Common Questions and Answers about Appendicitis nausea

appendicitis

Avatar n tn I have contact nausea and slight unsteadiness. I have had a CT of my head and a ECG of my heart to rule out anything extremely serious. At times the nausea gets soo bad i feel like i may faint. Also the pains in my abdomen seem to get worse when i eat or after a night out drinking. Then the pain gets very sharp and spreads to the left side and lower left of the back, i get hit by a sudden feeling of weakness and have to lie down.
Avatar n tn As far as I know, the most apparent symptom of appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) is a dull pain in the stomach on the right side, that moves to severe lower right abdominal pain. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/digestive-diseases-appendicitis The above website explains different symptoms that could accompany appendicitis.
Avatar n tn I think I would take him to the ER if you are not able to see his physician. Someone should see him today.
Avatar n tn I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
Avatar m tn It hurts to walk and I must sit down with great care, I have performed some of the tests for appendicitis such as lying supine with my right leg bent and pushing over to the left...this results in much pain. Having been an EMT for many years I understand this could be appendicitis, however, I am confused about the pain free lapses. I live in the middle of no where with poor hospitals about 2 and a half hours away.
Avatar f tn I also have difficulty passing gas and lately, for the past several weeks or so, light to mild nausea that comes and goes. I have only vomited once from horrible nausea, but that was at least over three weeks ago (or four) and I have not experienced anything as extreme since. I was just considering that maybe this would be a symptom of appendicitis, a rupture or potential burst?
Avatar m tn 4. Appendicitis goes with nausea, vomiting and raised leukocytes in the blood. Appendicitis is painfull at any time you press on area. Bouncing sign is present: lye down on the back and press deeply sopmewhere on your lower LEFT abdomen, then release the pressure quickly. In peritonitis or appendicitis you should feel a sharp pain on the LRQ area. Peritonitis would also show marked inflammation in the blood.
Avatar f tn From what I understand you usually have pain starting near the belly button and it moves the right side. You usually will have nausea, vomiting, poor appetite, fever, and chills. Were you able to be seen by a doctor for the pain since you posted? How are you doing now?

Avatar f tn Also, I talked to a girl in my class who had to have her appendix removed because of appendicitis, and I asked her what she experienced before she realised it was appendicitis. She told me, and while I am aware symptoms vary from person to person, I noticed I had all the signs she had, expect the pain had not moved to the lower right part of my abdomen.
Avatar f tn They started near my belly button then moved around my stomach. While at the hospital I had a blood test, and an ultrasound done to check for appendicitis. And everything came back normal. For the last five days I have been having pains in my back, kidneys, right side, right side abdominal pain, pain near my belly button, pelvic pain, pain right next to my hip bone, headaches, and nausea.
Avatar n tn My 10yr old daughter has suffered from Chronic abdominal pain, nausea, and insomnia for over 3 years. She is not tired during the day, has lots of energy, I would say that at least two to three times a week she has the sudden onset of the abdominal pain and nausea, and will run a low grade fever, but always has insomnia, she rarely sleeps more than 4 hours a night. We have found no results from doctors, the closest thing that they have come to diagnosing is irritable bowel syndrome.
Avatar f tn The pain first started at my appendix area. I had all the symptoms of appendicitis. I went to emergency and they ruled out appendicitis. I had Constipation, gastroenteritis and IBS. Now, the gastroenteritis is gone, but the rest isn't. I still have the same symptoms from the beginning. My appendix area feels bloated. It now hurts so bad, I have difficulty and pain standing, walking or even sitting. When pressed on the appendix area, it still feels pain.
Avatar f tn I have lower abdominal pain, constipation, 99° temp, nausea, but no rebound pain. I’ve had this since saturday and it’s just getting worse. should i go to the doctor or just wait?
Avatar f tn He told me that if the pain persisted, within two days, I should return to the clinic or to the ER, on account of it could be appendicitis. I am eighteen years old, broke, and under the care of my parents who refuse to return me to any doctor. I doubt I have appendicitis on account of my stomach has had pain for at least a week, and there's been no sign of any rupture.
Avatar f tn s been having temps and diarrhea loss of appetite headaches on and off the last week and a half she gets light head and nausea and now she has as she describes it "an aching pain" in her stomach on the right side next to her bellybutton What could be causing it and what should i do
Avatar n tn Normal bowel movements, no fever, no nausea no vomiting. I feel pressure in the area - not a painful pressure but sort of like something is pushing. When I push on the right side of my stomach i feel a swooshing almost like water. I'm away on business and very nervous this could be my appendix as treating it now is not really an option. Any advice? Does this sound like appendicitis?
