She has 26 animals 11 outside big unfriendly dogs that only she can interact with which is ok, 6 inside little dogs and 6 or7 inside cats now she lives in older 2 bedrroom 2 bath trailer which is fine but once you walk in door all you smell is cat pi$$ awful and her house is a plum mess something you would see on tv hoarders that bad. She loves her animals and takes care them but not house.

Was watching one of those sort of horridly-fascinating shows last night on TV that is about hoarders, except this one is about pet hoarders. They visited a couple's house who had 24 cats. The vet who was talking to the couple and she went into the room where the catboxes were, and commented on the smell, and she had handheld meter that she set down on the floor. It measured ammonia in the air.

s parents are hoarders and I've never been to their house but our daughter has. She's 3 years old. We have a little boy on the way and I just don't know if I want my kids going over there especially if I'm not allowed to.. Idk how bad the situation is and I know my husband is embarrassed. I've never talked to my in laws about it. They make me uncomfortable as is. I have been distant from them for the last couple months. They haven't seen us in a couple months...

I just caught Hunter watching TV! It was so amusing I had to take a picture of him watching the show about cats that he was watching. Guess what else? I got lucky, because he walks on a harness and leash!

I can watch those its the o ones I hate to watch when withdrawin.... I dealt with dts from some binges on alcohol I wnet on and I can't tolerate any alcohol at all in my body anymore it gets me sick as soon as I drink and then I have to wake up with the shakes looking for more soI can just stay abstinent from that. Its like alcohol wont allow me to drink that long before my body starts to reject it very fast. Strange huh??

OK, DH and I are watching Animal Cops-Philadelphia. Every one of these shows features some poor dog whose only apparent issue is "food aggression." Here's another one. The so-called handler pokes and prods at the dog's food bowl, literally provoking an aggressive response. "Uh oh! He's not adoptable because he's food-aggressive! Bye!" And the dog is euthanized.

I knew about Oscar. Isn't he cute? :-) I watched a TV show on Animal Planet about him. He is so fluffy!

Does anyone else get nauseous seeing certain food on TV? :/ I don't literally throw up, but it just looks gross lol.

Get out trucks, trains and things like that and they can push them around. play simon says. Do crazy animal walks . . you call out an animal and they take a turn walking like the animal and making the noises of that animal (the walking like an animal is soothing and calming to kids--- try bear walk, leap frog, crab walks, duck walks, etc). Put on music and have them dance and then stop it abruptly and they freeze (kids love that and it gets them moving), etc. Kids do like to wrestle.

And when they asked the TV audience to follow the hypnotist instructions if we wanna check it on ourselves, i din't believe it was real so i followed. It took like 30 seconds. In a moment I quickly started to loose consciousness and this scared me really hard so made mental effort to interrupt it so i didn't fall asleep completely and i stayed awake. After this it felt like smth changed in my head. I felt kind of fuzzily and sleepy when continuing on watching that show and after.

Lol my daughter watches TV now at almost 5 months! She watches bubble guppies and the Disney Channel shows. It's the only thing that stops her from crying sometimes!!

My nephew, Ashton will literally wake up in the middle of the night and SCREAM bawling his eyes out if the dvd stopped and the tv went blank. But if the tv stays on and he has something to watch, he'll be cool and collect. Plus babies just like noise and lights a lot, it keeps them entertained.

s a thing wrong with your Yorkie responding to things on the TV that he finds interesting. They probably view the TV as a window on a world of things to see, much as they might view an actual window. But when it's shut off, my dog pays it no attention at all.

Our Houston SPCA was very responsive until they got their own TV feature on the Animal Planet channel. Now they seem to be putting all their time and effort into huge, splashy cases that make good TV fodder - many of which aren't even in Houston. The smaller cases seem to get ignored. Just a crying shame.

My g/f also has (or had) the snake thing going on -they figured prominently in bad dreams and she was very uneasy seeing them on TV. I, on the other hand, enjoy them. Quite often, the fear is also coupled up with a sort of morbid fascination -sort of like not being able to pass a gruesome accident seen without looking through a squint at what disaster occurred. I don't know if that is true in your case, but in the case of my g/f, I relied on the fascination to help her get a better grip.

She may be playing and she could have watched it on tv or something and that gave her the idea. But I would talk to her and ask her why she is doing that. Dig deep. Why do you hang your animals? Were they being naughty? etc...Maybe you can figure out if she is just playing, and mention casually ya its not okay that we be mean, only pretend play..
