Ok, years ago... I was on marvelon (which i Just now remembered) And now I am in another country, I went to an OB for consultation because I need a contraceptive and she put me on diane 35. So I recently started on my first pack. I had a chat on the phone with my mom and she told me "Don't you remember Marvelon?.It worked wonders on you before." I alreay finished my first pack and I am on my 5th day of my pill free week.
For me I never took anything when it came to the pill up until 6 months before my first surgery and that was Marvelon. When I had my surgery Lupron was next then back to marvelon. For me Marvelon worked but for some it doesnt.
I think all of the meds are time sensitive. I take mine every single day as soon as I wake up. If I am late it seems to be okay but that is rare.
Visanne gave me chronic headaches.
When you took the BCP did you take it every single day with no stops?
As Stephen suggest, test your platelet count (you shall get results the next day) and calculate your APRI score:

If platelet count (APRI) is normal then you should repeat Fibroscan...but if platelet count is very low (APRI high) then I would go straight for biopsy...

After that period, I took about 4 of the pills before I decided to go off the pill for a few months, since my bf and I broke up months ago and I don't like taking medicine/hormones I don't need. Naturally, my period started again a few days after I stopped taking the pill, so maybe the beginning of August. Last week, I made a really stupid, stupid mistake and slept with my ex w/o protection.
This is my first month ever being on birth control and i'm on the 28-day pack pills called Apri. i started taking the last week the "reminder pills" 3 days ago and the way i understood it is that i'm supposed to get my period on the first day i took the reminder pills...could i be pregnant or is there something else wrong?

she is under 18 and she takes anti-biotics for her stomach she had her last period November the 1st and lasted till the 5th or 6th and her cycle is usually about 20-22 days,and its almost time for her perios now shez getting dimples pimples all over her face that usually happens before her period stomach pain and hard grown boobs like always and she tried to do epilation( remove hair from her body) and it was rly painfull she usually feels that pain when she tries it the days around her period

Okay. So. I've been on Marvelon 28 since November 2016. I take my pill religiously and have never missed one , ever. I take them at the same time everyday, maybe give it take an hour. I have 8 active pills (white) left to take until I start my sugar (green) pills, and last month my period started on my third green pill, and my period was normal. So, I've been having this dark brown discharge this afternoon, though this Morning it wasn't very dark.
ve been having a swollen belly for more than 3 weeks. It is My diet and lifestyle have not changed. I had a slight headache too. It feels like my body need caffeine, even though every morning I have a cup of tea as usual. I have no pain. My appetite has decreased a little bit. I did a urine and blood tests to check if i am ,somehow, pregnant, they came negative. My bladder become active than usual. I gained 1 kg.
I'm on a pregnant control bills for 2 months (Marvelon).
Lastly, I hate going on birth control because it kills my sex drive and makes me depressed. Prior to the surgery I was on Marvelon which did help regulate the pain but it made me miserable (have also tried Seasonale and Tricyclin Lo).
Has anyone else had experiences with endometriosis recurring? Was it gradual? I'm trying to decide if getting back on birth control is worth it because the pain was really debilitating.

I would try if anything to take a low dose BCP (I use marvelon) and take it everyday with no breaks. See if that helps with the pain. I am telling you those treatments are useless and I don;t understand why they are pushed because there are so many bad side effects and some of them permanent for some.
0.5 and 1.5. That is, an APRI score of less than 0.5 means no or very slight fibrosis, and an APRI score of more than 1.5 means cirrhosis. The intermediate scores approximate the intermediate fibrosis stages.
I have now calculated my APRI score for the seven blood tests done between 2006 and now, and the graph of the scores shows a steady progression from early to later stage fibrosis, which is apparently what has happened. That is, I'm a fast progressor (65 years old, geno 1b, etc.).

I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen. Initally did much better on this one so I'm not sure how yaz/yasmin works but I can say my withdrawal bleed "period" got way longer on it- I used to only bleed for 4 days on Aleese, then gradually this increased and due to weight gain and water retention switched to Yasmin...
