Avatar n tn My husband has big bites on his inner thigh, penis, and just under his scrotum. They are itchy and painful. Not mosquito bite. Could it be spider bites. Read up on bed bugs and I don't think that is the answer either. Do you have any suggestions? Could it be baby spider bites??? Avatar m tn I have about 20-30 itchy red bumps that appear like mosquito bites after a run last night. These cannot be mosquito bites since my feet were covered, but look and itch similarly. A few weeks ago I was on vacation in FL and had the same issue, but the bumps & itchiness started going away within 3-4 days. I'm sure the same will happen this time, but need to know what is causing this issue? Thanks for any thoughts.
Avatar f tn They all dont always itch but its driving me crazy having random mosquito like bites around me. We checked everywhere for bed bugs turned the house upside down and found NO trace. I have a cat and found no fleas on him. I also thought it could be a roach bite/bites? i have seen them in the home before but i would think having random bites pop up every once in a while i'd see SOMETHING on me? HELP!!!!
Avatar m tn Hello, From your symptoms these can be due to viral rashes, allergies, insect bites or folliculitis skin. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can be used but may cause drowsiness. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Application of calamine lotion also helps. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Hello, Using the antihistaminics and the calamine lotion, the redness should go away in a few days. Yes a person can be allergic to mosquito bites or insect bites as well and in such cases, even a single insect bite can cause itching and swelling. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn So.. I'm 15. I've recently been getting bumps, that look like over-grown mosquito or chigger bites, right next to my "area." I hope you know what I mean. They itch, kind of, and they're kind of dry. No liquid, except for a clear light liquid, comes out of one of them. They really do just look like mosquito bites, but I'm SO scared that it could be something much worse. I don't know how else to desribe them. PLEASE help!
Avatar m tn This really sounds like hives to me. My husband gets these from allergies and they look like lots of mosquito bites or something on his skin. If you have trouble with allergies that's probably why. If not, you might get tested for allergies. Either way, you should see a doctor if any rash persists.
Avatar f tn I have bumps that look exactly like mosquito bites. But it will appear anytime day or night, It's been going on for almost one month. They pop a few not too much. Avatar f tn In the past few weeks I have started notices tiny red spots on my skin that mildly itch. They are smaller than mosquito bites, and are appearing on all parts of my body but there aren't a large amount of them. I figured it's not bug bites since there are not clusters or a large quantity, and they don't get bigger or worse as i scratch them.
Avatar f tn Just 4days ago i noticed my skin was itchy but i did not attend to it i thought it was mosquito bites or something until 2days later when i realized that i was getting small bumps after i scratch. These bumps are not red and don't have pus.I Am kind of worried because this is my first time and i don't have allergies.I have them on my arm,leg and a few on my face.I have no idea what this can be and i want to know if am ok?

Avatar f tn First it started with small red bumps like small mosquito bites on my neck and then my neck started turning red as it started to spread. It is very itchy and has a burning sensation. I think it might be some kind of allergic reaction. Does anyone know what this could be and when will it go away?
Avatar m tn I believe it may be a allergic reaction to something or moquito bites. But I do not think it is mosquito bites anymore because it has been five days. I used Hydrocortisone Cream USP 2.5% and a All Day Allergy pill 10 mg. The pill seems to be helping as I feel better. But I can't help scratching it. It is on my arms, legs, back, upper chest, and ears. But I am still not sure if it is getting better. Please help ASAP!
7552339 tn?1391962184 It sounds like Shingles. Acyclovir might help. Shingles usually start with a rash and a tingling sensation on the skin. Later one usually gets severe pain under the skin area where the pimples are. You might want to see a doctor about the rash. If it is shingles you will need the anti-viral and possibly some pain meds. It is called Herpes Zoster and comes from having had chicken pox when you were a kid.
Avatar f tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be due to contact dermatitis or insect bites. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. Avatar n tn You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Application of calamine lotion also helps in soothing the skin. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding. Please take a second opinion from a dermatologist if the symptoms persist.
1460021 tn?1445735958 I'm guessing that would be "mosquito bites" Sara. Here in the US, it's benadryl that is the magic bullet for allergies.
Avatar f tn They are on the areas least likely for them to be hives. The best description is that they look like big nasty mosquito bites. I have been getting them for atleast 6 months. what could they be?
Avatar f tn My boyfriend has a red rash which has been progressively spreading and getting worse the past 2 weeks. At first we thought they were mosquito bites. They started off on his right tricep, and have spread up his arm to his shoulder, as well as his right side of his neck. Some are now appearing on his hands, buttock and ankle, and his left tricep. We saw a doctor who said it was shingles and gave him anti viral medication, but he has been taking these a week and the rash has continued spreading.
