My Dad was recently put on oxycontin- short term- for hip pain. He is having surgery next week. My Mom called telling me that Dad was having to concentrate on his breathing, was dizzy and having problems concentrating. I told her to bring him to the hospital. I will be leaving to meet them but I thought that these were all signs of a overdose. I really haven't had these signs when I was abusing so I am not sure. Can anyone enlighten me?

What are your current thyroid hormone levels? Be sure to post reference ranges with results, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. You should be getting tested periodically for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. Do you have other symptoms of over medication, such as weight loss, diarrhea, tremors, etc. Do you have Hashimoto's?
So i come back to get him, he signs release forms and i take him home. He randomly with have a hard time breathing just for a few seconds and keeps grinding his teeth, and hasnt slept all night on top of still recoverying from the drinking. He had a rather bummer ecounter regarding his ex and stuff that same night which im sure added to the total situtation.

Have you had a follow up blood test to monitor your dosage change to 50mcg? It certainly sounds like hyper symptoms to me, but you should be monitored closely and tested with any dosage change. Call your doc and describe your symptoms and ask why you haven't been tested to check the effectiveness of your new dosage change. You should have been tested at 6 weeks!
not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. In an opiate tolerant person such as myself using doses of said drugs orally, what are the chances of accidental overdose? I have read that it is difficult for an opiate tolerant person to have a dangerous overdose unless they take extremely high doses.

For the last 3 months I have had terrible itching all over my body, particularly my on my stomach, thighs and bum. It started with just feeling slightly itchy and I figured it was just dry skin or a bug bite. Then it got worse to the point where I have trouble falling asleep and also wake up in the morning because of it. Physical signs are very mild.
