1722607 tn?1335747858 I wanted to know the names of different medications that might be prescribed during treatment. Names of rescue drugs, anti nausea drugs, or any others that may be given during treatment. I want to look them up thru my insurance to see how much they will cost me if needed. Just trying to budget how much treatment could end up costing.
Avatar f tn 5HTP or SAMe are naturopath alternatives to the prescribed anti-depressants. If you are looking at taking these you should still be monitored by a Naturopath Dr. There are differences between the two and someone in that field would be the best person to assess which one would be right for your symptoms. I'm not sure if there would be any contradictions with 5HTP and diazepam as you shouldn't take 5HTP if you are already on an anti-depressant.

(These days, it's only available in Canada under the name Dicletin.
Avatar f tn You can usually take Tylenol based products, but I would definitely check with your doctor first (they usually provide a list of approved medicines). You want to be careful during your first trimester with taking medicines though, so if possible, see if you can do without. If not, have your doctor make a recommendation.
Avatar m tn thanks for the reply, yes i googled that before messaging and the only one it shows is Seldane, because of the problem with this antihistamine and that it had been taking off the market (not a newer antihistamine), i wanted to know of any other antihistamines? are there no others for enlarged prostate sufferers? 2nd question is after stopping the intake of antihistamine that effect the prostate, woiuld these be a short term effect and the prostate goes back to how it was?

Avatar f tn There are many other name brands for that class of medicine. Astepro is a nasal spray antihistamine. It stops the sinus cells from reacting to allergens. There are only two meds in this category. Astepro and Patanase. There is an older version of Astepro called Astelin which may stil be available to you, but the company is working to phase it out. Also a prescription strength antihistamine like Allegra might be a good idea. Feel better and hang in there.

For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
