No where on the Amoxicillin bottle did it warn about messing with birth control. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend within the first couple of days of taking Amoxicillin. Now my period is late and I am concerned that I may be pregnant. What are my chances?

Hi there , so i currently had my wisdom teeth taken out and was given antibiotics to help any infection from coming and after a week of taking them me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex he did not ejaculate inside of me, and i have been and am currently taking birth control diane35 for about 3 years now? i also did not realize that amoxicillin alters the effectiveness of birth control.. am i at really high risk for being pregnant? i still have a bit to go till my period would come ..

I take the mini pill birth control and did not do any emergency contraceptive afterwards because I’m on birth control ,and the concerns kicked in about the antibiotics possibly affecting the mini pill birth control. and even though you might be done your antibiotics.....it messes up your birth control and it takes a few cycles for birth control to take effect and idk...i just wouldnt want to risk it i would use condoms and continue to take birth control...becuase i would think you still need to stat taking it awhile and it wouldnt have even been a month since you stopped taking your antibiotic.

Hi. Here's my question. I'm 16, and not ready for a child but I am sexually active. I have been faithfully on my birth control (Tri-Sprintec) for around 7 months. I was diagnosed with strep throat 4 days ago and was prescribed amoxicillin. My doctor said there was a chance the anti-biotic could decrease my birth control's effectiveness. I'm on my period and my boyfriend and I did the deed last night and this morning. We did not use a condom and he did not ejaculate at all.
