Well, Strattera is "Classified as a norepinephrine (noradrenaline) reuptake inhibitor, atomoxetine is approved for use in children, adolescents, and adults. However, its efficacy has not been studied in children under six years old.
* Stimulant medications, such as dextroamphetamine-based drugs (Adderall, Vyvanese) and methylphenidate-based drugs (Concerta, Daytrana, Ritalin). They are also available as generics.

I was diagnosed with ADHD 9/9 in March this year by a phsyciatrist at a harley street in London(remotley)
I tried stimulants dextroamphetamine and listamphetamin but they didn't agree with me. I was then prescribed atomoxetine. I took these for 4 weeks- start with 10mg then 20mg then 40mg and called my harley phsyciatrist as I was running out.
There definately is a difference between Ritalin and Adderall. Adderall is stronger. For instance, if a person is on 30mg of Adderall and wants to switch to Ritalin,..you will need aprox. 50 to 60mg of Ritalin to be equivelant to the 30mg of Adderall. I am on 60mg of Adderall daily. I wanted to try Ritalin again just for the heck of it. I have shown proof from reliable sources, to my Doc that he needs to give me MORE than 60mg Ritalin for it to be effective as 60mg Adderrall.
Hey, I've just been diagnosed with ADHD and I'll be taking Atomoxetine. It's the non - stimulant type, I was thinking the stimulant form of medication would suit me better with such as an Amphetamine based one. I was a user on speed awhile ago and when I was on I felt established, in control, I could concentrate and express my inteligence.
When I read you were adding adderall I felt compelled to relay my experience. Adderall is basically legalized speed. Do yourself a favor and try all other options before turning to adderall. I was addicted to adderall. I just finished physical withdrawals and now I'm dealing with phychatric withdrawals. This drug is sold on the streets and you might find yourself needing more and more in order for it to work. Just be careful!
Vyvanse is metabolized differently, so could last longer in your system. It was done so you could not snort it like you can with Adderall. Adderall gives a stronger first "hit". V is smoother and takes longer to take effect so may not be as noticeable. Also the Dose of V should be 30mg compared to 10mgs of adderall XR to be somewhat equal.

not personal experience with adderall....but it is normal to feel fatigue with adderall wd...it is not life threatening and for the most part it is a mental wd vs narcotics being both/mental and physical...the fatigue is common among narc wds as both drugs supply extra endorphins to the brain//many feel fatigue after narcotic cessation to be a physical symptom like the runs...but it is a result of taking endorphins away and waiting on the brain to "catch up" on endorphin production....
what are your thoughts on Adderall ir how many mg should a person adult I must say take per day is 90 mg a solid dose for a heavy person?
A friend of mine is prescribed to Adderall 20mg XR, as am I. After a few weeks she felt as if the drug was not working. She opened one of her capsules and found that it looked as if it was sugar inside, as well as tasted like sugar. She did so for 5 capsules and they all contained the same sugar-like substance. It looked completely different from the medicine which a few of her other adderall 20 mg XR capsules in her prescription consisted of.
I am also taking Adderall 20mg, once when I wake up, and 10mg about 4 hours later, and another 10 mg later, if needed, but seldom take the last one. After talking with doc briefly, he decided to let me swap over to Temazepam from Trazodone. I know I shouldn't just stop trazodone, but I did, which of course is making it worse when I am trying to sleep. First, about 5 days ago, doc had me double my trazodone, took 100mg.
I know what you mean when you refer to Adderall as "that nasty, gross stimulant." I have been taking a total of 30 mg Adderall for about 6 mths now. It works great during the day, and has changed my life tremendously. I am able to complete the 200 projects that I start on everyday. But insomnia has made me it's ***** at night! If I could guess what a crack head feels like when coming down, the Adderall "comedown" would compare to it.

I am currently taking Atomoxetine – a medication used to treat ADHD in adults. I take 40mg once daily in the morning and it really helps me to concentrate better and function the way I need to etc…
One of the main issues I have is the effect it has on my penis and testicles.
Hi. There is no current study that prohibits Atomoxetine (Strattera) users to take creatine supplements. However, caution should be made when taking supplements, since both drugs can alter kidney function and cause urinary symptoms (e.g. stones, dysuria) when not taken properly. Basically to start with, I already have a low sperm count caused by epididymitis. I went for a fertility test and got the following results:
Appearance: Normal
Liquification: Abnormal
Viscosity: Abnormal
pH: 8.0
Volume: 0.5 mL
Motility (Progressive): 28.50%
Motility (Non-Progressive): 62.00%
Motility (Immotile): 28.50%
Vitality Vital: 37.65%
Vitality Dead: 62.35%
Morphology: Normal - 3.40%
Sperm Concentration 24.3 Million per mL
Total Sperm Count: 12.
Provagil helps but not with driving. Ritalin, adderal not helping with that yet. Still testing for Hypersomnia vs Narcolepsy. Repeat sleep study showed very little Apnea but still some PLM's. I also have some neurological symtoms going on for past few years some new ones have shown up. How often or can Sleep Apnea and PLM's be caused by MS. My concintration has gotten worse as well as my ability to multi task at work.
I began taking adderall for studying my freshman year at college. Then I got a pretty nice prescription for them in October 2008 but did not take nearly as much as I was prescribed. But now I have built up quite a dependency on them. Before I would take 20mg XR a day early in the morning to study alll day then 30 now 40mg XR which is also beginning to lose its effects. I am currently an undergraduate and will be taking the MCAT on September 4th.
Recently diagnosed with adult adhd. I was put on 20mg vyvanse about 3 months ago. Since then I have titrated up to 60mg in the am and a 10mg 100% d-amp "booster" around 2pm.. After about two weeks on this I felt over stimulated so I told my Dr. and he changed me up. Reduced me back to 40mg Vyvanse in the am and because I said the 100% d-amp (realizing that is in effect what Vyvanse is after it cleaves) was making me too jittery switched me to a new drug - Evekeo.
