m wondering if maybe I should try it again in conjunction with the Augmentin, since it may now have a better chance of working since the 2 teeth were pulled and the bone cleaned out.
My oral surgeon would like to try me on clindamycin again, but my infectious disease doctor says the Augmentin should be fighting all of the bacteria. But it doesn't feel like it is at all, the infection has been getting worse for the past 3 or 4 days.
For 2 months now, I have had earaches, pain in upper teeth, pain in the jaw,pain in temple, pain along bridge of nose, pain under eye and above brow. I've had a full doseof augmentin and had exrays on upper teeth. I'm living on aleve or ibuprofen. Please help me.
Now: I've been experience throbbing pain around upper right teeth, my cheek, front and back of my head, and I have swollen painful gum around my right side of my face, and I right shoulder is aching. And I think lymph nose under my chin is swollen. The right side of my face, neck, around ear and back of my head hurt if I push those areas. But I do not have a runny or stuffy nose. I do know that there is a little drainage going down the back of my throat, but it is really a little amount.
I really thought I felt better when I was getting the shots. The Rocephin interrupted the course of Augmentin, so I finished the Augmentin after the shots were complete. I think I finished the Augmentin on a Friday, and that Saturday I had virtually no symptoms at all. Sunday they returned and have been bothering since.
ve googled and see that some potential causes are cellulitis, hypothyroidism, tooth abscess, allergies, trauma, infections, inflammation, I think lupus?, and cancer. I have had some recent dental issues (infection, teeth pulled, roots left too long after a tooth fell out). Has anyone had this? So weird. I mean, I guess I should assume it's from the dental stuff, but I just had another panoramic xray, and the dentist said everything was fine.
I've been on antibiotics 3 X, every time I'm done, infection comes back, even after tooth extraction. Please see details below, I need your opinion. Thank You...
Started with Left sore throat, then Gum Pain & hard white painful bump near #17 wisdom tooth. Got severe, hard to swallow, chew, painful. My reg. Dentist Rx'd Amoxicillin - took 6 days to start working. After swelling went down,did x-ray, he could not find any problem -tooth not abcessed.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I am in the midst of phase I of a reconstruction of my teeth due to bruxism and/or TMJ. After the 4 hr. appt to prepare my upper teeth for the impressions, my dentist decided to fix a problematic tooth not specified in the phase I project. He found I needed a root canal, which he did. During the procedure, he said my "devital" tooth had abscessed and he worked on that.
I became extremely ill for months (bedridden with the most severe flu-like illness). Both affected teeth have now been removed - under one the oral surgeon found a bone infection, he said the bone was mushy and he had to remove some of it.

6 days ago I had my lower left molars removed, for teeth total. I had a massive tooth infection that swelled my face really substantially. Antibiotics didn't even take the swelling down. I received nerve damage from the infection causing paresthesia in my chin and lower lip. The extraction was done after a month of antibiotics and went off without a hitch. I had minimal pain and swelling from the procedure and seem to be healing well except for a couple of things.
Hi everyone, I have 3 cats that are litter mates. 1 little Princess girl, and 2 little stinker boys. I also have 4 other kitties. The 2 brothers came to blows about 4 days back and now 1 has an abscess by his ear on the top of his head. I've been able to clean it with some Chlorhexidine scrub and warm water a couple times since finding the abscess yesterday. This evening while cleaning it I started getting a lot of nasties out of it.
It is now 5 day later and I continue to have severe (10 out of 10) pain in my chin and in my front teeth. I am actually unable to touch my upper teeth to my lower teeth without almost fainting from the pain. I have been to two dentists. One prescribed a flouride toothpaste (no help) and the other charged me over $4,000 to seal the bottom of my teeth. I am unable to sleep or eat because of the pain. Last night I found a 24 hr pharmacy and started taking Augmentin, 500 mg/ TID.

It may be Augmentin or it may be something else. I think you should mention this to your doctor.
On July 1st I was sent to an oral surgeon who did a panoramic of my face and there was infection the size of a walnut up into my sinus. He put me on Augmentin and on July 8th he pulled the tooth. He also took the stitches out of the incision but the flap opened like it had never been stitched. He restitched it with Gortex stitches and said he thought it hadn't healed because I was so stressed out about the infection.
I have not been to a dentist in a long time for a cleaning but have good teeth health. Floss about three times a week and brush at least two to three times a day. I do have some medical conditions and recently, had a bad sinus infection mixed with a virus, cough, etc.... Doctor gave me a Zpack (started this past Wednesday) with 500mg pills and finished my last dose Sunday (9/29 - I think).

4 days on augmentin 825 for a chronic dental infection (now a bone infection), I started having major swelling in my hands. This is new, I've never had swelling like this. Yesterday my one hand looked freakishly red and swollen. It was so swollen, that when I straightened out my hand (which was difficult), everything turned white, inbetween the redness.
Anyway, I tried going off the augmentin (I'm taking it in conjunction with clindamycin), and today I feel much less swollen.
In 2006 I had a root canal & crown done on last molar & then 9 monts later woke up swollen & puss came out of gum. The dentist xrayed & said everything looked good & it happened because the tooth sat to high & I gring my teeth & the pressure brused the bone & caused infection. Now again last week the same thing except now I also have a white bumpy looking thing on the opening of throat on the same side as the molar. I'm sure that's from the infection.
The following day, I noticed a small legion of bumps on my lower gum just below my two bottom teeth as well as a sore throat. It was a small group of bumps looking something like the herpes virus that I have had on my lip before. I called my dr and they called in 5 days of Valtrex. It never tingled or hurt and the Valtrex didn't do a thing. The following Monday I went to my doctor and told them what happened.
anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.
Hi, Iam 12wks pregnant. I was given augmentin sr tablets to treat a sinus infection. The doc said it's safe but I am scared to take it.
