My doc perscribed Biaxin xl 2x 500 and prednisone 50mg 4 days if needed. Last night I was so bad I took the pred at 8pm. This morning I took the biaxin at 6am.
It's been about 8 hours and my heart has sped up from about 70 to 85-90 for about an hour and won't come down.
I'm afraid to take my next dose of prednisone but I've been on short bursts before with no issue.
Is a resting heart rate around 90 something to be worried about?
Well this is what's weird about it: The lesions come and go. The drug is Biaxin XL. I've taken plain Biaxin before at least twice, but not this XL formulation. I've been wondering if maybe I'm allergic to some other part of the pill that's not the drug.
allmy dr told me was that certin quinolones do give false positives. my med was biaxin xl 500mg. but that was all he would tell me. he seemed to be really busy. now i need to find out if that is one of the 13 quinolones. if you can assist me further please do so. or advize me where to search.

worse yesterday i noticed a small white patch on my tonsils which went away but reappeared on the back of my throat today; in the crevice that conects my nasal passage to my mouth:
what are the chances its hiv i know oral thrush is pretty unique as far as symptoms go: if it was an infection why didnt the antibiotics clear it up
i tested negative a few days shy of the 'week mark
the worst part is that i recently started a study abroad program in paris and this is ruining my trip.
Spirolact, (diurectic); Topral XL; I just ran out of my prescription for Campral, (to re-fill or not?); some kind of antihistemine..can't recall the name, a topical ointment for Rosecea....just got prescribed ZOCOR for cholesterol (haven't picked up yet...). The thing is, I'd like to have beer or wine, if I could... Oh I don't know. I have a hx of depression and alcoholism, too. I don't want to wake up yellow from jaundice one day. How dangerous is mixing all this?
I was taking Biaxin 500mg twice a day for a week and then took the rpr two days later. could this affect the results in any way?
I currently take 300 mg of Wellbutrin XL and now .25 of abilify. These successfully treat my depression and allow me to live a normal life. I am a moderate drinker, but consider myself an alcoholic and easily become intoxicated and do not have the ability at times to stop at one or two glasses of wine.
I want to stop drinking alcohol to make my life even better and can't do it alone. So my md prescribed .5 mg klonipin. Because it makes me sleepy, I have cut the med in half.
I was on avalide, toprol xl, procardia xl along with the norpace and had to take potassium because it would go too low for the norpace. I have not been able to take avalide since the episode and am now on Avapro which works bettermost of the time than using avalide.
None of this makes sense to me or to my doctors since I should be back where this all began the middle of March when I took this antibiotic and had this episode.
I shaved the area really close in all directions and i even cut myself slightly. After I shaved, i put some rubbing alcohol on the area. A few days later some bumbs grew and i ignored them. Then the bumps started to hurt REALLY bad and they turned into sores or blisters. EVERY area that i shaved was covered with these bumps and sores and some of them were filled with a clear fluid. The pain was so bad at one point that i could hardly walk straight.
- HIV at 7 weeks, 15 weeks and 9 months
- STD test for Clymidia and gonnerea at about 8 months after (this was a urine test) I was concerned cause I peed about 1 hour before testing
Since these exposure I have been on Biaxin for 10 days at 500mg twice a day, Amoxicillian 500mg 3 times a day ( I have been on this twice as I have a saliva gland issue for a number of years. I was also on Cipro 500 twice a day (I think) for a sinus infection.
All test were negative.
I have had episodes of SVT for my entire life and was diagnosed with WPW 30 years ago. My episodes also always go away on their own -- usually with in the first few minutes if I can lay prone and do some valsalva maneuvers, although I occasionally have gone to the ER for monitoring only because if the SVT lasts too long my BP gets a little low.
I take nitro pills and lisinapril and coreg and simvastatin. I also take asprin, soma (for leg pain) I am on effexor xl celexa (mental health) what I would like to know is if any of these pills or a combination of any would make an alcohol blood test elivated.
However, I went to a French doctor when I did still have the sore throat and he prescribed amoxicillin in powder form (despite me telling him about the biaxin xl I had previously been prescribed, which he wasn't familiar with because that is the commercial name), but also pointed out that i had a brown tongue due to a fungus and prescribed to me triflucan, an antifungal also in powder form. he attributed the brown tongue coating to the antibiotics that i had previously been taking.
ve been taking the medicine for at least 10 or 11 days at 1000 milgrams of each both biaxin and flagyl daily..and should have stop taking them along time ago ..is this common?
Get your doc to prescribe you a beta blocker they will lower your heart rate.. something like toprol XL ( Metorpolol) or Bystolic... ect..well all of them there bad loans you beena makin and wakein up at nite worrin bout em mite increase your heart rate...laffin...... I wuza banker and it gave me afib...but im 70 now and stilla tickin... good luck...Claytex ( I was teasin you but the beta blockers will likely solve your problem.
as per doc advice i am using met xl 50(metoprolof succinateextended release tablet) one tab a day. but this is not controlling the bp and the values are constantly remained same, my weight is 98 kgs . how to control the bp to normal
