biaxin xl for ear infection

My doc perscribed Biaxin xl 2x 500 and prednisone 50mg 4 days if needed. Last night I was so bad I took the pred at 8pm. This morning I took the biaxin at 6am. It's been about 8 hours and my heart has sped up from about 70 to 85-90 for about an hour and won't come down. I'm afraid to take my next dose of prednisone but I've been on short bursts before with no issue. Is a resting heart rate around 90 something to be worried about?

i was prescribed more antibiotics by a french doctor when i still had the sore throat (he was not familiar with the biaxin xl) and an antifungal triflucan for the tongue, which he attributed to the antiobiotics. The coating is not really going away though, and while I did not take the full course of the new antibiotics, I have been taking the antifungal. I know that oral sex without ejaculation is low risk, but is this coating a bad sign?

worse yesterday i noticed a small white patch on my tonsils which went away but reappeared on the back of my throat today; in the crevice that conects my nasal passage to my mouth: what are the chances its hiv i know oral thrush is pretty unique as far as symptoms go: if it was an infection why didnt the antibiotics clear it up i tested negative a few days shy of the 'week mark the worst part is that i recently started a study abroad program in paris and this is ruining my trip.

He has been on 35+ antibotics for infections- pneumonia,bronchitis,ear infection, sinus infections etc. He was on an antibotic 2 weeks ago for an ear infect and 4 days ago he was coughing so bad his dr ordered sinus x ray and he has a bad maxillary infection on both sides. He has been taking Biaxin for 4 days now and is running 102.2 fever tonight. He has bad reflux- we had a ph probe study done. his sinuses are formed weird.

I have a bunch of symptoms that im afraid may indicate something serious. blotchy rash on my neck, chest palms and groin; loss of sensation and discoloration of my penis; cold sweats; constipation and difficulty urinating w no pain involved. I've had a sinus infection and ear infection for sometime now but just started taking biaxin yesterday. Not much improvement..could I have some kidney or liver issues due to years of cocaine abuse?

t get rid of the infection, so maybe a broad spectrum antibiotic will work for me. I sure hope so. thank you again for your advice.

I've had a sore throat off and on (mostly on) for about 3 weeks now. I went to the doctor last Friday and was prescribed Biaxin 500mg twice per day. I've been doing this for 5 days now and there's been no improvement. The pain seems to move around my throat and neck area but its always intense. Yesterday it was below the larynx and today it`s mostly below my ear on the left side. Last Saturday was the last day that I had little or no pain.

Well this is what's weird about it: The lesions come and go. The drug is Biaxin XL. I've taken plain Biaxin before at least twice, but not this XL formulation. I've been wondering if maybe I'm allergic to some other part of the pill that's not the drug.

Also should add, treated with Cipro 500mg for 10 days and Biaxin 500mg for 21 days for sinus infection, during the time frame of possible std infection....would this cause a delay or would it actually cure the std infection, if there was one to begin with?

I finished that and here it is 2 days later, and I am feeling run down again and now I have a spot under my left ear that is sore and my ear canal is sore as well. My lungs are still congested and producing greenish mucous. An ultrasound did reveal a small cyst on my thyroid, but no reall attention is being paid to that right now. Something minor is also going on with my liver- my NP asked if I take a lot of tylenol.

allmy dr told me was that certin quinolones do give false positives. my med was biaxin xl 500mg. but that was all he would tell me. he seemed to be really busy. now i need to find out if that is one of the 13 quinolones. if you can assist me further please do so. or advize me where to search. thanks .

I am on 2 meds for b.p toprol xl and diovan - im getting a loud ringing in my left ear on and off.. and at night I get a loud high pitched buzzing sound both ears ! it goes away with loud or normal sounds in the room or where im at.. but comes back when sitting alone reading or online. really bothers me ! I tryed a natural med called ring stop! and it works ok but fades out after 4hours or so.. so have to keep taking it.

Took Clarithromycin (Biaxin) for 7 days: This is a strong antibiotic so read up on all side effects. I can tell you one of the side effects is nightmares so don't take this med when going to sleep. And it's alway good to take some probiotics when taking antibiotic.

For the last eight months I have been going through a lot of life changes. I graduated college, searched for a job, moved back in with my parents for four months, started a new & highly stressful job in which i work 60-70 hours per week, and decided to buy a house with my boyfriend of five years. I also took biaxin for a throat problem a week ago. Doc gave me 500mg pills twice a day for 5 days. and I took them for 3 days then stopped for 2 day then finished the last 2 days after cause I found out that I have to do all of them. Since I have gone back on Biaxin and Tindamax in the last week, I seem to hit a wall around 3pm and I can't keep my eyes open. I have taken an afternoon nap about 4 days out of 7. I am a terrible napper and rarely ever nap, even when I was at my sickest with Lyme. I guess it could be herxing from the meds, but I haven't had this in the past. I am wondering if these two drugs are particularly targeting cysts and spiros in my brain.

just one last point, the biaxin and amoxicilian were taken at different times around 2-3 months apart. Biaxin was for a Resp infection and the amoxicilian was for my saliva gland issue. The doctor took blood and did a throat culture, in case I had strep or mono. Neither was present. BUT he gave me a different antibiotic for the sinus infection called Biaxin, for acute sinusitis, which has been working wonders after one day on it. But I just read that Biaxin is given to HIV/AIDS patients for Mycobacterium avium complex!!!! Is it possible that he did an HIV test without my knowledge and is now trying to treat me for it????

ve been taking the medicine for at least 10 or 11 days at 1000 milgrams of each both biaxin and flagyl daily..and should have stop taking them along time ago ..is this common?

I was on avalide, toprol xl, procardia xl along with the norpace and had to take potassium because it would go too low for the norpace. I have not been able to take avalide since the episode and am now on Avapro which works bettermost of the time than using avalide. None of this makes sense to me or to my doctors since I should be back where this all began the middle of March when I took this antibiotic and had this episode.
