Im an animal lover to but i dont let mysleep with me because they destroyed my bed and torn my babyz bassinet and i deffinitly dont want them destroying my crib

However I wanted to see what other mommies thought. Since moving into a townhouse that does not allow dogs/cats.. and being the animal lover I am.. I'm desperately wanting a small caged animal. I'm considering getting Gerbils, they same reasonabley easy to handle (I've owned hamsters, guinea pigs, hedge hog). I know you aren't suppose to change cat litter when pregnant. Didn't know if anyone knew about anything else with pregnancy and animals..

My ferret has never nipped or bitten humans or animals. She is a female and females are more docile. They need to be socialized-held and played with often. They are great pets. She is so loving sleeps with her "babies" her stuffed animal she tucks in at night and cleans. She often climbs into bed w/us in the middle of the night and sleeps between my legs. She is tray/paper towel trained.

Having and caring for pets is healthy for both, the owner and the animal. The animals have unconditional love for their owner. I believe in having animals and pets. I don't think they should come before humans, nor do I think they should be abused. Much less taught to fight like the Pitbulls and Cockfighters. That to me is abusive and degrading for money. If I would ever see either one, I would definitely report it.

I've always been a huge animal lover! My cat and dog have been like my children for years now. This is my first pregnancy, and in about 3 and a half months, I'll birth two baby girls. My boyfriend wants me to get rid of my animals beforehand. This is extremely hard for me. I mean, I want to compromise, but at the same time, I know that it'll be hard to afford twins and pets. She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.

I know here in Texas that individuals are allowed to keep wild and exotic animals. This should be outlawed. No individual should be allowed to keep these beautiful animals. Their numbers in the wild dwindle every year. Due to poachers and those who trap the babies for "pets". Most of these "pets" cannot be returned to the wild and some of the conditions that some live in are beyond horrendous. Wild animals belong in the wild.

My nephew will be 4 in January since he was 2 he has been tormenting his pets. It has gotten really bad over the past week where he is now beating them with things and also punching them. Both of the pets are clearly afraid of him and my sister is at her wits end. She has tried time outs, separating them and even taking some of his favorite things from him all of which does not work. Yes I'm sure the poor thing is injured and depending on if something is broken or internally bleeding, it could be very serious if it doesn't heal right or if an infection develops because it could be fatal. You don't know whether your dog is ok either because he could have developed an infection and could be dying. Only a vet could tell you for sure.

Til this day, they are great with both my children, but are never left alone or unattended with either. An animal is an animal no matter how much you may love or trust them, they can snap in a second.

m a landlord and we do allow pets but it costs 25 dollars extra per pet a month with an extra pet deposit upon moving in and we limit pets to 2 tops. The reason is because even though I am an animal lover, they are messy. As the feline coughs, she leaves behind some pellets apparently from coughing so hard and if it continues she may return the animal to the shelter. Is there something homeopathic to try? Its just so hard for pets to be adopted out at shelters I just want to suggest something.
