ve been prescribed adderall for the past 4 years, I currently take 75mg per day. A couple months ago my Dr. started me on strattera in conjunction with my adderall. I have not noticed any improvement in my ability to concentrate or remain organized since starting the strattera, however my anxiety is gone and I am finally happy. A couple weeks ago my Dr. left and I was given a "temp" to take her place.

Strattera, Adderall XR, Vyvanse, and Daytrana are medications I have taken, my brother takes Concerta. Vyvanse and Adderall XR are the only meds I can take. I have a real sensitive stomach and immune system, and am allergic to a lot so I would think that you can handle most of these.

Wellbutrin is probably being used as a mood stabilizer or even as an antidepressant because of the addiction, Strattera is also used in the same fashion, but works in adults to help with ADHD as well. There are many options out there.

I take the minimal dose and find it works better than strattera. I usually take a 5mg in the morning and another 5mg around 1pm. I don't believe there is anything that is perfect though, but it definitely takes the edge off if you know what I mean.

Been on lexapro and adderall for about two years it has been much better then my last combo of wellbutren and litium. i have been off the adderall for a few months because i am a recovering addict and started well, always abused the adderall. so i tried the strattera for a week and did not notice any benefits just side effects plus it’s very expensive. i do know strattera needs to build up in your system to take effect but the side effects and price made me feel like there were better options. i called her today and told her this and that i am now off my suboxone. she then decided to write a script for wellbutrin because it’s cheaper?

So, taking more than 2 times a day am and noon is too much. You are not to take this druh in the pm but abusers do. The hours in your system are not enough to eliminatewe the drug before bedtime if taken in the PM. To Krissy 28-your friend is in big trouble-its prob.

15 yr old daughter was diag with adhd 2nd grade - although was family "joke" adhd long before. 1st on adderall with explosive behavior - had to try before could take straterra, insurance. Strattera was fine for sev yrs - although only limited imp - just enough to tolerate her. Problems with social interaction and her mouth - she's constantly argumentative and I believe ODD. After menstruation began, strattera appeared worthless.

I take my strattera before bed I wake up feeling normal and can focus. I don't know why they say to take it in the morning.

My son also could not take the Strattera due to side effects, but the side sffects are in the same category as SSNRI's. A lot of people just can't take them. Some have no problems. I am interested in the Provigil because he does well with stimulants. Hope negive finds this info useful too.

ve been prescribed 90mg of Adderall a day, Concerta 54mg (2 in AM and 2 after lunch), now Ritalin SR 20mg and take 2 tablets 3 times a day. And, I am addicted. I take 400 to 500mg of Ritalin a day and start having anxiety and panic attacks days before I run out, because I know how difficult the withdrawals are from not taking it. I've been to an addiction rehab center for it and spent 30 days there.

re having trouble with amphetamine-type stimulants, you should next try a methylphenidate-type stimulant. Ritalin would be in that class. I first tried Adderal XR with an Adderal boost in the afternoon, then Vyvanse and now I'm on Daytrana. It's a ritalin-type patch. It is very smooth, I don't have the muscle soreness, and it works great for my symptoms. Of course, everyone is different. People though tend to either respond better to amphetamines or methyphenidate.
