I was prescribed Amoxicillin a couple days ago for strep throat and an ear infection and when I opened the bottle to take it I noticed that it smelled bad. I don't know if it's normal or not so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

See if the Amoxicillin can be switched to liquid form and flavored. Nowadays, some children's medications can be flavored. Ask your pharmacist about this.
The powder in those capsules are VERY bitter, so applesauce might not cover the taste very well. Check with your pharmacist and/or read the info that came with the medication to make sure you can even do this.

I have been able to clear and heal the wound and have been dosing him with amoxicillin. He seems to have an allergy to this antibiotic as I have discovered hes been throwing up in the basement. The first time my doctor gave me a z pack and the 30 weeks amoxicillin and my baby so far and to my knowledge is healthy (33 weeks). If you keep feeling bad I'd go get some antibiotics.
I still have some Fluocinonide Ointment .05%. Would it be ok to use this on my penis? I am on Amoxicillin right now for my acne. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I have since finished those pills, but I mention this because when I was a kid, I was told I was allergic to the dye in the liquid amoxicillin (banana medicine). I got hives, apparently, when I took it. Maybe it's actually the amox? But I'm wondering if the allergic reaction could have been dormant until the last couple days of the pills?

I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
