Hi, I had a UTI first trimester and had to take antibiotics and now in my second trimester had a sinus, ear and chest infection and had to take Amoxcillan again and I was reassured it was safe. So try not worry...just try and get better for your baby. Hope this helps..

I was on that alot before my pregnancy my doctor told me to stop taking it if i could just get better without them but he said i could take them if i wanted to but i said no this was when i was in my first trimester.

I have a kidney infection and in on keflex anti biotic. If they prescribed anti biotic its BC its important, kidney infection can cause pre term labor and it was complicating my pregnancy. I'm 21 weeks out of my first trimester though, if u were really worried u can call you're dr and ask about the risks.

He did do a pregnancy test though because the hospital told me to wait until 8 weeks and he came back and said it was very positive so now it's confirmed and I just have to wait to meet with my ob dr on sept 23rd

I took antibiotics twice during my first trimester and as long as the Dr. Knows your pregnant they prescribe meds that are safe during pregnancy and they usually only prescribe to pregnant women when it's necessary. As being sick or having a fever etc. Can also harm your growing baby.

with my LLMD and he said that he has treated 30 pregnancies and 0 babies tested positive with cord blood PCR after birth. I'll be 19 in a couple months and am in my second trimester with my first. My best advice is to not worry so much, eat healthy, listen to your doctor and don't get too stressed out. Though you do have a few medical issues that im sure make you more nervous than some take comfort in the fact that though we're considered young to have children this is the best time, biologically speaking, for us to carry.

Its normal to worry about children and once its here u will still worry about it. But with that being said you can't let it take away this joyful time. Pregnancy is a wonderful blessing from God. Listen to ur body and try not to worry so much about what could happen BC that consumes you. Also reading the what to expect when your expecting book helped me a lot. It explains in detail what to expect and what's normal and also what's not so I didn't stress all the time.
