Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
Help me I had a skin culture done for Bacteria and it came back with
1) Klebsiella pneumoniae ( HEAVY GROWTH )
2) Escherichia coli ( HEAVY GROWTH )
Now I have taken Augmentin xr for 2 wks along with Gentamicin ont no change in skin color still red and when water comes in contact gets redder! So doctor now has me on Augmention 875 and gentamicin cream the dosage is augumentin 2x day and gent cream 4x days !
I got really sick, and my doctor put me on the antiobiotic Augmentin XR(Amoxicillin clavulanic potassium). I am also taking some tylenol for fever. I was wondering if all these drugs are safe to take together. Specifically, will my potassium levels be altered to a dangerous point? I've heard ambiguities about birth control and antibiotics. I just want to make sure the mix of medication will not adversley affect anything.
It didn't take long for my doc to confirm my ADD-PI and he prescribed Aderral 10 mg to take once a day along with Wellbutrin XL 150. He said I might need a higher dose or switch to the XR later.
Has anyone tried both at the same time? I got the generic version of Aderral and surprised how cheap it was. Should this be taken every day or only when I have lots to do and need to concentrate?

I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

An initial root canal had been too shallow, had left some of the infected root in the tooth, and allowed the infection to progress into a nearby tooth, into my jaw, and all over my head. I became extremely ill for months (bedridden with the most severe flu-like illness). Both affected teeth have now been removed - under one the oral surgeon found a bone infection, he said the bone was mushy and he had to remove some of it.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
Furthermore would the antibiotic Augmentin XR 875mg work to cure NGU? I have read numerous posts and the general attitude is that there is very little to no risk of contracting anything.
But i wanted to ease my mind because shortly after (aprox. 5 days) I feel a tingling in the head of my penis when I urinate. There is no other pain or discharge. Best way to describe it is that I feel like i have to pee again shortly after i go.
s tests and I was diagnosed with syphilis. A private doctor prescribed me augmentin xr 1000 for 14 days. When one month has passed after the treatment I had another tests in other clinic and results for syphilis were negative, however I suffered some sort of urticarias, which I guess were an allergic reaction from the antibiotic and I went to see another dermatologist, who said that I still might have syphilis. I went to her clinic she made tests and confirmed that I still have it.

anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.

I got the augmentin 400-57 suspension on Saturday afternoon. It is now Tuesday evening. It has been at room temp this entire time. How critical is refrigeration?
1) although not preferred, will the Augmentin regimen clear me of anything?
2) how soon could I be accurately tested for STD's?
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
My Dr has treated me with Metronidazole- brand name used was flagyl Nylstatin for yeast, clamycin,spandnox (for yeast), and recently had some relief with Augmentin(which was prescribed for a chest infection). When i was on augmentin all the above symptoms went away however came back 1 or 2 days after i came off the anti biotic.
I have recently been prescribed Z-pack and then amoxycillin for what appeared to be a sinus infection (pain in face and upper and lower jaw on one side). The amoxycillin cleared it up finally, but now it is returning with more obvious signs that it is from my back upper right molar, with pain when I chew and pretty consistent throbbing. The first antibiotic was early-December, the second was right after.
Treated with Omnicef, Augmentin, Cliacin, Rocephin Shots, Bactrim, etc. Also on Claritin/Singulair at 10 months for sinus/allergy issues.
-Myringotomy at 12 months, with 10 day run of Augmentin and 6 day run of antibiotic ear-drops post-op.

was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Please, i'm hoping someone can answer this. For the past 5 years, my enzymes have been tested 2x a year by by cardiologist as routine - they have always been perfect. So, they have been perfect for 10 tests! Now my ast is 74 - I think alt was normal. What is going on ? Could i have hep c and they've been normal for ten tests and now show up? I was on a lot of meds the month prior - augmentin, senna, tylenol, etc. Please rspond if you can?!
