Avatar m tn Hello, We are very sorry to hear about your friend but are glad you were there for them. We want to confirm that you have called an ambulance and they have received medical care. Tylenol is toxic to the liver as you know but hopefully he will be alright. He's indeed taken a dangerous amount. Please let us know how he is doing. We wish you and your friend the best.
Avatar n tn I don't know about an overdose, but taking more than you are supposed to can cause sleep walking, but in my case it was sleep driving. It is very dangerous and you should not play around with it. I HATE AMBIEN!!!
Avatar n tn How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
666921 tn?1254990618 I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it
Avatar f tn I just take one prenatal vitamin a day. I think it is possible to overdose vitamins, and esp. too much vitamin A and iron can be dangerous in pregnancy. Others, like vit. C or follic acid are water soluble, which means you will pee out the excess amounts. Definitely ask your dr. about it! You may want to check the ingredients on both, add up how much of each vitamin you're taking and then look up what dosages are dangerous.
Avatar f tn t be using it. It can make you very sick. If you overdose on cocaine, you can damage your brain permanently or die of an overdose. I know what I have told you many sound harsh, but I believe in telling the truth. Knowledge is power. In your case, the power to know that you should not be using this highly addictive and dangerous drug.
Avatar n tn Acetaminophen is metabolized by the liver. Doses of acetaminophen greater than the recommended doses are toxic to the liver and may result in severe liver damage. In other words, perhaps the 'hollow headedness' is due to liver reaction from large dose of acetaminophen. Best wishes!
Avatar n tn I got up to 150mg of the Lamictal after 7weeks. I had a dangerous and deadly reaction to the Lamictal. I was told to stop it suddenly. My life has been a disaster ever since. I feel I was better before I took all of this stuff. I have been suicidal due to the sudden stop of the meds. Last Saturday i tried to kill myself. I took 90mg of klonopin and about 45mg of inderal. I awoke about 6 hrs. later. I then fell and hit the back of my head and was unconcious for a short time.
Avatar m tn Spasmo Proxyvon is the United States equivalent to Darvocet or Darvon. Chemical name being Propoxyphene. This is typically a dangerous medication to begin with as the effective dose for treating pain is also very close to the potentially lethal dose. With this in mind it is EXTREMELY important to seek medical attention for your friend IMMEDIATLEY. DO NOT wait any longer. This medicine would be the last i would ever want to accidentally overdose on.
Avatar f tn The insult leads to permanent injury or severe complications when the dosage of Acetaminophen exceeds 7,000mg in a single dose or greater than 4,000mg/24 hours over an extended period of time (6,000mg spread over 24 hours is enough to cause harm in some patients but usually it takes this amount of Acetaminophen daily for days-weeks to cause harm in most patients).

Avatar n tn So I had to think fast cause I know this is a dangerous drug. Called the parmacy and they put me thru to poison control. They told me to go to the ER immediately and asked what hospital I was going to and a bunch of questions. So I got to ER and they took me right away. Poison control called them and told them to administer charcoal and monitor me for 4 hours. The charcoal was a drink and I took a sip of that god awful stuff and a sip of coke till I got it down.
Avatar m tn I have read that it is difficult for an opiate tolerant person to have a dangerous overdose unless they take extremely high doses. I know everyone is different, but what would it really take for someone with a tolerance (let's say a single dose of 50mg hydrocodone or 40mg oxycodone simply makes them comfortable) who doesn't IV to have a dangerous overdose when taking only a full opiate agonist? Thank you.
Avatar n tn First you need to stay on antihistamine until it is gone. Benadryl is great stuff. You should see a GP or allergist doctor. You definitely had a reaction to that sting and are still having it. Sounds like the ER ruled out anaphylaxis but you did have Benadryl in you so that I'm not sure about the results. Just stay on antihistamine on schedule to prevent something worst.
Avatar f tn I feel okay now just a bit anxious, I will definitely not being doing it again, I never knew how dangerous it could be.
Avatar f tn I was told it was pupps and was given a prescription for an antihistamine and some cream. The cream burns when I apply it and the antihistamine I am uncomfortable taking as it says not to take the in the 3rd trimester on the information. But without it I get so itchy what do I do?
Avatar n tn When should I expect the reaction to subside. Could it reach the point of becoming dangerous? Please offer your thoughts.
Avatar m tn I will be so thankful if everything comes out right, and even if I am overreacting - after learning how dangerous Tylenol can be and that it is the leading OD case, I literally saw my life flash before my eyes. One possibility my brother mentioned was that I vomited because of the Vodka, so I didn't have time to process the Tylenol. I'll look at the alcohol forum, but I'm so committed to only have 2-3drinks on special occasions from now on.
Avatar f tn You might need to ask your Doctor about those medications, but it sounds like a withdrawal from a binge, just like any substance if you binge for days straight and just stop your going to have to let your body go back to normal and most of the time it doesn't feel good. If you feel flu like that's normal and you should read some posts on how to ease w/d's .If your in pain or you feel something isn't right definitely call a doc.
