m wondering if maybe I should try it again in conjunction with the Augmentin, since it may now have a better chance of working since the 2 teeth were pulled and the bone cleaned out.
My oral surgeon would like to try me on clindamycin again, but my infectious disease doctor says the Augmentin should be fighting all of the bacteria. But it doesn't feel like it is at all, the infection has been getting worse for the past 3 or 4 days.
ve been experience throbbing pain around upper right teeth, my cheek, front and back of my head, and I have swollen painful gum around my right side of my face, and I right shoulder is aching. And I think lymph nose under my chin is swollen. The right side of my face, neck, around ear and back of my head hurt if I push those areas. But I do not have a runny or stuffy nose. I do know that there is a little drainage going down the back of my throat, but it is really a little amount.
He said given that I had 2 infected teeth on the left side of my mouth, that it was really likely that it was due to that. So the plan was to get the teeth out and see what the lymph node did. He told me to get the US in September.
I had a bottom left molar that had broken a chunk off a few years ago, which I never did anything about because it didn't hurt (and I'm an idiot). I recently discovered a huge cavity in it.
I asked the nurse to confirm everything would show in my blood and she said no, it could take weeks and I should come back and re-test in a month. At the time of testing, they put me on a z-pac because of possible sinus infection. Yesterday they started me on 875mg Augmentin twice a day for 10 days. Yesterday I had something new in where I am experiancing some groin discomfort (approx. 2in above the left testicle). It isn't painful and comes and goes.
6 days ago I had my lower left molars removed, for teeth total. I had a massive tooth infection that swelled my face really substantially. Antibiotics didn't even take the swelling down. I received nerve damage from the infection causing paresthesia in my chin and lower lip. The extraction was done after a month of antibiotics and went off without a hitch. I had minimal pain and swelling from the procedure and seem to be healing well except for a couple of things.
so I took my STD test but before I got the result I panicked thinking of gonorrhea or syphilis and took Augmentin for 3 days. Now the tests are all negative but considering the window period for some STD, should I finish taking Augmentin as a precaution to get rid of the possible infection? Thank you.
ve googled and see that some potential causes are cellulitis, hypothyroidism, tooth abscess, allergies, trauma, infections, inflammation, I think lupus?, and cancer. I have had some recent dental issues (infection, teeth pulled, roots left too long after a tooth fell out). Has anyone had this? So weird. I mean, I guess I should assume it's from the dental stuff, but I just had another panoramic xray, and the dentist said everything was fine.
Because I had been previously diagnosed (and treated with 1000mg Amoxicillin three times daily) with a sinus and left ear infection about a month earlier he suspected that I could possibly have some type of resistant sinusitus and prescribed Augmentin XR (1000 mg) 2 pills twice a day. I had oral sex again with the asymptomatic guy again on 4/11. I was informed by the guy who developed gonorrhea of all this today, 4/14, and have not had sex with him since before his symptoms began.
I was wondering if anyone else has taken Augmentin. I was prescribed it for a double ear infection. Originally I was given acetic acid drops but they aren't working.
I plan on calling my OB in the morning to double check. They are pregnancy category B. Although they are thought to be safe not many studies have been done on them. I'm nervous about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I am only 18.

I am in the midst of phase I of a reconstruction of my teeth due to bruxism and/or TMJ. After the 4 hr. appt to prepare my upper teeth for the impressions, my dentist decided to fix a problematic tooth not specified in the phase I project. He found I needed a root canal, which he did. During the procedure, he said my "devital" tooth had abscessed and he worked on that.
s been 8 days since I had wisdom teeth surgery to remove two of my right wisdom teeth. Yesterday, I had the stitches removed and the doctor said that everything looked great. While checking my teeth, I noticed a small hole in the lower part where my wisdom tooth was. I'm not sure if the same goes for the upper part as it's hard to see. Is this normal or should I go get it stitched? How long until my gums go back to normal?
A tooth that was previously untreated and unaffected is starting to throb terribly (it was between the 2 teeth that got pulled). And, my parotid gland area on that side is hurting badly again - it shows up as inflamed in my cat scans. I'm taking the Augmentin XR with a diuretic, and with that although my throat swelled with the first Augmentin dose I seem to be doing ok, except for some weird aches and pains I've had since going on it - but those I can deal with.
The most common cause of swollen glands or lymph nodes is infection. This may include infection in the head such as in the ear, tonsils, gums or teeth and even the skin in these parts or other conditions such as autoimmune conditions and even malignancy. Pain medications may help provide relief. However, If it persists, diagnostic tests such as blood tests and direct physical examination may need to be done. Antibiotics may be indicated for bacterial infections.
It is highly likely that Augmentin in the dose and duration I just recommended would abort incubating gonorrhea -- which almost certainly you didn't catch anyway. You can safely take the drug then continue unprotected sex with your wife.
The problem here isn't just STD; you apparently are reacting emotionally to the sexual event, perhaps conflicted about your own sexual orientation or preferences. But this isn't a counseling service, so that will be all for this thread.
was aware I had the seizure problem and prescribed cipro, which I had to call and tell them to send me something different. The one at the pharmacy now is Augmentin. Just need a neurologist`s expert opinion as to whether or not it is alright to take Augmentin with my myoclonic seizure condition. Do not want to start up any seizures. However, this UTI is hurting so badly!!! If It is too risky then I can`t take it!!!! Please help me.
Augmentin will affect your pill. The other one I do not know about. It probably takes a couple of days for the antiboitics to get out of your system. You might wanna use a second form of protection just in case.
He thought I had a secondary infection in the uterus and gave me Augmentin to take along with the other I am taking. It has been 36 hours and my breast is still really red and sore. I don't know what to do! I am worried that it may lead to sepsis?? Or should I not be worried since I am taking augmentin? It is the weekend, so I can't call my doc again. I haven't had a recurrence of fever or chills. Was the fever just a symtom of Mastitis?
Hi everyone, I have 3 cats that are litter mates. 1 little Princess girl, and 2 little stinker boys. I also have 4 other kitties. The 2 brothers came to blows about 4 days back and now 1 has an abscess by his ear on the top of his head. I've been able to clean it with some Chlorhexidine scrub and warm water a couple times since finding the abscess yesterday. This evening while cleaning it I started getting a lot of nasties out of it.
It is now 5 day later and I continue to have severe (10 out of 10) pain in my chin and in my front teeth. I am actually unable to touch my upper teeth to my lower teeth without almost fainting from the pain. I have been to two dentists. One prescribed a flouride toothpaste (no help) and the other charged me over $4,000 to seal the bottom of my teeth. I am unable to sleep or eat because of the pain. Last night I found a 24 hr pharmacy and started taking Augmentin, 500 mg/ TID.
