Avatar m tn According to the Food and Drug Administration, nasal spray formulations of Desmopressin (Noctiva, others) are no longer recommended for treatment of bed-wetting due to the risk of serious side effects. Again, however, I can't stress enough that your friend should be checked by the GP, as an adult , this can signal other issues that need fairly prompt attention.
4583567 tn?1360256847 I found these pills in my husbands drawer, maybe someone can help me with what they are, they are all white and long oval, some say APO | 1 and some say just N | 1, I know this is an addictions help and everything but I didmt know where else to ask! Avatar n tn my Apo B is 100 mg/dl. This is OK. My Aop A1 is 137 mg/dl. Should be>115. Ratio Apo B/Apo A1=0.73. Should be <0.77. My Lipoprotein (a) is 104 mmol/L (roughly 48 mg/dL). This is also OK. My Trigly~60, LDL-125, HDL - 50 All look good. Apo B is a new & a better marker than LDL Now this is the issue. My LDL p is 1750 and this is a kind of high (ideally <1250). Why such glaring difference?
Avatar n tn You need to go see an Endocrinologis soon could be Diabetes-Insuppidus. Controlled with a nasal spray called Desmopressin.
Avatar f tn t mention in your question what medication you were taking. Commonly central DI is treated with desmopressin. Desmopressin works by limiting the amount of water passed in the urine. I don't know why you would suddenly notice a decrease in your symptoms after 34 years. I would recommend making an appointment with your regular doctor to see what might be causing this. Until you can be seen, it is important that you remain aware of your fluid intake and output.
Avatar n tn talk to your doctor about desmopressin, it works.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am wondering if anyone knows the difference between apo-sertraline and pms-sertraline? I can't afford to purchase my prescription for pms-sertraline, my mom takes the apo version and gets her prescriptions for free under gov't funding. If there's a difference, I obviously won't take her meds but if it's the same thing I don't see the harm. Thanks!
Avatar n tn I have Headaches almost every day and Migraines about twice a week. Apo-Indomethacin and Pms-Sumatriptan was prescribed to me by my doctor. I am also on progesterin to help reduce the amount of headaches, I have been using nasal sprays as well. Month six, no change. Blood tests shows no diabetes, Thyroid, liver or kidney problems. I have been sleeping about 13-14 hours a day.

397118 tn?1219762250 If you google you can find the kind of drug, sorry I don't know what it is, however, I went thru the same thing with my daugher and was able to track down what type via the web. Just enter drug identification in the web search.
Avatar f tn I too have DI but i take desmopressin and hydrocortizone daily. I found if I break the 20mg desmopressin into quarters I do better. The 5mg just didn't seem to work for me. I take it morning and night and other than a 10lb weight gain I have not had any side affects. If I don't take enough I feel fatigued and if I take to much my weight goes up but when the dose was decreased the bulk of the weight came off. Have you tried other medications?
Avatar n tn today the consultant gave me tablets called desmopressin acetate. i understand they reduce urine amounts. will try but cant see them working well. Any new ideas or anyone with same prob please help.
Avatar f tn We decided to use a topical cream, for the more oily areas on my face, and for me to take a 100mg dosage of Apo-Minocycline two times a day (morning and night). This worked fantastic for a few months. Eventually, I developed this odd rash on one side of my neck. The skin was very red and dry, somewhat scaly/bumpy, a bit raised, uneven + about the size/shape of my thumb. It kind of itched/hurt as well. I wasn't sure if it was connected to my skincare or not, so I continued with my routine.
Avatar f tn An extensive discussion of all of the genetic tests performed is beyong the scope of this post. Briefly you have several lab results which are associated with a higher risk of heart disease including elevated Apo B greater than 90, elevated LDL >. and apo e genotype 3/4. The decision to treat you aggressively for CVD risk factors should be a mutual discussion between you and your physician based upon a mutual understanding of your goals for therapy.
Avatar n tn The patch makes me feel horrendous and I am thinking of stopping. I feel better off it than on it. So long as I have my nitro spray at all times am I safe to stop taking it.
Avatar f tn I am using maxitrol 4 x daily and apo-timop 2 x daily. For Years I occasionally had tears comming out of my right eye when I blow my nose ( before the surgery) I have never worried about it much and forgot to tell my ophthalmologist before the op. But now the eye is tearing constantly, Could i have an infection? or is to do with what I think was a blocked tear-duct. Should I give it more time to settle?
Avatar m tn Is there a medication for Diabetes Insipidus other than Desmopressin? The headaches as a side affect are dibilitating. This discussion is related to peuatrygland diabetts.
Avatar m tn Right now I'm on apo-escitalopram and apo-trazadone but I like zopiclone over the other one and I have some left over from a past prescription. Is it dangerous to make the switch?
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm a 25 year old male currently suffering with month long post-nasal drip, aswell as indigestion (usually belching after eating, and intermittent nausea which is sometimes worse at night). At first, i had a dry cough for about one week that slowly began to produce yellow phlegm in my throat after eating.
Avatar m tn DDAVP, Stimate, Minirin) is a synthetic replacement for vasopressin, the hormone that reduces urine production. It may be taken nasally, or as a tablet. Lack of the hormone vasopressin is more common in men than in women. Typically, those that do not produce enough will "correct" by the end of puberty (19-25 years old for men). Check with your urologist about the possibility of this treatment. Best of luck.
