Ambien light

Common Questions and Answers about Ambien light

ambien

1218318 tn?1266808601 I withdrew off the opiates and thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel. The light turned out to be a freight train. I started taking Ambien, mostly less than prescribed, when my Dr gave it to me as needed because my pain wouldn't let me sleep. I took 1/2 to 3/4 of a 10mg tab for only 10 months. I simply got hooked on a good night's sleep. After detoxing from vikes I felt it's time to quit Ambien next. I didn't think much of it as being a problem (?
6074055 tn?1378958419 I don't feel tired anymore after taking Ambien for 3 years. I just got off of Ambien 2 months ago. I tapered my dose the right way. I feel like there is something wrong with my brain because i never feel tired or sleepy. I don't have any withdrawal symptoms other than not feeling tired. I feel very alert and awake. I cant sleep at all at night. I only get maybe an hour or 2 of very light sleep. It doesn't matter if i sleep a little bit or none i still wont feel tired or exhausted.
Avatar n tn Can any one tell me the proper way to ween off ambien CR12.5 mg and xaxax 0.5 mg 2x a day on and off for about 8 yrs?
Avatar m tn I can tell you from experience, both Ambien and Ambien CR are notorious for causing odd behavior. I had to quit taking Ambien CR after it stated causing anxiety and pacin attack issues. Regular Ambien caused my husband to rise an hour after going to sleep and go down to our garage and work on his bike until 3:30 AM, when I realized he wasn't in bed and found him downstairs asleep.
337492 tn?1212458836 I have used those for sleep before. Unfortunately now I use ambien. I do have some melatonin, which is a natural herb So I am going to talk with my dr. so I will have his permission to take it. Just some info that may help if the ocean sounds start to stop working.
Avatar f tn Have you tried Ambien or Sonata? I take Ambien (have been on it for about 4 years) - some nights it works well and others it's like I've taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose.
Avatar m tn You could be opening a huge can of worms w/ ambien. Will 2 hurt you? No. If you like ambien, you could be at risk trading one addiction for the other. Yes, if you haven't tried melatonin, do it. I take it. Seems to work. But, the biggest thing is that sleep will come back. It's just takes a while. By, 25 days you should be getting SOME sleep, 4 hours a night I would think. Make sure you are drinking no caffeine at all during this!
Avatar f tn Well you got five. I hate to hear that you went thru that. And now this. As for sleep i used ambien at first.
1218318 tn?1266808601 Once I got past Hydro WD I decided to drop back down to 7.5MG of Ambien, contemplating quitting it. I quickly went into full Ambien withdrawal, with very little sleep. It was a total nightmare.
Avatar n tn That didnt really bother me until this started happening, right b4 my appointment I started hallucinating like seeing things swirl on the floor and light flashing things hopping in the corner of my eye. Then when we get to the doctor (my dad drove again) they had to cancel and now im stuck scared ******** for the next month. Im really frightened about what i might be turning into or just realizing what i really was idk....
Avatar n tn I am a 36 y/o female. I have had sleep problems since about 13. It started out as light sleeping and has continued to evolve from there. My father has the same problem. I have tried many different sleep meds. Restoril, Vistaril, Valium, deseryl, rozarem (did nothing for me), and now am taking ambien. I have a script for regular and CR. The CR works better but is expensive so I don't take it as often.
Avatar n tn By now, I'm hoping you've conquered getting the Ambien monkey off of your back. I am on day 5 of Ambien withdrawl. The first 72 hours were pretty bad: zero sleep, sweats, severe stomach pain, headache, neckache and backache, diarrhea, nausea. I cold-turkeyed it as I wanted off Ambien ASAP. Was up to nearly 20 mgs a night every night for sleep for two months.
Avatar f tn ll suggest that the human body is designed to work during daylight and sleep during night darkness. So, try to be sure you get lots of light during the day and get some reasonable level of exercise. If you have a sedimentary life/work you need to put in some time exercising, just walking for 20 or 30 minutes a day should help. Then avoid eating and drinking anything with a stimulant in it during the hours before bedtime.
Avatar f tn I used to be able to sleep in on the weekends, but now I can't even sleep till my alarm on weekdays. It's just too bright and I end up waking up just after sunrise. I'm not talking about the kind of brightness a darkening curtain would help. I wear two sleeping masks and that still isn't dark enough. It's like my forehead can sense that there is still light in the room. It's only dark enough if I sleep with a heavy pillow over my head.
Avatar m tn What are the side effects of the Ambien? I will have to ask the doctor about ambien. Thanks! Hubby is getting a rash on his chest and requires some cream for that too!
Avatar f tn He said that one of her eye is tilted in (not looking straight), her pupils are huge and will not respond to light. He demanded that they go to the E.R. immediately. They are on the way now. He now agrees with me that she is "not there" now that he has seen her. What could this be? I know she drinks quite heavily, and takes Ambien like crazy. I would assume this could be the issue? What is this result? I am just a concerned ex-husband that is really looking for some sort of answers.
Avatar f tn How do you get through an Ambien withdrawl? I was taking up to 7 a day> shaking, sweating, nausea and my mind feels drunk. R there any non-addictive meds to help the detox?
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever been given ambien during pregnancy? I just started on it last night to help me sleep. Anyone have any negative effects? Should i be worried about my babies?
Avatar f tn I'm 16+2 my dr prescribed me ambien..I'm scared to take it as I've seen what it does to my mom...anyone not have bad side effects like sleep walking, sleep driving or hillucinating?
Avatar f tn I've looked up a lot about ambien during pregnancy and I haven't found anything saying you shouldn't take it or that it'll harm the baby. Has anyone spoken to their doctor about ambien? I've had ambien prescription for years and it's really hard for me to sleep. No I'm not addicted, I used to take it only once or twice a week. It wasn't an every day thing. But it gets sooooo hard for me to sleep some nights so I'm wondering if it's safe.
491910 tn?1209366193 then 30...and so on until its 5 then jump off. I have ambien, rozerem scripts myself but stopped the ambien and made it a once a week or less thing because it can be bad news. You might want to see if the Dr will switch you to say lunesta and see if you can use that while getting off ambien or when you tapered low enough to jump and switch. Good luck.
Avatar n tn r u sure it is the ambien? it could be a mixture? all 3 drugs aggravate depression and out of the 3 ambien is categorized as the least addictive of the three drugs u r taking.....i would talk to my doctor and find another alternative for sleep....taking these every night could get u into trouble..have u tried the natural sleep aids like melatonin, valerian, etc?
870200 tn?1240459551 Does anybody hae any comments about ambien? That stuff is crazy.... when I take it I find myself calling people and having intense conversations but the next day I can't remember anything. I can't even remember going to bed. But if I don't take it I can't fall asleep...
