allergies

Avatar m tn Has anybody experience these little itchy rashes? And is allergy medicine like Benadryl or zertac safe with having hbv? Dr on vacation for next three weeks.
Avatar f tn You should NEVER give a prescription medication to someone for whom it hasn't been prescribed. It not only could be dangerous (say, suppose they have an allergy to it that they/you are not aware of), but it's also illegal to give someone a medication that has not been prescribed for them. I would think the 4 advil would be ok for him, based on his weight, however, I would make sure he took them with food, as they can be very hard on the stomach.
Avatar f tn You can only take benedryl, nothing else.
Avatar f tn Can i take any type of non drowsy allergy medicine. I took a 24 hr non drowsy generic brand of allegra before i was pregnant? Can i still take it? I really am having a tough time with allergies without any medicine.
1125622 tn?1295420118 The very next pill is the one that did it to me... as the advice nurse said if you can continue to take the medicine try to but that was about it for me. Started experiencing the same reaction I have had in the past to doxycycline, vancomycin, azithromycin, pencillin, keflex, and co-trimoxazole.I want to stress this reaction sometimes comes with a faint rash sometimes not at all.
Avatar f tn About 4 weeks ago I woke up with a bit of a scratchy throat, it was more like the kind of scratchy feeling you get with hayfever, the only thing I put it down to was the fact that I get reflux at night, I get dreadful heartburn as soon as I lay down. Anyway, its winter for one thing and I haven't done anything different to normal recently so I didn't think it was hayfever or like.
Avatar f tn Taller than me and his dad. He was put on thyroid medicine a little over 2 years ago and since we have had that under control for 2 years drs don't think that is causing these problems. His symptoms are getting worse. The lights and sun make the burning sensation worse so he started having trouble at school because he would feel burning all over and dizzy and could not concentrate.
Avatar n tn When it stopped being covered under brand name on our rx policy we switched to the generic. Under the generic Escitalopram0 (10 mg x 2 per day) he got headaches, dizziness, inability to focus the way he should, "fuzzy" feelings. The brand is $275 per month. If there is a natural compound or herb etc could you let us know. I always knew that certain generics would not work the same way. If the only choice is lexapro then that will have to be.
284738 tn?1283106819 Allergy testing isn't going to be reliable until she is much older (usually 2+ years). The dark circles can very well be allergic shiners...OR hereditary! My daughter is 2.5 and has them as well. Always has. :( People always ask if she's tired or has been crying! They are much more noticeable when she IS tired, or sick. Hers are hereditary. (thanks to me!
Avatar n tn It done daily by putting drops under your tongue for 2 minutes so no injections. This is also a much gentler way of immunotherapy.

Avatar n tn they get really swollen and the skin above and under them gets really really dry. They also get really itchy, but i use allergy eye drops to help that. However, my eyes still continue to get swollen and dry. I am currently taking Allegra-D and Singulair for my allergies. My doctor had prescribed me to Pata-a-Day Eye Drops as well, but they became too expensive and weren't working very well, so i switch to an over the counter brand. My medicine is obviously not working very great either.
Avatar f tn as well as afrin and a couple of allergy medicines (not all allergy medicines though)...every pregnancy is different though and every Dr is different as to what they prefer so I would definitely call.

I took him to the Vet for this itch and the vet said he has an allergy...and gave him a cortisone shot. The itch stopped for a year. Now I have no car to take him back in and he is always scratching under his chin and behind his head/neck.

Then in June I got a sinus headache and my life has not been the same. I have been to the family doctor, the ENT, allergies and now I am going to a neurologist. My symptoms are burning sensation in cheeks leading to ears and teeth.
4244557 tn?1371701336 at the beginning of my pregnancy my doctor gave me a list of medications that were safe to take during pregnancy. for allergies she had 2 different shots listed and an over the counter medicine. I myself suffer from seasonal allergies and so does my friend who is due the end of July. I had told her that we could take the over the counter meds and she told me that we couldn't because allergy meds dry up the amniotic fluid. is that true or is it safe to take the medicine.
