Below is copied from Dr Burrascano's treatment guidelines for Lyme (posted on the ILADS website), including an entry on doxycycline [aka doxy] dosage:
"Adults: 200 mg bid [meaning twice a day] with food; doses of up to 600 mg daily are often needed, as doxycycline is only effective at high blood levels." So perhaps your doc's doses are on the light side -- I'd ask him, but sometimes docs get huffy. I'd ask him anyway. It's your health we're talking about.

Now I have taken Augmentin xr for 2 wks along with Gentamicin ont no change in skin color still red and when water comes in contact gets redder! So doctor now has me on Augmention 875 and gentamicin cream the dosage is augumentin 2x day and gent cream 4x days !

Chemotherapy, especially in the doses you had. But 10-15% are resistant. Augmentin xr has not been studied for its effect against pharyngeal gonorrhea, but in the doses used for strepStrep throat , it probably would cure it.

I took Effexor XR for 3 years and it worked. I weaned off by switching to regular Effexor and breaking the pills into peices. I was ok for 1 month and the depression came back. I got back on regular effexor and began to feel positive effects but not totally. I switched to XR Effexor and it worked better. But still not full remission. I started th regular effexor 13 weeks ago and have been on the EFFEXOR XR for 2 weeks. But I still don't feel like myself.
5 to 3.5 (2 art heart valves). About 6 to 8 weeks ago, I took augmentin for 10 days, 2 weeks ago, I took another antibiotic for 5 days. Since then, my PT/INR has been too low, 2.0. I just started taking Effexor XR 3 wks ago and I was wondering if anyone has had a good experience with this med as a preventative? If so, what is the appropriate dosage for migraine prevention? I am on 75 mg once a day. Also, I started taking taking 500mg of GABA and 200mg of l-theanine before bed to help me sleep. I have been having trouble sleeping since December (break-up). That is why I am taking the effexor. The GABA/theanine combo has helped with the sleep greatly.
I have been taking medication for depression for 39 years. Initially I took elavil for about 20 years. I took prozac unsuccessfully for less than a year. I then took Effexor and later ther Effexor XR. Effexor XR allowed me to live a reasonably normal life raising a child and having a career. I am desperately seeking answers to my 7 yr old son's problems. About 8 weeks ago, he started complaining of tummy ache after school. Within a couple of days, he also started having headaches always on his forehead. The ped. put him on Amoxycillin due to a possible sinus infection. He also had bloodwork done and his T4 and TSH came at borderline. He responded to the Amox. for a few days and the headaches returned.
I'm on weird mix of viepax 262.5 for the last 2-3 years
which breaks down like this:
1 tablet - 75 XR
1 tablet - 150 XR
1 tablet - 37.5 venlafaxine hydrochloride (??)
The thing is that in the last months the pharmacy didn't get the 75 XR for some reason so I was given only the other two. Well, I haven't paid much attention to that and I just started cutting the pills "happily".

There are a lot of variables to consider, including dosage, length of use, and other medications. In this respect, effexor is much like heroin, it makes you feel better for a while, but when you try to stop you get sick, and have become dependent on it.
Also, i take some antiseptic and anti-inflammatory medication like bradoral 0.5 mg (domiphen bromide ). Also, I take a syrup for common cold and influenza (dosage teaspoonful 5ml which contains 160mg paracetamol, 1mg chlorpheniramine maleate, 15mg pseudoephedrine HCI, and 4.5mg dextromethorphan HBr).
