I have high blood pressure, take three meds.( atenenol, avapro, monoxidil, and a statin) At least one med suggests that ankle swelling could result. An echocardigram awhile back suggested that my heart may be a bit sluggish as breath is expelled. I do not fatigue easily - people often comment on my activity level. I am trying to get used to a Cpap machine. I am 82 years old, but, again, they say I look like someone in my 60ies.
Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash. Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids. Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream with little result. Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief. I tried using Xalatan in AM rather than at nite, no change. Tried just Trusopt AM and early PM, no change.
Have been reading posts... See a cardio for meds... been diagnosed with abnormal sinus tachy with intermittent SVT nonsustained unsure about this cause never got above a beat of 165 which I am aware of ....
Did have an episode of what I believe they called a-fib which left me totally wiped.
I am unaware of these beats but get left awfully tired after I realize my rythum is out of sync.... just tired of it... want to excersize normal without a racing heart...
All seemed well except for some inflamation around heart. No fluid. Later that morning, for no reason, I became very emotional. I am a man who keeps his emotions in check but this day I could not stop crying. Now 2 weeks later I still have some episodes of breaking down and feeling depressed. Also, had some other issues. Feeling sick to my stomach, some burning while urinating and still some tenderness in the areas of the groin where the incisions were made.
I'm not diabetic, at least not yet anyway.
But, unfortunately, I do drink a lot of soda and have done so for a long time. And, in the past when I've tried to stop cold-turkey, I often have episodes of low blood sugar (shakes, sweats, confusion), so I end up back drinking sodas for fear of having another episode.
Thankyou so much for your advice and for you to take interest in my condition.This happens only when I am outside in cold wind or when I come out of shower and my body starts getting cold.I have no problem in hot water and warm conditions, so its mostly in cold weather.I am cosulting my GP also and he thinks that my blood vessels open up with the change of temperatures and because of being on so many medications it can happen.
m not a doctor but my opinion from my experiences it may not be a major concern right now,but still a concern especially if it stays that high for long periods of time.so i would atleast try to get meds for it.
He is taking to kinds of tablet , Duride in the morning 1 whole tablet, avapro,lipitor 20mg, lasixs and 5mg of the beta blocker. He used to take 1/2 a noten tablet before the beta blocker. He has said that he thinks he has a bladder infection and doesnt want to drink fluids after 7pm at night so he wont need to get up during the night. Is this a bad sign??
I had been taking 150 mg of avapro for 10 years for high blood pressure. I recently lost 25 pounds and was able to maintain my blood pressure on 75 mg. in fact with a home machine my blood pressure is consistently low. It never goes above 106/70 and most often is 90-97/70-75. Would it be safe to stop taking the medication to see if I can keep the pressure from getting high? Or would it be safer to cut the pill in half and if so, for how long?
I am very slightly overweight, but exercise everyday for an hour on the stair master and elliptical trainer at moderate intensity. I weigh 205 pounds and 6ft 1" tall.

Carotid Doppler Carotid Bilateral - Normal, both sides clear, normal waveforms
ECG Stress Test - Normal functionality. Reached target easily. No breathlessness.
Echocardiogram - All normal, normal sizes and areas except left ventricle wall thickness moderately thick at 1.
I take avapro for blood pressure, immovane for sleep and now to quell the anxiety. I have frequent ophthalmic migraines (all sparkly lights, no pain) and have a pain migraine every two weeks or so. I can't get anyone to help me and with every week I am that much less functioning. Oh, I've also gained 40 lbs in six months; mostly belly fat. Please!! Any thoughts? Suggestions? Home remedies while I wait to get a doc to take me seriously?
m on BP medication (avapro 150mg). My BP is usually in check running around 118/70. No family history of heart disease (except Dad passed away from cardiomyapthy, was determined to be a non-genetic virus that attacked his heart).
I'm 30 years old, 5'11 195 lbs. I try to eat pretty healthy, lots of fruits and veggies. Exercise a few times a week. I've had the following tests done.
ijust started taking pills for thriods (synthriod)and high blood presuer (avapro)about a mounth now. so just wandring if this can cause me to have lows like this. and would like to know what would happen if you go to low like a coma and no one is around to help a person to get out of a low thats realy bad. thankyou.
m not sure if she used a new condom(I was drunk).The place were this happened (a small alley) is known for not that being to careful about hygene.Also for financial reasons they often use condoms(for blowjobs) more then once.
Well,I'm just scared that the condom she put on me was already used and the chance for me contracting hiv if this was previously used by an hiv positive man.I never came but had plenty of precum if that might help for information).
m back to the CTX -150 mg/day,now, and it seems to be finally keeping the brain fog away. I did nothing for the deadaches, and I am now taking divaloprox for them. This is helping too. I am also on verapamil, prednisone,avapro, vit B-12, vit-D, calcium, cymbalta, plavix, and ambien. I'm a walking grugstore I have recently develped Hoener's Syndrome, choking on liquids, a chronic cough, fecal urgency, and regurgitation. I fel as though I will drown if I lay flat.
also have supraventracular tachycardia. In 2001 I had ablation for vt which was partially successful..one blip after blood pressure fell so not sure totally gone...and could not get to supraventricular arrythmia because of loss of blood pressure.. I was in intensive care for a couple of days to keep blood pressure before doctor put me on norpace cr 150 twice a day.
I have been on it ever since and am now 71 years old.
He did a sleep study and it was positive for sleep apnea but not sure if sleep apnea is the casue of the latest abnormal Echo. I think I am in some type of Heart Failure with my symptoms yet the BNP is normal and my EF is tooo normal.
I am in my late fifites and have had two small MI's in the distal septal Apex LAD. I take Plavix, aspirin, zebeta, avapro 150 and a 12.5 Diuretic, 3 times a week and synthroid.
I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.
