Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar m tn Abdominal pain) The pain may be minor at first, but it becomes more sharp and severe. Your appetite will be reduced and you may have nausea, vomiting, and a low fever. As the swelling in the appendix increases, the pain tends to move into your right lower abdomen. It focuses right above the appendix at a place called McBurney's point. This most often occurs 12 to 24 hours after the illness starts.
Avatar n tn I think I would take him to the ER if you are not able to see his physician. Someone should see him today.
Avatar m tn The typical presentation begins with periumbilical pain (pain around belly button) followed by anorexia (lack of appeitite) and nausea. The pain then usually localizes to the right lower quadrant as the inflammatory process progresses to involve the parietal peritoneum overlying the appendix. This classic pattern of migratory pain is the most reliable symptom of acute appendicitis.
Avatar f tn Does it hurt when you put pressure on it? It could be an ovarian cyst. I had one years ago that caused nausea and pain. Are you able to see a gyno to get it checked out soon? Another thought is that it could be IBS. Are there any medications that you've taken that seemed to help a little? Also, have you had fevers at all?
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...

Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. Avatar n tn I have a throbbing pain that comes and goes on my right side at the waistline. It just started about an hour ago but since it's quite sharp and I've never had it before, it's a little alarming. I'm thinking appendicitis, but I may be jumping to conclusions.
6785011 tn?1384780177 Hi, the symptoms you described could be due to appendicitis, that’s when you have pain on the right side just above the pelvis and you may also have referred pain around the umbilicus (belly button). The other symptoms for Appendicitis are fever, nausea, vomiting and malaise. It could also be a premenstrual symptom. The other causes for pain could be urinary tract infections, pelvic infections, renal colic and sometimes bowel infections.
Avatar f tn t a UTI and referred me to a gynecologist, who told me it actually was a UTI. I took the antibiotics but the pain started getting worse, with chills, nausea, back pain, fatigue, and pallor. My gynecologist then referred me to the ER (I looked so ill she was worried I would die in her office). The ER told me I had a kidney infection (they ran no tests) and gave me antibiotics.
Avatar n tn My 10yr old daughter has suffered from Chronic abdominal pain, nausea, and insomnia for over 3 years. She is not tired during the day, has lots of energy, I would say that at least two to three times a week she has the sudden onset of the abdominal pain and nausea, and will run a low grade fever, but always has insomnia, she rarely sleeps more than 4 hours a night. We have found no results from doctors, the closest thing that they have come to diagnosing is irritable bowel syndrome.
Avatar f tn I yelped out of pain. She said I might have appendicitis, and told us to go to the hospital to get a check up. We did, and they took blood tests and urine tests; It came out negative for appendicitis, but positive for UTI. The doctors gave me antibiotics for it, I took it religiously. Now, I still have this reoccurring pain on my stomach and abdomen area.

Avatar f tn For the last five days I have been having pains in my back, kidneys, right side, right side abdominal pain, pain near my belly button, pelvic pain, pain right next to my hip bone, headaches, and nausea. I'm still able to pass gas, and eat, walk and jump without pain, and when my stomach is pushed on there is no pain. I have been to the doctor multiple times for pains like these, I seem to get them each month.
Avatar n tn I've had a lot of stress and anxiety for 5 years now (I'm a teen) so I'm not that surprised when my intestines are doing weird stuff like roughly shifting my food around, giving me either constipation or diarrhea, waking me up in the morning because I need to go to the bathroom... But this evening I started having pain on the right side of my belly, a little higher than my bone but still pretty low.
Avatar n tn See your OB-GYN and a Gastroenterologist. With appendicitis the pain normally starts around your navel and will move to the right and down, or vise versa so I don't feel it's that. But you do have intestines in that area, your bladder, and these are worth checking out. It may also be referred pain from your ovaries or fallopian tubes. Good luck with this and take care.
727090 tn?1268839348 I had appendicitis almost 5 years ago. Mine was pretty fast so it may be different for others. I had just given birth a month earlier and was dozing in bed with him that morning (he nursed and we tended to fall asleep that way). I just remember feeling sick and nauseous. I got up and tried to eat a few saltine crackers and I immediately threw it up. I knew something was wrong. I felt shaky, sick and had a pain on my right side and over to my middle near my belly button.
Avatar f tn Three days ago, I saw a doctor for pains I was experiencing in my lower right abdomen. He took a pee-test, and the results showed that I had a few infectious cells. He told me that I was probably at the end of a stomach virus, but should be getting better. He told me that if the pain persisted, within two days, I should return to the clinic or to the ER, on account of it could be appendicitis. I am eighteen years old, broke, and under the care of my parents who refuse to return me to any doctor.
Avatar f tn I have lower abdominal pain, constipation, 99° temp, nausea, but no rebound pain. I’ve had this since saturday and it’s just getting worse. should i go to the doctor or just wait?
Avatar m tn my 16 year old daughter has been suffering on and off from severe pain under her right rib. A scan has revealed she has a bicornuate uterus could this cause the pain or is it just a coincidence?
Avatar n tn My 16 year old daughter was awakened yesterday with severe abdominal pain on her left side and nausea. She rated it a "10" and she is usually pretty pain tolerant. She continued to report pain levels at about an "8" or "9" despite being administered pain meds through her IV at the ER. The pain was worse when she coughed or if pressure was applied to the area. However if pressure was applied then released it was more painful after the release.
Avatar m tn Pls consult a Gastroenterologist to run some test and find out why you have pain & nausea. Skip milk & spicy food for a few days, it might help.
