Had an ultra sound on the weekend and nothing shows up. I am now on warfrain for 3 months post op and I have high blood pressure where I take labetalol. diltiazam, flecinide(?) and avapro.
What is going on?
I am happliy married with a 3 year old and lots of family for backup. I have noticed that my patience are running thinner than usuall. God bless my wife.

Fourteen months ago the aneurism was measured at 5.2cm, when I was prescribed to go onto blood pressure medication and lipids medications to help reduce the pressure in the artery. Three months ago, I had further scans (echocardiograph) to be told that the aneurism had shrunk back to 4.8cm. Surely, as the aneurism really couldn't "shrink" on its own due to tissue damage, one of the tests taken 11 months apart must be wrong.
I had been taking 150 mg of avapro for 10 years for high blood pressure. I recently lost 25 pounds and was able to maintain my blood pressure on 75 mg. in fact with a home machine my blood pressure is consistently low. It never goes above 106/70 and most often is 90-97/70-75. Would it be safe to stop taking the medication to see if I can keep the pressure from getting high? Or would it be safer to cut the pill in half and if so, for how long?
Hx: Hubby 47 has had HBP for 1 year? systolic(136-150) dyastoic(104 118). Heart rate high 90's or 100 - 110. Took Avapro o/d x 1 month July/08. Stress test after second appt. was okay. Cholesterol ok. BP still up. ie: dyastolic 108 - 118. Ht rate 100 - 120. Hubbies father has MI at age 51 died. Hubbies bro at 49 had a massage coronary and died. (2002). Family doc doesn't seem concerned.
I think his heart rate is too high. His dyastolic pressure is still high.
t personally dealt with it but a close friend had to give herself blood thinner shots in her belly throughout her whole pregnancy. Her doctor decided that a scheduled c-section was the best choice for her so that they could be in control of the situation. She hated it but she did want she had to do for the pregnancy.
This had to wait a week because of my week condition from other injuries. The last surgeon would not put me on blood thinner because he was concerned about internal bleeding. He did install an IVS filter because a blood clot had already started in one leg.
Fast forward 6 weeks and still no blood thinner even tho I was non-weight bearing, immobile and inactive. I used a slide board to transfer from bed to wheelchair to commode. One morning both of my legs were swelled a lot. I called Dr.
One day I ate some white rice, sugar suddenly fall to 8 mmol, then even a tiny piece of roti was dropping suddenly. Blood pressure increased, Took avapro, started eating more protein. But I did not get any medical support. Family doctor says, I do not know, hospital says go to family doctor. Family doctor did not give any specialist. However after 5 months, sugar settled between 8 mmol to 11 mmol without medicine. But I was eating less carb, mostly vegetable and rotein.
I had a successful ablation on july 19, 2010 and only took blood thinner for the first 90 days following the ablation while my heart was healing.. I do take an 81 mg asprin daily. Im 69 so figure theyd want me to take it even with out an ablation. Hope this helps some. Never had a pace maker. I had the darn afib for 13 years and was shocked back into regular rhythm numerous times... It sure is nice to be back to normal now.. Im so glad I had the ablation... no pvcs no afib now ...
re on a blood thinner like warfarin for some reason, they may aim for 2.0 - 3.0. In some cases where clotting is a real problem they may push it up to 2.5 to 3.5. Does that help? Do you have a heart or clotting disorder? Work with your doctor on that. They can control it but you'd have to be monitored regularly.
I take avapro for blood pressure, immovane for sleep and now to quell the anxiety. I have frequent ophthalmic migraines (all sparkly lights, no pain) and have a pain migraine every two weeks or so. I can't get anyone to help me and with every week I am that much less functioning. Oh, I've also gained 40 lbs in six months; mostly belly fat. Please!! Any thoughts? Suggestions? Home remedies while I wait to get a doc to take me seriously?
ijust started taking pills for thriods (synthriod)and high blood presuer (avapro)about a mounth now. so just wandring if this can cause me to have lows like this. and would like to know what would happen if you go to low like a coma and no one is around to help a person to get out of a low thats realy bad. thankyou.
The surgeon did not order blood thinner as medication, and when we asked about Xarelto (blood thinner) from nurses, they told that blood thinner was not in list of her medications. Her doctor would have been able to see patient only on Tuesday. On Tuesday, August 21, mother suffered very severe pain in her abdomen, and the condition became critical, she was taken to the ER, and emergency surgery was performed.
I am a Diabetic and on a lot of Medication, Novamix-Insilin,Avapro, Vytorin, Thyroxin,Zanidip, Nexium and Iron Tabs,Aspirin and gaviscon.I get so much painful itch in my whole body when I come out of shower, or I go out in the cold wind.
After leaving the hospital hematoma started to be visible on her hips and upper leg around 30 square centimeters on the left and 10 square centimeters on the right , her hemoglobin level dropped to 7 , CRP was 22 according to the doctor that was due to her body being sensitive to the blood thinner used during the surgery , how true is that ?
