You need antibiotics for that. I got Bv when I was 25 wks. I med is nasty but you need to take it. It won't clear up on its own.

As doc suggest that you should wait because earlier I was treated for other bacteria as well for 10 days on antibiotics.

Is there a possibility that you've developed a secondary yeast infection due to the antibiotics? It's a pretty common to have that happen, and symptoms can be similar.

That happens when you have bacteria infection and antibiotics are prescribed. Tell your doc so he can now give you meds for the yeast.

So I am 12+5 weeks and just received a call from my Dr saying that I have a bacterial infection. I went to the doctor and had a swab done after having, a greenish heavy discharge and itching. It came back negative for a bacterial infection or chlamydia. It has cleared up somewhat, but I asked my doctor how I should continue to treat it and she put me on an antibiotics because the test they did "doesn't test for everything". I am hesitant to take antibiotics if I don't need to as they will interfere with other meds I'm on.

Im guessing its a yeast infection. The antibiotics they put you on for BV can cause yeast infections. I have had BV three times so far with this pregnancy. I up my yogurt intake dramatically when Im on the antibiotics and luckily haven't had a yeast infection.

there are so many creams out there. if it was a fungal infection, see your doctor for antibiotics and try not to freak out like me lol.

Mine was treated with a pill taken orally

Four days ago I finished antibiotics for cervisitis, vaginosis, and a fungal infection, no I am having a burning, itchy, brown clumpy discharge. My question is, Why are the symptoms occuring after and what could this be?

See an ophthalmologist or optometrist. Might not be an infection. Or could be a viral infection that antibiotics don't kill.

im 34 weeks and found out today I have Bacterial vaginosis and was given antibiotics. Anyone else had this?

Well I laid it off as a bacterial infection, because everyone told me if he had used them or not, I could not get the disease that way. I have never had sex, so it can not be an STD then, and I have never had these symptoms before. The symptoms seemed to have eased up since I first had the infection, but they have not gone away, even with 2 whole weeks of 2 a day Clindamycin.
