is it safe to take amoxicillin while you areabout 13-14 weeks pregnant and if so what are the risks to your baby while you are takeing it ?
If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?
I have 4 days worth of amoxicillin left ( 3 500mg pills taken daily). My next appointment is this coming Tuesday.
So I caught a bacteria on my throat last month and was prescribed with Amoxicillin. It got rid of the infection, but then right after my tonsils from inside my throat was swollen and was taking Prednisone. It went away. I felt better and now I have it again. A bacteria on my tonsils and I found out I am getting it from my filthy fan. This time the doctor gave me Clindamycin.
Thanks, my treatment was the traditional weekly interferon injections and ribavirin daily pills. I had read blogs of other HCV treated patients who had amoxicillin and showed a flare up of the virus. I didn't have any scientific evidence.
A couple of days after the occurance my friend (in medical school) gave me 3 Amoxicillin pills of 500mg. I took two one day and then another day took one. At about a week after exposure,, my friend gave me more of the same Amoxicillin 500mg pills. I took them every 8 hours until I ran out. I had 7 pills.
I am really worried about Stds. What was my risk from the exposure? Also, did the Amoxicilin do anything if I indeed had acquired an STD from that exposure? Am I at risk of HIV?
I have been able to clear and heal the wound and have been dosing him with amoxicillin. He seems to have an allergy to this antibiotic as I have discovered hes been throwing up in the basement. This is the usual drug I use to treat abscess-type infections and I want to make sure the interior infection clears up. Is there a good alternative to amoxicillin for this type of infection?

I postponed my regularly scheduled teeth cleaning/check-up, because it was only a few weeks away. I re-scheduled it for one month from the end of this amoxicillin treatment.

I went to the doctor the other day because of post-nasal drip (followed by cold and sore throat on multiple ocassions), and she diagnosed me with sinus infection and put me on amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875+125 dosage). However when the time came for me to take my pill, I realized I was unable to swallow it, even if I break it in half.

The problem is that she told me to take only one pill of amoxicillin (500mg) every 12 hours but it was supposed to be two pills (1g) according to FDA and other resources. I am very concerned because I know that this bacteria becomes resistant to antibiotics. What should I do?, How long do I wait before I take another test to see if the bacteria is gone or not?
I have an ear infection and fluid in my ear. My doctor prescribed amoxicillin. Also, Im taking sudafed(nasal decongestant) for the fluid. I took the amox. at 12pm today and the sudafed at 4pm. Right now it is 10:25pm. I have a headache. Im suffering right now from it, what can i take for a headache? Can i take excedrin tension. Thats the only pills helps my headache. Please Help!!!!
My doctor diagnose me with UTI and was advised to take antibiotic (amoxicillin) though she advised that this is the safest for pregnant mum, I'm kinda hesitant to take it. Do u mum's experience anything of this? What can you advised me to to get rid of my UTI? Thanks!
My doctor just perscribed Amoxicillin to me for a bacterial infection in my leg. About a day later ( after taking 2 pills the previous day) my mouth feels dry and i have diahrea. I dont have trouble eating and no visible changes with my tongue. I've been taking the medication for about 5 days now and the symptoms are still continuing. Other than the dry mouth and diahrea, i feel fine.

What's the earliest anyone has experienced symptoms? Overall pain (hit by a train), overwhelming fatigue, stiff neck, low grade fever? I was bit 3 times - have 2 rashes.They are all in the same area on my back and I didn't know they were there until my husband saw the rashes and one tick. Dr says it looks like 2 ticks were involved. If so, one got away on its own. I was on doxycycline but had an allergic reaction so I'm now on amoxicillin.
My husband has been taking amoxicillin and diclofenac sodium and I have looked up the reasons why leading to stds. He has told me he has not cheated on me, I certainly havent cheated on him. The doctor put me now on flagyl and Amoxicillin. He told me that one of the serious side eefects can be numbness (from Flagyl I think) and that I should stop immediately. I had just started taking Alesse for the first time and was only one pill in when I received the antibiotic (amoxicillin). I took it concurrently with the birth control for only two days, at 250mg a pill, three pills a day. I was then told I didn't need to finish the remainder of the pills, so I took my birth control normally every night at 10 30pm for the month without missing a single one or being late once. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?
