Several months ago i started to have a mild acne on my forehead, I did some exams and came out positive for staph aureus infection and staph epidermidis in two different labs. I took a treatment with antibiotics called ofloxacin 400 mg for ten days, my tests showed to be sensible to this drug. During the treatment the acne almost vanished but after i stopped it the situation was as bad as always.

Since you are having staph infection, so if your girlfriend has been diagnosed with staph infection then chances are there that the infection got transmitted during physical contact like sexual contact or skin to skin contact. It is very surprising that the infection has not shown much results with antibiotics, In such cases, it is advisable to get the culture sample from the sores and a biopsy skin done which will confirm the diagnosis.
My wife has a staph infection she had to be admitted in to the hosp. She's on antibiotics throuh iv. Night she bumped the sore by acceident and puss came out and she is more pain than before is this a good thing that it is draining?

It can be due to folliculitis caused by staph, acne, pityrosporum folliculitis caused by fungal infection and sebaceous cysts. Treatment for all are different. It can vary from antibiotics for staph and bacterial infection , antifungals for pityrosporum folliculitis to excision for sebaceous cysts.
You should get it evaluated from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

I have been on antibiotics for six days for a nasil staph infection now the bridge of my nose is tingling.the pain is all gone but I still have a small opening inside my nose and it is still red inside and it swells and then the swelling goes down through out the day. Why is my nose tingling?
Hi all--this is the first time I've been on this forum, but I need some advice with a staph infection I've had for 3 weeks. I woke up with what looked like an ingrown hjair with a whitehead under my arm 4 saturdays ago--by evening my armpit was swollen. The next day i new I had a problem, I was guessing MRSA, which I had 3 years ago because of how quickly it got so swollen.
Started on iv Cefa in a Pikk line 3 times daily for 6 wks. It was a non resistant Staph, still sensitive to Cefa. Off antibiotics for 2 weeks, inflammatory markers were normal. Slides taken during the revision when they replaced the metal implants on Jan 12 '10 showed less than one WBC per high power field. Three weeks later(Feb 5), had a draining tract out my incision with copious amounts of pus. Cultured to be a non resistant Staph again.
As the doctors diagnosed a staph infection and prescribed antibiotics before a skin scraping was taken, depending on how many days they have been on the antibiotics and if they were prescribed the correct one, the skin scraping may not show any bacteria now.
If the 2 brothers got the rash after swimming at the pool, it may be a reaction to the chemicals in the water.
Then after that the boils kept returned and I did some research on the internet and was pretty with it was a staph infection, then I got tested by the doctors and while they were kinda vague, was apparently a staph infection in my nose.

The antibiotics I was given for the staph are a tad skeptical, it's a lower dose and strength of antibiotics I previously had been on for 5 years on and off... and was on them when I was "diagnosed" with staph several months ago... So I'm a tad confused on that one.
The second round of antibiotics seem to have worked for the staph though the area feels sore from time to time and my GP's advice of drinking more water increased my urine stream some though it did not make the constant need to urinate ease as if anything it has worsened including impacting my sleep. Due to being in my 20s my GP said prostate problems would be unusual so no prostate exam was performed(I didn't complain).
