How long can i use antihistamine for my daughter aged 7 months to relieve her of the eczema itching.
I take hydroxyzine for anxiety. Its a antihistamine and also helps with my insomnia. However I only take it when needed because it is unknown how it affects fetal development. I also started seeing a mental health counselor for my PTSD and other anxiety disorders.
Hi, my dermatologist has prescribed me a antihistamine for my itching and wants me to use it for 4-6 weeks. The med is called hydroxzine. I am concerned because i never heard of anyone using antihistamine for that long. Will this severly affect my liver? Please help!
Since then I have avoided taking any antihistmaines except for Benadryl. I did take an occasional Claritin but it seems like every time I did anything I break out more. My allergist told me to try Claritin tabs instead of gel caps but I took one after having my allergy shot and I broke out in hives again. Now all the pollen is out and my eyes are really itchy and red and I have a hard time seeing at work. I tried taking Atarax last night to see if that would help more than Benadryl.
not life or death type allergies, but sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, headaches. I take a one a day antihistamine to deal with it. .. but it says on the box not to take if pregnant. Im only 7 weeks, and have stopped taking them... but my allergies are horrible at the moment. All the sneezing is not helping with my morning sickness. During my last pregancey my symptoms actually went away but not this time... my question is can i take my antihistamine?
t your doctor give the two most obvious choices of medication for anxiety to you? Will he refuse valium too? Popular third one. Anti-depressants are for depression. It is something a little different, as are the tablets. They are to bring you up if feeling down. Anxiety meds bring you down, to relax you. Some anti-dpressants can make anxiety sufferers feel a whole lot worse. So be careful with your choice.

I did this so much that eventually it just went away. Also, chew gum. I have no idea why, but that helped me immensely!
DSM-IV does not classify medications. Coricidin is an antihistamine, not a mental health medication.
thanks for the reply, yes i googled that before messaging and the only one it shows is Seldane, because of the problem with this antihistamine and that it had been taking off the market (not a newer antihistamine), i wanted to know of any other antihistamines?
are there no others for enlarged prostate sufferers?
2nd question is after stopping the intake of antihistamine that effect the prostate, woiuld these be a short term effect and the prostate goes back to how it was?
Okay, I don't know anymore. I thought I had a yeast infection I was given medicine by the doctor. I only used the Miconazole Nitrate Cream from Monistat 1 and started feeling extremely aroused in my clitoris to the point where it hurt. The doctor prescribed Monistat 3 the arousal still didn't go away but it wasn't as strong. I took antihistamine (allerergy pills) the arousal went away.
If you use an antihistamine thinking it's an allergy when indeed it's really a heart problem, the antihistamine can make the heart worse, so you must get a diagnoses before you treat.....
Licking air is usually Nausea or acid reflux....Post nasal drip normally causes a cough...Good luck & let us know what you find out....
Hi. I am a 21 yr old female who has been suffering from anxiety my whole life. For the past four months i have been in constant anxiety mode. I have tried every antideppressant possible all of them being to sensitive for me. I realize when i get a good sleep my anxiety is gone, but i havent been sleeping in months. Whenever i fall asleep i feel so anxius and wake right back up panicing.
Took for 1week 5mg desloratadine after my ivf. transfer. Started the antihistamine day 6 after embryo transfer without thinking or consulting the dr.(i always took it during pregnancy and thought its safe but never at such an early stage of pregnancy). Tested positive BHCG day8 after transfer +hcg22 day11+hcg53 day16 hcg56 day18 dropped hcg36. Can the reason of miscarriage be the use of antihistamine ? can antihistamine stop implantation from continuing ?
Ryan, you and I touched base quite sometime back. I was taking Gabapentin for anxiety which wasn't doing any good. Since then I have changed psychiatrist. She has put me on Klonipin I am now up to .05 in the am and .25 in the pm, seems to be helping, but still am having some anxiety issues. She says that I cannot stay on this long term which I feel bad about as I have had little to no side effects. She says that it's not good for long term use.

So I had a reaction to Unisom which caused several severe side effects one night, I called the emergency number and got taken to emergency room. They asked me some questions, I was in a lot of distress. I had a resting heart rate of around 170 when I went in, and around 140 for the next few hours. Among that, dry mouth, constant muscle spasms. I was very confused, I remember being asked if I'm stressed out at work.
In week 6 again i was feeling itchy on hand , neck, behind ear but all resolved with antihistamine medication. I must admit i had lot of anxiety for all 6 weeks. None of these rash were on chest, under arm or on back. Can you please advise what is chance of 27 day duo missing possible infection ?
