amoxicillin dosing for children

my 7 month old is on amoxicillin for an ear infection. I just gave him 2 teaspoons instead of the 1 teaspoon as instructed. What are the side effects?

My cat had an abscess on his back - which I have enough experience with to treat myself. I have owned cats for 30 years. I have been able to clear and heal the wound and have been dosing him with amoxicillin. He seems to have an allergy to this antibiotic as I have discovered hes been throwing up in the basement. This is the usual drug I use to treat abscess-type infections and I want to make sure the interior infection clears up.

Amoxicillin is fine if it's the correct antibiotic. Dental infections can be from either an aerobic bacteria or anaerobic bacteria. Having the correct antibiotic is VERY important. I have a small dog (11lbs) and she was recently at the vet for an injury to her head and other lacerations from another dog. I always worry about over dosing because of her size. The Dentist put me on amoxicillin 875mg twice a day, after 6 days I called him as it was having no effect. he then put me on clyndamycin 300mg twice a day, this is day two, it seemed better this morning and by this afternoon it isswelling slightly the tissue above my tooth is spongie again and I can tell it's filling with pus.

The first two weeks my symptoms were severe night sweats ,chills wheezing cough , sinus congestion, headache, very sore when swallowing [felt like I had swallowed razorblades] and white coating on my tongue . The second week I bought over the counter amoxicillin 500mg twice daily for 10 days standard medication for Strep throat . After taking the antibiotics[ week two] for 6 days the night sweats chills ,headache and severe pain when swallowing these symptoms disappeared.

Which I am sceptical because when I took Amoxicillin it was 1 a day pill for a week and as soon as i took it the bacteria was going away. Now I've taken Clindamycin like 5 times, because it's 1 pill ever 6 hours. There is 28 pills in total. But I don't see the bacteria fading, like the Amoxicillin.

IF I AM NOT TAKING TWO TO THREE OF THESE MEDS EVERY 2-3 HRS,, I HURT SOOOO BAD I AM TEMPTED TO PULL MY OWN TOOTH,,,,,{NO JOKE} I FEEL I AM OVER DOSING ON MEDS,,, AND NO RELIEVE IS THIS NORMAL????????, OH, THEY COMPLETED THE RCT. THE SAME DAY AND FILLED IT I CANT STAND THIS PAIN ANY MORE ........ PLEASE HELP ME .......IS THIS NORMAL TO NOT SLEEP. EAT, AND POP SO MANY PILLS FOR RELIFE??? OR DO I NEED TO RETURN TO MY DENTIST?????HELP ME PLEASE........

Would the typical dosage amounts of these meds used to treat children for seizures be applicable for this condition? If these medications cannot be used in children for neurogenic cough, what other alternative meds would be helpful?

Due to a recent oral sex encounter, I got tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia in the throat. Those swabs were done with the Aptima Combo 2 Assay and came back negative. I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep. I was feeling fine and healed until yesterday when my throat started to hurt again.
