E are good for your hair and skin and I don't know of any adverse effects, since they are both used in many shampoos and hair care products.
I'd strongly recommend that you do more research and/or talk to your doctor or dermatologist before mixing your own products...
Absolutely love Nioxin. I have thin hair. Not loosing it though. But I use it three times a week. I did have a friend who used this when her hair started falling out. She had to wax her face alot because extra facial hair growth because of nioxin just try to keep it away from your face..
Hi everyone! I have had a small growth on my scalp for years, it never bothered me too much but I always wondered what caused it. It's not noticeable because my hair covers it, it's never itched and I can brush over it. I do have to be careful where I part my hair though and I'm sure it's getting bigger. I asked my GP about it and he said it is a wart, and I could get it taken off easily but it would leave a small bald patch so I may be better off to leave it alone.
I have had the same problem!! After a couple years of itchy scalp I had a big bout of hair loss it's didn't have patches but thinned out a LOT, then it stopped, I switched back to Pantene because it gave it more support and started biotin for hair growth
... now I am having all over itchy skin!! Going crazy btw... look into over growth of yeast!! Try a good digestive cleanse and see a naturopath Dr... my boss swears by the "eat right for your blood type" diet.. check it out!!
However, it should at least help to stop your scalp itching, and you may even experience an increase in hair growth? You can buy it in Wal-Mart and many other stores. Also, in Canada you can purchase a stronger version without a prescription which is not sold in the U.S.
