Longstory short, I demanded that they performed a sperm culture and voila, positive for e coli resistant to cipro (probably thats why levo didnt work), bactrim and amoxicillin. However it was sensible to amoxicillin clavulanic, fosfomycine, nitrofurantoin and imipenem. So the doctor choice was amox clav 4 weeks and 1 dose of fosfomycice 3 g every week.
My question is: if my ecoli is resistant to amox but sensible amox clav is it the best choice?
finally my doctor put me on amoxicillin/Clav 875mg and that helped a little. and the bronchitis seemed to have cleared. then a week later my ears begin to hurt. the pain was pretty bad. i thought it would go away on its own but after a week it seemed to be getting worse. so back to the doctor yet again. he again gave a me a shot in the but of antibiotics and then same antibiotic again amoxicillin/clav 875 mg. after a few days the pain lessened but it is still there.
I went to the doctor the other day because of post-nasal drip (followed by cold and sore throat on multiple ocassions), and she diagnosed me with sinus infection and put me on amoxicillin with clavulanic acid (875+125 dosage). However when the time came for me to take my pill, I realized I was unable to swallow it, even if I break it in half.
Take the Agumentin (amoxicillin and clav) with a full glass of water when you take it and try to have food with it. That helps with stomach issues. They do often use that dose BID, or twice a day (12 hours) but TID is also done. The issue is that teeth are close to the brain, right? Dentists do not play around when knocking out an infection. And Amoxicillin is very commonly used at higher doses now (due to resistance). The clavulanate doesn't go up, just the amoxicillin).
The girl I had sex with got tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia one week ago by urine test and was negative, but she did take a course of amoxicillin clav for a week prior because of a dog bite. She had zero symptoms as well. Could this be disseminated gonorrhea or am I just freaking out for no reason. Should I just listen to my doctor and believe it’s shingles?
What antibiotic were you on? Quite a few are safe during pregnancy. Some are not.
I thought I was having s heartattack or stroke.. Went to ER and they gave me amox clav pills and a steroidal antibiotic. Everyday taking the amox clav I felt I was heading in the right direction. I even had a couple days off having no lightheaded dizzy feeling. Wants I finished those pills within a few days the lightheaded foggy head feeling began to come back and has been constant since. Should I have taken the amox clav longer? What could it be?
Thanks for the reply. I am currently taking Amox Clav 850mg/125mg for a troat infection from cold. Is that help to prevent any things? Besides is it safe to resume regular sex activities with my partner? In your opinion, there is really no need fot testing at this moment?

They have me taken amoxicillin (don't think k I spelled that right) and the doctor said that they would treat me during labor to since it could come back before then.
I started AMOXI CLAV 875mg/125mg for little amounts of painless inflammation in my throat and I’m 4 days into it and I feel really nervous shaky and jittery and nitghttime during my sleep. Throughout the night I’ll wake up and feel this. Also adrenaline rushes too. This all started the first day of the antibiotic. Wondering if I can stop antibiotic if I started for minor inflammation painless. It’s not an infection or sickness or anything severe. Just minor inflammation that I didn’t even feel.
I then 2 weeks later on 1/10/08 later had a 102 fever, I went to the doctor and went on a 10 day anti-biotic(MOX/K CLAV TAB 875MG 2 a day). I was on bed rest for 4 days and felt that I had recovered. Just last week similar symptoms began to show up. My tongue is a solid white ( but light in a way), when I drink it feels like there is a dry spot in the back of my throat. I am drinking lots of fluids, chammolie tea, vitamins.
Two days later I was worse, right eye was swollen completely shut and left eye was starting to close. Went back to doc he gave me a shot and oral Amoxic/Clav for 10 days. Still had red patch and swollen, on May 5 doc gave me another 5 days Amoxic/Clav. Finished last night. NO change, still have red patch and small hard knot by eye brow down to in side of the bridge of nose to corner of eye. NOW for two days when I look left to right I have severe eye pain in both eyes.
I’ve been to the ear clinic to have it syringed and also been treated with antibiotics (co amoxi clav) but still no change. I saw an ENT specialist on Wednesday who put a camera up my nose and down into my throat, and checked my ear but says theres nothing...
I am worried that the pain and swelling will always be there if there is no explanation for it...
I've had weird heart symptoms and anxiety after taking 3 g of leftover amoxicillin. It started with the anxiety and a heavy, fast heart rate. I've never had anxiety before, so this was alarming to me. I felt like I was always conscious of my breathing too, which made it feel like it was harder to breathe. Then I started getting chest pain and pain in my left arm, near the elbow, as well as slight numbness in my left hand fingers. These symptoms lasted throughout the night.

I ended up getting treated for urethritis and for two weeks I took cipro but that failed against the urethritis so I took amox clav and it worked but I passed it on to my girlfriend after he cipro didn’t work before I went on amox clav. So we both got treated with doxycycline and I just finished mine 4 days ago. We have not had sex yet and I had a rash on begin to form under my penis head and on the shaft of my penis.
Was on antibiotics for 4 months straight, last year. This year Feb/March been on antibiotics Amox/Clav. Each time, I complete course of antibiotics, I begin sneezing up a storm !! My eyes feel horrible, swollen, pressure, ithcy, etc.... Opthomology did a very in depth exam of my eyes twice, could not find anything abnormal. Since last year, I've tried Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra, and now Xyzal. No allergy meds works, I still sneeze up a storm.
I was diagnosed with prostatitis and my urologist prescribed amoxi-clav 3 time a day for 6 weeks. Me and my wife planning to have a baby next year, I am wondering if the antibiotic I am taking affects my sperm DNA. Or should I wait until finish the treatment to make sure everything is fine?
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?
