atripla

1012649 tn?1256229718 Hi. My doctor recently changed my meds from Atripla to the same combination but in two tablets which is Sustiva and Truvada which has emtricitibine in it too. I checked, and these are the same ingredients in Atripla. He changed it because I had a "blip" in my viral load. Viral load was at one point after taking Atripla "undedectable" for about 10 months, then went up to 45 then 3 months later tp 65.

Avatar m tn I had neuro syphilis (rash, lost some hearing stage 2 i believe it was) about 2 years ago and went on atripla at that time. There was a few months (from December 2012 until about June 2013) i was off the meds due to my insurance/cost etc. Back in October 2012 i had all my blood was negative for syphilis and all numbers were great.
Avatar m tn so i have stopped trustiva ( atripla ) after 4 ays of consumption ( 4 tablets ) ... have i done right by stopping trustiva ( atripla ) .... Pls give me ur valuable advice and suggestions..
Avatar f tn I started meds fairly soon after. I started Atripla in 2010. It got be undetectable quickly and has kept that way. I never had major bad side effects on it. I did have some crazy dreams and still do. After I was on it for a couple years, things began to slowly deteriorate. I began getting panic attacks, and bouts of tachycardia and palpitations. I had a history of those but it seemed to get worse.
Avatar m tn nPEP success rate is 86% apx.
Avatar n tn I took that to a specialist who saw the test, looked me over and gave me Atripla to start to be safe. She also sent me off for more tests, elisa and others. I also now took a PCR DNA thats not back yet. I went to a free clinic that gave me a rapid test that came up negative. I am wondering if four days now of Atripla could cause that to be negative? I am wondering if Atripla after four days will make my DNA PCR test invalid?
1470597 tn?1286869087 But when Atripla cost about $1500/mth,and you have stock in pharmaceuticals...However,I have found out that Germany has a few pt's rights and one is the right to med. records.Minus Dr.'s notes.I am not a denialist, but you don't know the entire story. And there are approx. 60 factors that cause FP in Elisa/WB,and vbiral load testing is not specific to HIV.VL tests don't even have the ability to isolate or measure actual viruses.
Avatar m tn Late at night on 6/11, I had brief unprotected insertive vaginal intercourse with a 22 year old CSW (stripper in Vegas) of unknown risk. I've read on this site that very few CSWs in North America are HIV positive, but she was Asian (she said Japanese, but I don't really know) with a pretty thick accent, so I don't know how long she has been in this country. The potential exposure lasted no longer than 30 seconds and there was no ejaculation.
Avatar m tn peg + riba = 2500/month add tela or boce figure 3500 / month - minimum - this is actual cost - your cost will depend on your insurance
1130586 tn?1316266292 Patient Support (GPS) Financial Services 24/7 Nurse Support Reimbursement Form for Healthcare Professionals Call 1-855NoSkype-VERTEX-GPS (1-855NoSkype-837-8394) When I treated with SOC I ran the numbers -- what it cost to treat in total, and what it cost me. The total cost was about $66,000 for the medicine alone (which included Procrit and Neupogen) --- this did not include labs or biopsy or doctors appointments. My cost was about $4000 and that included the biopsy and the medicines.
Avatar n tn Otherwise, try contacting the drug companies. They will give you the meds at no cost if you have no insurance coverage or your insurance declines payment. Somebody will come on with the toll free numbers - I don't have them handy.
Avatar n tn Thanks Liz, so I don't have to take these PEP tablets (Atripla)? It cost me quite alot. And on another note, I know you guys do not approve of PCR RNA tests...but how reliable can a negative PCR test at 10 days post exposure be?
Avatar m tn Atripla is not a good choice then.
Avatar n tn My partner was exposed to hiv during anal intercourse and is currently taking my Atripla. I am undetectable. Should we continue the Atripla or should he be on nPEP at all ??
Avatar f tn My husband was diagnosed in dec after a 5day stay in hospital discharged as neg but tild to call doc in 3days some blood work was not ready. Ehen we called they told him to go seea doc they started him on atripla. He is doing fine but he says he is neg the test r wrong. I don't want to sound stupid but since I am still neg I recently started to wonder if he is right.
Avatar n tn I am a gay male who is HIV- (one previous partner in last 6 months [3 months ago] tested negative 3 days ago). I began dating a guy a couple weeks ago and early this week, we were foolish and began having unprotected anal intercourse. I was the top and entered him (with lubrication) for approximately one minute (tops--probably more like 15 seconds). We stopped, but then later, I re-entered him (no lubrication) for approximately one more minute before stopping. I did not ejaculate in him.
Avatar n tn PCR RNA at 56 days with a 5 days of Atripla in between. Could Atripla knock down primary viral load that much in 5 days to skew this test? Could it also extend my Elisa Window? Now desipte who comes to your site or HIV anxiety run amuck does, I have no interest in making myself crazier than I am. I was not concerned that I had a sexual episode with a risky person at all. The symptoms just hit me like a ton of bricks 3 weeks after and I had to do something. So I was'nt looking for anything.
Avatar m tn I had protected anal sex 3 days ago with a guy who claims to be clean. The following day I went to the doctor and told him that the guy gave a blowjob without me having a condom on my penis. I'm so worried about HIV that I asked the doctor for PEP and he gave me Atripla for 30 days. I'm so scared! I keep reading that it's a low risk almost zero to get HIV from getting a blow job. Is this still true?
691935 tn?1421027090 I don't know for sure what the cost of the INF/Riba alone was but I was told that the total cost of my 6 months of tx and post tx tests would be in the range of $75,000 and that was 10 years ago. The global market doubling to $9 billion by 2015 seems rather low. Then again tx costs in other countries may be much lower. Does anyone know the actual cost of just the drugs in today's dollars?
Avatar m tn hello there,we're on thesame regimen.i recently changed from sustiva to norvir, truvada and reyetaz.i've been on this for 8months now but no s/e.i had uti once, but that's about it.what was ur cd4 count before u got on the meds?
Avatar f tn t know what the new meds will cost yet. Any and all information is appreciated! (I have never treated before, geno 1a, stage 2.5 fibrosis). Also, as a side question, any information on getting treatment in Canada would be helpful. My husband has dual citizenship and I'm wondering if that might be an option for me. Thanks!
Avatar f tn He did not ejaculate inside me, however it was unprotected. Later today I saw in his cabinet the medication atripla which I found out is for the treatment of HIV. I have not been able to discuss my finding with him as of yet, but I'm very very concerned. I went to a late operating clinic that advised me to see a specialist. However, Im curious as to the prophylaxis meds and how they work. Could someone help me on what I should do next?
