Avatar m tn Went to doctor to get steroid shot they usually work but nothing. Doctor also prescribed Azelastine took awhile to pick it up. There was mix up with where it was sent. Was I glad when I did pick it up... HELL YEAH! Not only did it help with allergies but that hellish itch was gone totally. Just like that UNBELIEVABLE! Don't know why. Can't find any info that Azelastine would help with that problem. BUT IT DID! there is no doubt in my mind. Its not a coincidence.

It may and often does occur without the headache. Migraine headaches usually occur insensitivity to light (photophobia.) They frequently run in family's and can occur early in life. Avatar f tn I went back to the same ophthalmic surgeon here in Houston who performed my Lasik in January 2009 when I noticed rapidly decreasing vision in my right eye. The surgeon and his head Optometrist in his practice were pushing for me to have surgery the following week in my right eye and utilize a Acrysof ReSTOR IOL. They were also adamant that I also have the Acrysof ReSTOR IOL implanted into my left eye a week later following the right eye surgery.
Avatar f tn A month after cataract operation I got occlusion of ophthalmic artery with a loss of peripheral vision very close to central vision. No reason for this event was found. I am scared, because my vision on the eye is loosing contrast vision and I am not sure about the future. Only explanation of my ophthalmologist is the operation trauma and therefore the event will not happen again. Anyway I am scared of blindness, because my left eye was always worse than my right eye.
915277 tn?1252573113 While having a CT w/Infusion for swelling in my Parotid gland (salivary gland between ear & jaw on the face) an Ophthalmic Artery Aneurysm was found on the left side of my brain, it is 4mm. Went to a neurosurgeon for evaluation and he said that because of it's small size and the fact that it was not bubbling out (was smooth) we would not do surgery, but, would keep a close eye on it...CT angio's every six months.
Avatar f tn Optivar (Azelastine) is an antihistamine, a fairly potent one, but you might want to ask your eye doctor about possibly using a corticosteroid eye drop to quell the severe allergic reaction. Also, you might want to consider the use of wrap-around or sealed glasses to reduce the amount of airborne allergen reaching your eyes. Itching is one thing – pain is another especially bad eye pain. Probably just that awful feeling of gravel in the eyes.
Avatar m tn Hi all, for the past year i have been suffering from what i can only describe constant fuzzy light in my vision. I have had my eyes tested an they found nothing wrong at all. My doctor said it may be a ophthalmic migraine but its been a year now an it hasn't gone. It's not painful but it has started to worry me. Can any give me any advice or does anyone know what may be causing it?

Avatar m tn The Symptoms for the over production of HCL, and the under production of HCL, are virtually identical. The both cause Reflux, Belching, Bloating, Abdominal Discomfort, Irrecular Stools, etc. Unfortunately many doctors are prescribing Proton Pump Inhibitors or pH Blocking Medications to their Patiens which is making them Achlorhydric.
Avatar n tn I tested positive but I am allergic to Fluoxetine Hcl, Diphenhydramine Hcl, Doxycycline, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride, Fluoxetine, Azithromycin and Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate. What antibiotic can I take to treat this? Amoxicillin?
Avatar m tn Thanks Doctor for the info...very helpful. My doctor's website says she is "board-certified ophthalmic surgeon and a Fellow of the AmericanSociety of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery" , "has a private practice in cosmetic and reconstructive Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery" Should I still have to look for an oculoplastic surgeon or move forward with this one? Thanks much.
Avatar n tn Apple cider vinegar is a way to cleanse the body and balance acid and alkaline, but it doesn't increase stomach acid on a permanent basis. Betaine HCL is used for gallstones, not for stomach acidity, since it doesn't do that either. The reason is that neither stays in the stomach, so it can't permanently alter the acid/alkaline balance. The caution about HCL is more about using pure HCL food grade.
