Read up on bed bugs and I don't think that is the answer either. Do you have any suggestions? Could it be baby spider bites??? Mites cause several forms of allergic diseases, including hay fever, asthma and eczema and also aggravates atopic dermatitis. They are usually found in warm and humid locations. Avatar n tn I have a series of insect-looking bites on the back of my knee. They have been there for over a week and are quite itchy. Each bite has a central ***** mark, like a beesting, and is swollen like a big misquito bite. The skin on top of each bite is dry and flaky (new today) and the skin around the cluster of bites is getting dark, like a slight bruise. I suspect that I was bitten by a spider while asleep. There was never any pain or stinging, just a lot of itching.

Because the bites can be mistaken for those of other insects or other skin problems, your doctor will need to rule out fleas, body lice and scabies before determining a diagnosis of bedbugs.

Avatar n tn For the last couple weeks, I've been getting continuous insect bites. I shower daily and wash my clothing regularly, so I have no idea where this is coming from, and they appear throughout the day. Shortly after the bites started appearing, I spent a week visiting my boyfriend in another city.
